An overview of BITS, Goa.

Placements: Placements are there in core companies as well as finance, IT and consultancy companies. The average package and placement percentage is most for the CS and electronics streams. There are chemical and mechanical companies that visit the campus in both the semester, but very few students sit for those companies because they prefer further studies. The initial package for core companies is often low because these jobs have long training periods. This information is according to me, being a chemica...

The amazing infrastructure, facilities and most importantly, the faculty and the course curriculum.

Placements: In BITS, the placements are conducted in both the semesters of 4th year. This year, 100% placement was achieved in the CSE branch. And on an average, 80% placement is achieved every year. Almost 30% of the placed students get the package of 10 lpa or more. The highest package achieved in GOA campus was in 2014 when a 4th-year student grabbed 1.44 crores package. The major IT companies such as Amazon, UBER, Microsoft come for recruitment in the first semester. Almost every eligible student is gi...

BITS Goa - A fantastic place to learn and explore yourself

Placements: Placements are very good, especially for Computer Science. Companies like Oracle, ZS Associates, housing.com, are the mass recruiters for Computer Science. Almost the whole batch got placed with 1 or 2 exceptions. The average CTC for CS was above 10 lacs, while for other streams it was around 5-6 lacs.

A good college with good placements.

Placements: The placements were around 100%. The companies which came to the campus were Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Deloitte, KPMG, Amazon, etc. The roles they offered were of a software developer. The package ranged from Rs. 3.25 lpa to Rs. 25 lpa. Internship was compulsory and the college provided assistance for the same. The stipend again ranged from Rs. 10000 to Rs. 40000. In some cases, there was no stipend as well.

Good infrastructure and a great technical culture

Placements: The placement statistics are not officially revealed in public, but in the college, we get to know the inside story that placement is quite good. recently a fellow got ~30 lacs domestic package. Most students are placed at close to 85 percent. Two internships are compulsory for each student but we pay normal college fees for that (the stipend offered for the 2nd internship was nearly 12,000 a month). Many big companies visited the college. Recently, Microsoft and Oracle took many students. The a...

The experience in BITS Pilani Goa is nothing short of magical

Placements: The placement scenario for BE chemical engineering was decent. Quite a few core companies visited the campus. I along with 5 others, got placed in 'Alfa Laval', a Pune-based core chemical company. Other companies like Hindalco, ITC, etc. also visited the campus. The average salary of the core companies was around 4 LPA.

Really good campus life with wholesome personality development.

Placements: The placements at BITS Goa have always been 100% in the 4 years when I was in college. Only students who did not get a job were those who opted out because they opted for higher studies. The different kinds of roles were in software development, IT roles, GETs, consulting roles and few other analytics companies. Internships were part of the curriculum and hence all students were allocated an internship based on their CGPA. The stipend could vary from 10,000 per month to 45,000 too. Placements fo...

Great infrastructure, knowledgeable faculty, internships for all!

Placements: For chemical engineering, quite a few companies such as Shell, Honeywell UOP, Zuari Industries, Alfa Laval, Grasim Industries, and Hindalco visited the campus in my final year. There was the role of a graduate engineer trainee offered by Alfa Laval, which isn't very high paying, but they provide great exposure to the industry. Everyone is provided with an internship from the college (known as the Practice School Programme). In the final year, some students opt to do a thesis instead of the regul...

Brilliant minds; lots of opportunities to learn and develop.

Placements: With regards to placements in core mechanical and chemical sectors, the number of companies visiting is lesser in comparison to those offering coding, consultancy or analytics jobs. Some of the chemical companies that visited were Shell, Honeywell UOP, Alfa Laval, etc. The students who are not able to secure core jobs through placements go for GATE/GRE. BITS has a practice school II program by which the students get the opportunity to do internships during an entire semester of their 4th year o...

Good infrastructure but course curriculum requires improvements.

Placements: With respect to chemical engineering, the placement scenario was pretty bleak. Not many core companies come to recruit students. During the year I sat for placements, a handful of 3-4 chemical companies came to recruit students for a core job. Among these were Shell, who recruited students for roles like process engineer, reservoir engineer, rotating equipment engineer (only for the mechanical stream). It offered the highest salary among the core companies, of Rs. 14 lakh per year. Not far behin...

Placements: Placements weren't very good in my batch and were even worse for the batch senior to mine. Although a lot of students got placed in IT, there were very few core industries visiting the campus and they did not hire as many as expected. Overall, the placements were good only for computer science students. The highest package offered on-campus was 20LPA by Housing.com and the average was around 13LPA. Some companies that visited the campus were Housing, Amazon, Walmart, Barclays, Goldman Sachs, J P...

BITS Goa- A good place for all-round development

Placements: Placements are good for the CS branch as the branch is in a boom. Regarding ENI and EEE, placements vary every year but placements from the year 2014 and later were becoming better every year. TI (Texas Instruments ) and Grey Orange are a few big shot companies visiting the campus now, but the best part is the mandatory internship which let you work in many big firms and a chance to get placed before placement season. Placements for other branches are okay.

Beautiful college with equally talented people and the best part is no reservation in admission.

Placements: The placement scenario in BITSG is pretty good. The average package that students vary depending upon the branch they are pursuing. For example, for CSE, the average package is 17-18 lakhs per annum and for EEE and ENI, it is around 12 LPA. Many major IT companies and core companies come to our campus like Nvidia, Amazon, etc. Also, many consultancies also recruit from this campus.

BITS Goa- good opportunities, good campus.

Placements: You don't really have to worry a lot about the placements when you are in an institute like BITS. You just have to be concerned about your capabilities. The college will provide a lot of opportunities to brush up all your potential. The institute in itself is capable of providing good placements. You have to make yourself capable of competing with the best. You have to prove them in person all of your potential and that you're worth the heavy pay sum.
