Engineering colleges of West Bengal.

Placements: Previously the college was known for its good faculty and infrastructure. But in our time placement was not so good. Some companies are there with less package. Overall placement was not so good. Some companies demands money at the time of joining. So many protest was there for placement at our time. College authorities take so many steps but that were not fruitful. Most of the students were jobless at the time of leaving the college. Along with that some pool campusing were there at different l...

Satisfied with the 4 years I spent there.

Placements: The college has the worst placement. To shut students mouth, they will come with some non-technical company with the low packages. The college does not conduct their own campusing, and they will send you to pool campus. In 2017, they placed 30% to 40% of the students. There is no future here and if you complain they will say prepare for off-campus.

Best college for learning but not expect placements.

Placements: At recent times Placement record is really bad, college management and placement coordinated is responsible for that. There are only 5% students got placed. In past (3 years ago) there were some tieup with big Companies like Tcs, Larson and Toubro. But in recent days no big Companies have done a single placement.

Satisfied with the faculty members, and our college has good placements up to 2016.

Placements: Our college has average placement records, which I am honestly speaking. All our seniors are preparing for the government jobs. The average placement records are not the scene of our college as it is also the same for all over India because of lack of government. Tenders without IT company is not getting any tender so why should they hire us? Thank you.

If we compare our college with other college, then this college is better in some way.

Placements: Below are the details of the companies and no of placed students from our department who was having a no of students as 44). The no. of students who got selected in TCS is 2 (On Campus), Capegemini - 0 (On Campus), Tech Mahindra - 0 (Pull), Sehrish Softech - 10 (On Campus), etc. Here, an advance of 48,000 with a 1-year bond- was placed, and the students got 5,000 per month for one year, now the company vanishes. This is the overall placement status of our department in Tech Mahindra.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the placement.

Placements: There is a very poor communication of placement. Companies don't want to come, and I don't know why. However, we noticed that day by day, the placement condition is decreasing. In our batch, approximately 10 percent students are placed. In our previous batch, less than 30% students were placed. There is a placement cell.

Dissatisfied because of placements.

Placements: In this college, the percentage of the placements are very low. I have been seen, and the placement department also not effective, but here come many companies from IT sector, and many of my friends get job form this college. The placement in core companies chance is very low, very few core companies visit the campus.

Degradation of a well known college, in Bengal.

Placements: The college is a government-aided private college. Though in the past few years the college gave some good (kind of) placement opportunities, nowadays the quality and the quantity of placement has drastically degraded. The students used to get to know from our seniors that Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Simplex comes to the college for placements, but as our time came, we came to know that a company is going to visit the college whose name we never heard before. Just one on-campusing and 2/3 pool campu...

Absolutely dissatisfied by the placement policies and the recent condition of faculty.

Placements: It is a private engineering college, well known all over Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand for the placements. In the recent years, the placements quality and quantity have degraded a lot, unlike its performance was earlier. Last year only one company visited our college for campusing, that too not up to the mark and rest of them were all pool campusing. It's disappointing to see our college go down to such miserable conditions.

Satisfied with the faculty of my department.good placement in 2016, good laboratories.

Placements: In 2015 the placements were not good, but in the recent days, it is improving. The lowest salary was Rs.16000 per month the highest was Rs.24000, and there is a placement cell in our college, and It is average useful. TCS visits our college regularly every year, and eligible students get selected. The quality of education is given to the students. The faculty members are really good in EEE and ECE department, and they are highly experienced. The hostel accommodation and canteen facility are also...

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement, good infrastructure and facilites.

Placements: The placements of my college are not too good, but some of the students are placed in the best companies like TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Indian Army and many others. In 2014, many students are placed from the campus selection, but after that, placement rate is low. But, in 2016, placement is as much as that in 2014. Overall, I say that the placements are good in my college.

If someone is only concerned about a college having good faculty, then my college is good.

Placements: Placement was not so good. Basically, all companies were from IT sector. Previous year placement was not so good. More or less, 10 to 15 companies visited our college but out of them, 90% companies were vague. The highest salary offered from our college was 3.4 LPA and the average was 7K to 10K monthly. Basically, all companies were Kolkata based and their services were maintaining telecommunication tower.

Poor placement & internship facilities. Poor faculties. Good in infrastructure.

Placements: It had better when we were in the first year. But later placements decreased. In 2015, the previous director TPO members and some other faculty members were forced to resign. Later, a new director and TPO were assigned. In 2016 batch, 9 students got placed in TCS by pool campusing. TPO dealt with a fake company and placed them in that company taking 10K-15K rupees from the students and later left the college. Some students were placed in different companies. No MNCs come in the college nowadays...

Bad placement in 2016, good faculty, average infrastructure and a very good friend circle.

Placements: There were some placements happening but it was a very bad experience for us because most of the companies were fake. The highest salary range was 20,000-25,000, the lowest salary range was 4,000-10,000 and the average salary offered was 10,000-16,000. Not all companies visit the campus. Most of these are pool campus drives in other places. The roles offered were developer, tech support, bpo, assistant engineer. engineering trainee etc. But at the field, it was not correct. Helping nature of BIET makes the student proud to feel a BIETian.

Placements: Placement status was good but not too much (about 60 %) in the academic year 2014-2015 as some students got placements with a lower package. Placement status in the academic year 2010-2011 was outstanding (about 100%). Many of them got placed in more than one company with a higher package. There was a drawback in the academic year 2014-2015 as few students got placed in fake companies.

The faculty members are good. You can learn a lot from them. Hostel facility is also good. Food is also good. Campus life is nothing special hence you can make good friends out there. The places nearby is also good. The place has got scenic beauty. The faculty members are very helpful and cooperative. Placement is not so good. But if u r lucky you may get a good company.

The college is good, but the problem is that due to its distance from Kolkata the faculty doesn't want to live here, and also poor campus placements are another major problem. Its infrastructure is huge, and hostel facilities are good. The faculty is helpful. If the campus placements improve, then it can be a famous school in this region.

Now M.TECH has also been added for the mechanical stream. Friendly atmosphere at the hostel & outskirt scenario makes the hostel amid.
