Faculty members are qualified, knowledgeable and supportive. Labs and classrooms are also good.

Placements: Around 40% of the students were recruited for on-campus selection. In my course, the salary package offered was 3.36 LPA. Tata Consultancy Services Ltd visited our campus for recruitment. Associate system engineer role was offered to the students. Around 1-2% of the students got an internship.

If you don't get admission in NIT, then you can opt BIT.

Placements: Placements are more for computer science students and IT students. Companies visiting the campus are mostly the tech companies, whereas the core branches like electrical, mechanical, civil are left out. This is the reason why in BIT Durg the placement is mostly in the IT and CSE branches. Compared with electrical and electronics branch, our branch consisted of nearly 50-60 students in which only 10-12 got placed, and the rest went with the preparation of GATE. The topmost recruiting firms were I...

Faculty members in our college possess vast experience in teaching.

Placements: Almost 322 students got placed in the year 2018, and 40 companies visited the campus for placements. Some of the top companies were Infosys, SAP, IBM, Godrej, HCl, Wipro, etc. The average salary package offered was around 3 LPA. Most of the students got placed in the IT firms.

It was a worthy experience here.

Placements: The average salary was not disclosed that time, but when I was in college, I heard that it was around 3-3.5 LPA, which was clearly truly less. Very few students were getting placed, and most of the students with more than 90% in academics were preparing for postgraduate programs or GATE. Companies that were mostly visiting here were IT inclined companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, etc.

The college is average with below average placements.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. Only a few students get placed with a salary package of above 3 LPA. Most of the students get placed with a salary package of below 3 LPA. Placements are mostly provided in IT firms. So unless you want to get into the IT industry, I won't suggest this college. If you want to focus only on studies, then join this college.

I am not totally satisfied with placements. Apart from that, everything is very good.

Placements: Placements in our college were average as many students did not get placed. It was the same for our seniors as only half of the students got placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 50,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 12,000 per month. As it was an engineering college, we don't need many internships. There is a placement cell. Companies like Capgemini, TCS, Avantha, DigiCall, etc., visited our college for placements.

The campus and faculty members are good.

Placements: Although the college does not put enough focus on placements, companies like TCS and Wipro visited the campus for placements. The roles are offered in IT sector mostly, like testing, defect fixing and customisation. Some roles were offered in the banking sector as well.

A good engineering college for studies, but one will be disappointed with the placements here.

Placements: Placement opportunities are available only for CSE, IT and ET&T branches. Students of the civil, mechanical and electrical branches need to look for placements on their own. Only one placement drive was conducted for the civil department, and the placements are provided for the students of the civil department through an open exam. There were placement drives organised for the students of the CSE and electronics engineering departments. The average salary package offered was 3-5 LPA. A majority ...

The best college in Chhattisgarh in terms of teaching.

Placements: Placements are good for branches like computer science and information technology but not for electronics, electrical, civil and other branches. The college also organised certain exams like AMCAT which provide jobs to students. Good companies like TCS and many other software companies visit BIT to offer placements. Around 2-3 companies visit for core branches. There is a placement cell in BIT which provides information to the students regarding companies that visit BIT or nearby colleges.

Placements were limited and the faculty members were not good, but the infrastructure was good.

Placements: Placements in our college were limited. Only a few good companies visited the campus, namely TCS. Some other companies also visited, and many students got recruited. Mostly, the placement depends on the capabilities of students. I was a 2014 pass out, and the placements were not up to the mark. But earlier, they were better, and later from the junior batches, many students got placed.

Review of Bhilai Institute of Technology.

Placements: Tata Consultancy Services, Thyrocare, Indian Navy and Cognizant visit the college to offer placements. The placement opportunities are increasing to provide the students with highly payable jobs in the market. Some of the best companies in the market set grounds in BIT. However, not many options are available to explore. The college provides placement training and gives opportunities to the students to explore. I advise exploring the options outside the college to get better job opportunities. T...

There should be an improvement in facilities, faculty members, and placements.

Placements: Placements in the college were not good. A few companies like Analytics Quotient, TCS, etc., visit the campus for placements. The salary package offered was the same as per their standard for any non-IIT/NIT candidate. The placements in the college could have been better. Students should be encouraged and provided the path through which they can opt for the internship in big firms.

BIT, Durg is one of the most underestimated colleges in India.

Placements: TCS is the mass recruiter with hiring around 100 candidates per year. I got selected in Vedanta's Aluminium Business and also in TCS. During our seniors batch, Fluor Daniels came for placements. More or less, every student in mechanical engineering has a job in hand while leaving the college.

Sufficiently good for one's liking.

Placements: Placements were not upto the mark to be honest and mostly the campus visits were from IT Sectors. Wipro, Infosys, TCS and HCL were some of the companies that took majority of students. Vedanta was the only core sector company that took 4 students in the process. The highest salary 7.5 LPA, the lowest 5 LPA, Average : 6.2 LPA.

Bhilai Institute of technology Raipur.

Placements: It brings good companies for students placements and even faculty members are very supportive. All type of training is given to students so that they can easily crack all the levels of campus drives. TPO is also very supportive and always there for your help and advice.

Best in the state with amazing faculty and environment.

Placements: You can't expect much from placements here. Average is around 3.8lakh pa but we have recently got NBA and Naac accreditation which is attracting many companies. GATE is something for which many prepare to secure their future. 2017 was down with placements as compared to early positive statistics.

Faculty members are good but placements have disappointed this very year.

Placements: Average placements and that too for CSE/IT stream. Core branches hardly get placed through college placements. Some companies that come gave 2-3 LPA and job profile isn't anything related to engineering rather have profile of a BPO or sales manager.

Overall, it is a good college if you don't get NIT, Raipur.

Placements: Overall, the placements here are better than other colleges. The companies like TCS, Infosys, ICICI, and various other companies come for placements. There was 28% placement in mechanical in 2016. In our senior batch, around 308 students got placed through the campus placements.

Infrastructure, campus, facilities are good but communication with different faculties is a problem.

Placements: Placement in bit is not a cup of tea. You need to work to get that. What I have seen for my seniors is quite good. Before them I. e. their seniors were not placed. Only selected students who performed very well were called for interview. And further there were selections. Out of which only 1 or 2 were selected. But in current batch more students were placed as compared to them. The highest package was 5.5 lacks and the lowest was 2.5 lacks. Students also do internship from different areas in dif...
