Q:   How is the overall infrastructure of BPIT Delhi?

    A:
    {Source: B.Tech students & alumni]

BPIT Delhi provides a good campus life for girl students, with flexible timing for extracurricular activities, no dress code restrictions, and moderate college events. The mess food is of acceptable quality, and there are hygienic cooking arrangements. Attendance policies and additional expenses like books are managed well. There is no language barrier in the campus, and the academic schedule is relatively hectic but manageable. The teaching methodology focuses on textbook-based lectures with case studies, and there are well-stocked research resources available. Security measures such as guards and CCTV cameras are present, and outsiders can enter the campus without permission. The college takes a strict stance against ragging and has a good balance of academics and extra-curricular activities.

Based on the reviews provided, the overall infrastructure of BPIT Delhi for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering seems to be good. All the reviewers have mentioned that the college provides various facilities such as digital classrooms, libraries, computer labs, Wi-Fi, hostels, mess and sports facilities like basketball, volleyball, cricket, football, etc. The hostels are well maintained and offer good facilities to the students and the mess and canteen provide hygienic and tasty food. The college also has a library, playground and medical facilities available. However, some reviewers have suggested that the campus is small and could benefit from more modern equipment in the laboratories and expanded recreational spaces. Additionally, there is only one hostel for girls, which may not meet the demand for accommodation.

Summary: The infrastructure of BPIT Delhi for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering is generally good, with various facilities available for students. However, there is room for improvement in terms of modernizing the laboratory equipment and expanding recreational spaces, especially for girls.

    BPIT Review from a student.
Placements: Placements are decent here, with an average package of 7-8 LPA. CS and IT students get good packages. The placement rate is almost 80%+. Companies come here with packages ranging from 3 LPA to 35 LPA. If you want more, then you have to go off-campus. Companies like Banyan Melon, ZS Associates, Juspay, Zomato, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon visit here. You can grab good packages if you are good at coding.
Infrastructure: The college area is too small, only 6 acres of land. But the infrastructure is well maintained and good. Facilities like AC libraries, canteens, stationery, printing shops, girls' hostels, sports grounds, and cafes are here. Sports like cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, kabaddi, and table tennis are available here. The classrooms are well-equipped and good.
Faculty: The curriculum is old, like in other engineering colleges. In your first year, you will learn Environmental Science, Manufacturing Processes, Engineering Drawing, and the Indian Constitution, which is totally irrelevant in Computer Science. The faculty is good; most of them are Ph.D. holders, and some are pursuing their Ph.D. side by side.
Other: There is an annual fest held here every year, known as Malhaar, which is also quite famous. Small events happen 2-3 times a month. There are many college societies for teaching, dancing, music, poetry, painting, etc. You can join any of them according to your interest.

Overall a good college with good placements but you have to compromise with campus.
Placements: Placement opportunities here are good. Companies come with packages of 3 LPA to 35-37 LPA. The CSE and IT average will be around 9-10 LPA, and ECE and EEE will be around 7 and 5 LPA, respectively. For more packages, you have to go to off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The college is too small, only 6 acres in area, but the building, ground, and library are well-maintained and clean. There is only one hostel, which is for girls. Boys have to find a PG or something nearby the location. The canteen is good with reasonable prices. The library is good with AC and Wi-Fi.
Faculty: Faculty members are good here and well-educated. Most of them are Ph.D. holders, and some are pursuing it side-by-side, but the curriculum here is old, as all the engineering colleges have. They will teach you subjects like Engineering Drawing, Environmental Science, Manufacturing Processes, and the Indian Constitution, which don't play a single role in the CS field.
Other: I chose CSE here over DTU Production Engineering and NSUT Mechanical Engineering because I have an interest in tech and coding, not in hardware. There is an annual fest called Malhaar held every year, and it is famous also.

    Placements need improvement.
Placements: The placement cell needs to be fully developed in the college. Yet, the college is able to provide the highest package of 14 LPA and the lowest package of 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Upgrade, Toppr, etc. Internships in the college are hard to get.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the college are just okay. The college has classrooms, computer labs, libraries, etc. Medical facility is not available in the college. The hostel of the college needs renovation. The food offered in mess and canteen is of good quality and tasty.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are experienced, but some of them are not, and they are rude towards us. But some of the teachers are humble and supportive also. The course curriculum is well-designed, but we need to study a lot apart from the course to get decent placements. In exams, we need 40% to pass.

A pretty average college if you did not get admission in any good options.
Placements: I am a fresher, so I don't know much about placements. Around 70% of students get placed. A pretty decent number of students get good packages. Most of the students depend on campus placements but if students hone their skills, they can get good packages from off-campus as well. The average salary package offered is around 12 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college consists of three buildings. It includes a main building, a new building, and a girls' hostel building. The main building has labs, classrooms, a library, etc. The new building has a common room for boys and girls. The girls' hostel building has Wi-Fi for students. There are different labs for each subject. The hostel is above average. Rooms are spacious. Washrooms are clean. The food is decent.
Faculty: Our teachers are knowledgeable, but all teachers are not helpful. The teaching quality of all teachers is not good. The course curriculum is a little behind, but our seniors make up for it as they provide students with quality feedback and advice. They make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately easy if students start preparing beforehand. It is not very difficult to score.

Average college, good placement in 2021, average infrastructure, and good facilities.
Placements: Almost 40% of students are placed in last batch, including off-campus placements. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. Top companies are Juspay and Accenture. All internships are from off-campus 30%, but college T&P cell is supportive. Top role offered is SDE.
Infrastructure: Classes are equipped with smart boards, Wi-Fi, and labs are well-equipped with all necessary tools. Library contains all books and is air-conditioned. Actually, my college has only girls' hostel, so I cannot tell much, but hostels are well-equipped with air conditioners, good security, and wardens.
Faculty: Teachers have good knowledge of the subject, but I will not say subject experts. Due to growing demands in semiconductor industry, course curriculum is not industry-oriented and needs to be more practical. Semester exams are easy, almost 90% pass the exam.
Other: Course attracts students due to growing demands in semiconductor industry and as ECE is an evergreen branch, it provides diverse career options. Malhaar Fest is organised every year, nearest metro is Rithala. Many activities are conducted by various societies.

    Highly dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: The number of students getting average packages is declining. There are students with high packages and low packages but their number is minimal. The student populace which constituted the highest packages were those with average placements but the number is decreasing now.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are fine but the lack of proper space and ventilation is an issue. Also, there are no air conditioners in the classes. The labs are equipped with wifi but only the lab systems can use it via ethernet. There is no wifi available for the students to use in the classes. The library is too small and is generally overcrowded. I cannot comment about the hostel as there is no boys hostel on the campus.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable while the others are not. The curriculum is not relevant and it does not make the students ready for the industry, the college faculty members themselves agreed to this. The course is rarely completed on time and some teachers in the past were not even interested in completing the course. The passing percentage is set by the university which is 40%.
