Established in 2011, Centre for Heritage Management (CHM) is one of its kind institute offering quality education in the field of Heritage Management. It is a part of Ahmedabad University and one of the core members of Asian Academy for Heritage Management (AAHM) Executive Committee founded by UNESCO.
CHM, Ahmedabad has signed MoUs with the University of Valladolid-Spain and University of Ferrara-Italy to promote cooperation towards the joint activities carried out related to Heritage Management. It is also an Associate Member of The EuroIndia Centre. CHM aims to establish Heritage Management as an acknowledged academic discipline.
The Centre for Heritage Management offers Master of Management Studies and Customised Training Programmes. Apart from this, CHM also conducts various workshops, symposia and outreach programmes related to heritage management. The faculty count for this institute is 15, including seven adjunct faculty members.
The Institute organised International Field School on Heritage Studies and Management in 2019 with the theme Craft, Culture and Community. To help students understand the subject in a better way, Centre for Heritage Management has developed a Heritage Learning Lab.

Centre for Heritage Management MMS admission cycle begins in January every year. Interested candidates can apply for this course online by visiting the official website. Eligible candidates need to appear for Heritage Awareness Survey and Preparedness Test and the Personal Interview (PI) round conducted by Ahmedabad University. Centre for Heritage Management Scholarships
The Institute provides Need-based Scholarship and Merit-based Scholarship. The detailed information regarding CHM scholarships are mentioned below:
Need-based Scholarship
Under this scholarship scheme, students can get up to 100 per cent tuition fee waiver. Candidates applying for this scholarship should have a family income of less than Rs 8 LPA. The scholarship is renewed every year and students with 2 or above CGPA can only re-apply for this scholarship.
Merit-based Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to the meritorious students who applied for UG or PG courses directly through Ahmedabad University admission portal.
Students, who got admission to BTech programme through Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) are entitled to get full tuition fee waiver. Top 500 candidates (as per the merit list prepared by ACPC) can apply for this scholarship. The amount to be offered as scholarship is Rs 1 lakh. This scholarship is renewed every year and students with 3.5 or above CGPA can only re-apply for this scholarship.
