Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

College is fine and provides decent campus life with fine placements for CSE, and IT.
Placements: There is no proper placement in our college that gives the highest or average salary package. However, we came to know that 7 students got jobs in Juspay at 27 LPA, and HDFC Bank is registered on campus in our college. Mass hiring is done by TCS at a 5 LPA salary package and many other companies visited the college too. But many students remained unplaced too.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility in our college for boys and girls, it is miserably poor. Overall, infrastructure of our college is okay. If we talk about facilities we have proper classrooms, a big library (centralized air-conditioners), common rooms for both boys and girls, a big ground, proper laboratories, and conference halls. Overall, infrastructure is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are very helpful and help with small and big problems we face. Attendancealso fine, and there is no much problem with it. Most teachers are Ph.D. and higher educated. Overall semester exams are easy and we have to work a lot during exams which gives us quite good marks.
Other: I chose the college based on their 66 LPA placements, which were obviously off-campus. I don't know what they are, but I was disappointed after joining, but the placement is decent which doesn't overall affect the experience.

A pretty average college if you did not get admission in any good options.
Placements: I am a fresher, so I don't know much about placements. Around 70% of students get placed. A pretty decent number of students get good packages. Most of the students depend on campus placements but if students hone their skills, they can get good packages from off-campus as well. The average salary package offered is around 12 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college consists of three buildings. It includes a main building, a new building, and a girls' hostel building. The main building has labs, classrooms, a library, etc. The new building has a common room for boys and girls. The girls' hostel building has Wi-Fi for students. There are different labs for each subject. The hostel is above average. Rooms are spacious. Washrooms are clean. The food is decent.
Faculty: Our teachers are knowledgeable, but all teachers are not helpful. The teaching quality of all teachers is not good. The course curriculum is a little behind, but our seniors make up for it as they provide students with quality feedback and advice. They make students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately easy if students start preparing beforehand. It is not very difficult to score.

All about BPIT: Placement, Infrastructure, Course, Faculty.
Placements: Good placement opportunities are available. From the 7th semester, students are eligible to sit for placements. The average package for CSE/IT is 7 LPA and for ECE is 4-5 LPA. There are no on-campus internship opportunities; you need to try off-campus. The highest package is 50 LPA from Microsoft, and the lowest is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Amazon, Zomato, ZS Associates, Juspay, Cent, Chayos, Josh Technology, Deloitte, Yamaha, and Cognizant.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good with a 5-acre campus, lush green surroundings, and both AC and non-AC classrooms. Labs are well maintained, and the library is spacious and good. Wi-Fi is available around the campus. The college has a large ground, a basketball court, and all sports facilities. Medical facilities are also very good. Only a girls' hostel is available on campus, but PG accommodations are easily found outside. There are three canteens on campus, but the food quality of the mess is average.
Faculty: The faculty is well-qualified, experienced, and supportive. However, the syllabus is outdated, and some parts of the curriculum are not entirely relevant. Overall, it prepares you for the industry, but extra effort is needed to gain new skills. Semester exams are not very difficult, and the passing percentage is 40%.
Other: Information Technology is a good option at BPIT. The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, and placement opportunities are good. Attendance criteria are not strict; maintaining a decent 50% attendance is sufficient to get your admit card. The college organizes a popular annual fest called Malhaar, featuring singers and DJs. Connectivity is excellent with the nearest metro station being Rithala. The college attracts students from various parts of the country, and there are nearby hangout places such as amusement parks, movie theaters, malls, restaurants, and cafes. The college also provides scholarships to eligible students and has numerous societies for teaching, non-tech, cultural activities, drama, singing, dancing, and social work.

Reason to take admission in this college.
Placements: Sixty percent of the students in my course were placed. The highest package offered was 50 lakhs per annum, the lowest was 3 lakhs, and the average package was 6 lakhs. The top recruiting companies were Amazon, Zomato, and Razorpay. The college didn't offer any internships, but you could get an off-campus internship like GSOC, which is offered by Google. One of my batchmates cracked it. The top roles offered in my course were data analysts.
Infrastructure: The department provides labs, classrooms, and a library. The labs have a large collection of books, and it's easy to check them out. The classrooms have projectors that are useful for presentations. The labs have the necessary equipment, and the lab assistants are helpful. The food in the canteen is reasonably priced, but the quality is neither good nor bad. The medical facilities are adequate. The college has a large ground with basketball and volleyball courts, and a cricket team that we can try out for.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and well qualified. They use PPTs to teach us and make our concepts clear in an easy way. The curriculum is relevant and teaches us everything we need to know, from scratch to mastery. This makes us industry-ready in every way. The semester exams are mid-sem 1, mid-sem 2, and end-sem. Mid-sem is 40 marks each for 2 units, and end-sem is 60 marks for 4 units. The passing percentage is 33%.
Other: I chose this course because I feel it teaches coding better than any other course. I aspire to become a software engineer, so this course is the best fit for me. However, I wish the course offered more workshops with software engineers and internships with good companies. The college offers a scholarship for EWS and CAPF students. The college also has a variety of social clubs that students can join, including acting, dancing, drama, and coding. The college also hosts an annual fest called Malhaar, which is held in December. Many famous personalities have performed at this fest.

Overall, BPIT is a decent college, but keep in mind you have to work hard yourself.
Placements: The placement at BPIT is decent, and you will get placed if you are hardworking enough. The average package for the CSE/IT branch lies between 7-9 LPA for the batch of 2024, and decent companies like ZS and Accenture visit our college. Some mass recruiters also visit, but for internships, students go off-campus in the 2nd and 3rd years.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is average, and the college campus size is too small. The classrooms are not air-conditioned, and the Wi-Fi is very slow on our campus. The canteen food is also decent, and there are sports and games student clubs on campus.
Faculty: The faculty is supportive and helpful, and they also give advice to students. The teachers are also qualified. The course is a little outdated in relation to the tech industry. The semester exams are easy to pass, and the passing percentage is 40 marks out of 100.
Other: I chose this college because I am interested in tech. Our college also has an annual fest and provides scholarships for EWS students.
