BMSCCM Hosts Flair 2022 - An Intra-College Fest
April 15, 2022: FLAIR is a BMS College of Commerce and Management intra-college festival. It is a three-day cultural extravaganza hosted by the college, which offers us with the necessary platform for holistic growth. Flair 2022 was a three-day event with management events on Pictomimography, Kannada Debate, Poster Making Competition, Empresario, 10 Million Minute, Story Live, Tattoo Making, Push-ups and Planks, and Start-up 100 on the first two days.
On the second day of Flair, we had a Technical Debate, Comedy of Errors, Face Painting, Best out of Waste, Business Quiz, Mock Stock, Guess the Song, Fortune Hunters, and Photography, and the final day was held at BMS College of Engineering, which was an overall cultural extravaganza comprised of cultural activities and performances that wowed the audience. The evening's visitors included Rahul Dit-O, MC Bijju, and Shubha Raksha.

April 10, 2022: The Graduation Day held by BMS College of Commerce and Management at the prestigious Chancery Pavilion got off to a great start with an enthusiastic welcome address rendered by the Principal, Dr Pankaj Choudhary, where he warmly welcomed all the Honorable guests present there including the Chief Guest, Prof. Lingaraj Gandhi, Vice Chancellor of Bangalore City University and Guests of Honour of the program: Nitish Sahay Pandey - Global Director of Finance and Accounting, HCL Technologies, Dr. B.S Ragini Narayan - Donor Trustee and Member Secretary of the BMS Educational Trust, Sri. Aviram Sharma – Chairman of BMSCCM and Trustee of BMS Educational Trust, Dr N Nanda - Principal of BMS College for Women and Prof. BK Kumar – Senior Faculty Member at BMS.
Dr Preethi Stanley, Head of the Corporate Communication department, then announced the Merit awards, which were given to deserving students such as Miss Ananya Holla from the BCom batch, who received the 'Sri BM Sreenivasiah Memorial Founders Gold Medal,' and Kshama Narasimhan from the BBA batch. The 'Sri B.S. Narayan Memorial Donor Trustee Silver Medal' was awarded to Miss Sneha V from B. Com and Mr.Sharath M from BBA. Awards were also given to outstanding students who had achieved accomplishment in a variety of professions.
‘The Best Outgoing Student of the Batch’ was awarded to Prajwal D from BCom; ‘Most Valuable Contribution to Sports’ was presented to Sharath M from BBA; ‘Most Valuable Contribution to NSS’ was felicitated to Gokul NL from BCom; ‘Most Valuable Contribution to Cultural Club’ was rewarded to Kushal Ganapa from BBA; ‘Smt. Elizabeth Memorial Award for Executive Communication’ was awarded to Ananya Holla from BCom; ‘Most Valuable Contribution to Finance Club’ was given to Rithik TR from BBA; and, ‘Smt. Anju Devi Memorial Award for Management Accounting’ was presented to Kshama Narasimhan from BBA.
Graduation was thus well underway, with the B. Com batch of 2018-2021 receiving their graduation certificates, followed by the BBA class of 2018-2021 being summoned on stage and receiving their respective certificates.
Mindtrick – 2022 All India Level Chess Tournament
March 22, 2022: BMS College of Commerce and Management VV Puram Bangalore hosted the 'Mindtrick – 2022 All India Level Chess Tournament' in collaboration with the KSCA and Mandya Chess Academy.
Dr Pankaj Choudhary, Principal of BMSCCM, welcomed the Chief Guests, Master Pranav V, India's Youngest International Chess Master, and Arvind Shastri, CEO of KSCA and National 'A' Player. Aviram Sharma, Chairman, BMSCCM, BMSCL, and BMSIT&M; Ravi Venkatesan, Trustee, BMSET; and Madhuri, Organiser, Mandya Chess Academy were also present. There were approximately 258 registrations from various institutions across the country.
The Chess Tournament, which offered a total cash prize of INR 50,000, drew the cream of the crop in young chess talent from around the country. Prajwal V P of St. Claret College in Bengaluru, Karnataka, emerged as the champion after seven gruelling rounds of competition, taking home a trophy and a cash award of INR 25,000. Leelajai Krishna of St. Norbert School Koppa received second place and a trophy as well as a monetary prize of INR 10,000. Swara Lakshmi S Nair of Vagdevi Vilas School, Bharat Krishnan Rajesh of Christ University Bangalore, and Sagar P of PES College of Engineering received third-place rewards of INR 5,000 each.
BMSCCM Organises NSS Camp
March 10, 2022: The NSS Camp was held at Anugondanahalli for seven days from March 10th to March 16th, 2022. The camp events had been attended by 50 volunteers. On the first day, all of the student volunteers were addressed by Shri Govind Gowda, BCU's NSS coordinator. On the second day, kids cleaned the grounds of the government school, and on the third day, they maintained the road adjacent. On the fourth day, they painted the walls of the government school and planted the seedlings. On the fifth day, our volunteers raised awareness in the hamlet about the right to education and the eradication of child marriage. On the sixth day, students conducted a survey of the villagers' social problems. The camp culminated with a valedictory function on the seventh day.
