The college could have been better.

Placements: Placements could be better for both for my batch as well as senior batches. Only 30-40 percent students got placed. Highest salary was 4.8 LPA and average was 2.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro and Tech Mahindra came for recruiting students. All the students got internship from the college itself.

Very dis-appointing experience.

Placements: Frankly speaking, placements were not that good as not even a single electrical company came for on-campus placements. Only very few software companies turned up. the highest salary was 4.8 lakh p.a and average was 3 lakh p.a. from the companies like Wipro, TCS and OBO. Yes, I got internship from college.

The placements disappointed the students.

Placements: The placements were not that good, especially for Electrical and Civil Engineering students. The college was not able to bring good Core companies. Wipro, Tech Mahindra, TCS etc. came for placements. The highest salary was Rs. 4.2 lakhs pa. All the students got an opportunity to undergo internships.

BCET a place to learn but don't expect to get placed

Placements: Placements in BCET are just like searching for pin in a dark room. In my branch, only twenty percent of students got placed which is not good in contrast with the previous year statistics. The highest salary offered was 6 lacs, lowest was 2.35 lacs and the average was 3.3 in which 51 students got placed. The companies which visited for my batch were TCS, Think and Learn Pvt Ltd., Concierge Technology, Tech Mahindra, Swadesh Softwares, etc. They recruited the students for the role of Assistance S...

Dis-satisfied with the placements

Placements: It's very disappointing to say but there were no placements at all for Electrical Engineering students, as not even a single electrical company turned up for placements. Only software companies came. The scenario was same for previous batches also. Only 30-40 percent students got placed. Only two or three big companies came such as Tech Mahindra, Wipro and TCS came to our campus. Although, students got internship from college.

B.C.E.T - Not upto the mark.

Placements: The placements were not that good for my batch as well as the senior batch also. Only software giants like TCS and Wipro came for the placements, and apart from that, the placements for departments like electrical, civil and mechanical were very disappointing as nearly 40 percent students got placed. The highest salary offered was 3.5 lakhs PA, and all the students got the internship from college.

Review of Bengal College of Engineering and Technology

Placements: Initially, it was great. But as years passed by, the placement dried up. Now, very few companies come for placements that can also be a reason for not so great management in the college. Hope the placements again happened the way they were previously. The main reason also can be the almost no existence of big companies in West Bengal.

Not upto the expectations and could have been better.

Placements: Placements were not that good. There were actually no on campus placements at all for Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students. Only a few software companies like TCS and Wipro came but they also hired very less number of students. Software developer and Programmer were some of the roles offered to students.

The infrastructure is really good. Every department has its own building. The faculty members are good and interactive. The placements are average. The college has to work a little more for its placement. But all deserving candidates get placed. Companies which come for recruitment include TCS, TECHMAHINDRA, etc.

Expected much better than this.

Placements: This is the area where most of the students will dislike this college for sure as the placements were below average and they could not bring good enough companies for almost 750 students here. The highest salary offered was 3.6 lakhs PA and the average package was 2.5 lakhs PA. Wipro, TCS and TechMahindra are the companies that came for the placements here. All the students got the internship from here.

Bengal College of Engineering and Technology is one the finest college in West Bengal. It is under WBUT and AICTE approved. The campus infrastructure is healthy and hygienic with good separate hostels facilities of boys and girls. Faculty members are very friendly and helpful and they are quite experienced. I will refer to my junior to join this college without any hesitation. They also provide better placement (enriched in it sectors).

At the time period of 2007 to 2011 the college is best but now day’s situation of college is not so good. Many of teachers are either thrown out or leave the college recently. Due to this strikes were going on. That's why the percentage of taking admission in this college is decreasing year by year. Also the placement is not so good. Otherwise the campus is big enough to fulfill college life.

I have completed my B.tech in the year 2014 from this college and until that time this institute had an excellent reputation in West Bengal for its classroom learning, laboratories, placement as well as infrastructure. This institute’s faculty members have an excellent concept in area of engineering and they all are able to portray excellent level of knowledge, skillset and capability. This institute has some weaknesses like not able to place all the students of some branches like Civil, AEIE an...

This is one of the best engineering colleges whose name speaks for itself. It has a host of clubs and activities to choose from for all round development, depending on your interests. Robotics, aero modelling, quizzing and debating are just few of the many activities available. College hosts three fests, which itself are worth joining the campus for. Of course, you can't miss too many classes, attendance is strict.

Infrastructure of the college is good, as compared to other colleges, it is more disciplined and regular class is mandatory. Placement like all other private colleges, is below average. Software branches get some chances in companies like TCS but there is no chance for core branches. If you want just the degree and you can work hard, get into this college. Environment in the campus is quite good.

The ambiance of the college is very refreshing. The faculty members are very co-operative. Have lived some of the best days of my life in this college. Made new friends, had someone to look upon as my idol who was a teacher. The library was a good place to read books. The teachers were very supportive and always helped us in whatever the need be.

BCET, Durgapur is a famous college in west Bengal. The infrastructure of this college is good and the quality of technological study is really better than other colleges. The placement is not too much good for core branches. The location is totally mind blowing.
