Is Chaitanya Engineering College good for B.E./B.Tech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the college's strengths and weaknesses:

    Strengths:
    * Good placements: Around 70-80% of students get placed, with top companies like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra offering salaries ranging from INR2-INR5 Lakhs per annum.
    * Supportive faculty: Some faculty members are helpful and knowledgeable, willing to assist students beyond regular classes.
    * Infrastructure: The college has a decent infrastructure, with modern classrooms, labs, and a library.
    * Campus life: The college has a peaceful atmosphere, with plenty of greenery, and hosts annual events and festivals.

    Weaknesses:
    * Limited faculty: Some departments lack sufficient faculty members, which can affect teaching quality and availability of guidance.
    * Poor teaching quality: Not all faculty members are well-educated or enthusiastic, making it challenging for students to learn effectively.
    * Limited internship opportunities: Few companies visit the college for internships, limiting opportunities for hands-on experience.
    * Placement difficulties for certain departments: Departments like Civil and Mechanical struggle to find placements, making it harder for students to secure jobs.
    * Unhygienic hostel conditions: Some students report poor maintenance and cleanliness standards in the hostel.

Overall Verdict: While Chaitanya Engineering College has its strengths, particularly in terms of placements, it falls short in areas like faculty quality, internship opportunities, and hostel conditions. Prospective students should carefully weigh these factors when considering admissions.

We never felt like it's College, It's our home.
Placements: Around 45% of students secured placements in various companies with packages ranging from 3 to 5 Lacs per annum. Companies like Accenture in Mumbai recruited students. All students had internship opportunities, with some opting for government internships.
Infrastructure: Our college offers excellent facilities, including machines, project workstations, a well-stocked library, purified drinking water, a VIP canteen, and medical services. The hostel and mess are of high quality, and we have sports facilities like volleyball, cricket grounds, and a shuttle court. The infrastructure in the mechanical branch is particularly noteworthy, with the latest equipment available.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and supportive, encouraging us to achieve great things. The exams are manageable, and about 83% of students passed in 2024. The curriculum is relevant, and many students received industrial training at companies like Jindal Stainless Steel and steel plants, preparing them for industry roles.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty but the college has good atmosphere and facilities.
Placements: Basically our college has only a few placements that will not come yearly but are okay. The highest package offered is around 5 Lacs per annum. The lowest package is 3 Lacs per annum. We got top companies like Infosys, Tech Mahendra, etc. visiting for recruitments. The students from ECE department get hardware based jobs.
Infrastructure: My course is electronics and communication engineering which is quite good. The facilities are good having near classrooms. The labs are also good but some equipments are not available to observe things for practicals. We have a college canteen where the taste of the food is quite good. The college doesn't provide us the Wi-Fi password.
Faculty: The teaching quality is not so bad but some of the faculty members are the worst, they don't even know the syllabus and teach wrong syllabus before the exams, we have faced that. They don't teach pure subjects but just for passing for the semesters. The passing percentage is I think around 60%.
Other: This course is better after Computer Science Engineering. This course has also given effective engineers to the society. We had a college fest every year called Utsav. We enjoyed a lot while dancing and singing together. The college provides tuitions charging a fee of 35k for the entire year.

    Beautiful college with nice sceneries.
Placements: During my time at college, only a small number of students were selected in campus interviews, to be honest. However, that was a decade ago, and since then, the college may have undergone development and is now attracting more companies for campus placements. It is possible that if the students have a percentage higher than 60%, campus placements will occur regularly.
Infrastructure: The absence of a hostel was notable during my time; however, three years ago, the introduction of a hostel facility brought about strict monitoring through CCTV equipment. The labs and library were satisfactory, although not exceptional, while the classrooms lacked the appeal of a higher education institution, resembling more of a school setting.
Faculty: The teachers possessed the necessary qualifications and expertise. However, whether a student becomes industry-ready or not largely depends on their own interests. It is advisable for students to actively engage with the faculty by asking more questions. During my time, we used to find joy in seeking clarification from the professors who were highly qualified.
Other: The college atmosphere was nice. It was surrounded by mango trees, a beautiful garden, and a nice playground.

    Absolutely amazing infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: In this college, companies like TCS and Infosys come and give the students opportunities to secure their jobs. The highest package, to my knowledge, is 12 lakhs per annum. The average package lies between 2 and 4 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students placed depends on their own strengths and weaknesses.
Infrastructure: This college has good infrastructure, and all the facilities are available for students. The quality of the facilities in your hostel depends on the fee you are paying. This college provides us with both non-AC and AC rooms. The food available in the mess is good.
Faculty: The faculty of this college is well-experienced, like 5 to 10 years. The faculty helps the students study well. In a year, we have two semester exams, and each semester has two midterm exams. The difficulty of the semester exam depends on how the students are preparing for it.
Other: The course (AI&this) has a huge scope for the upcoming future. The course mainly deals with data-driven sporting techniques.

    Obviously satisfied, but not completely.
Placements: There are very few placements, like fewer than 100, so according to placements, I will not recommend this college at all. But the infrastructure of the college is not bad; it is good and better. A vast place is there for playing various games like cricket, basketball, kabaddi, etc. And there is an open auditorium also available on the college campus, and the biggest positive is that we can get more time to prepare for competitive exams.
Infrastructure: Labs are better compared to other colleges. The infrastructure is not bad! And food is also not bad; the quality of food is good, but the quantity is less. Labs and classrooms are quite good, and the infrastructure also good; there are around 5 blocks on the college campus!
Faculty: The faculty is good, and pass percentages are average. The way of teaching is okay, but a shortage of faculty was there! The faculty shortage is there, but the way of teaching is better. Exams conducted in exams are better than at other colleges, and the college faculty was very helpful.
Other: B.Tech was chosen by myself only, and we can get 4 years to know who I am. And capable of! "When a person has a doctorate degree, he will become a doctor. When a person has a law degree, he will become a lawyer. When a person has an MBA degree, he will become an entrepreneur or businessman. But. When a person has an engineering degree, he will become anything in the competitive world!

This college has good natural surroundings.
Placements: I think 45 percent of the students go to placements. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 1.5 LPA. The top MNC companies like TATA, WIPRO, and some other companies, etc., recruit from here. The top role of all courses in our college is Computer Science Engineering.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi in the college hostel. Hostel rooms and food are good. There is a big playground, and one cricket practice net and one basketball court are available. The hostel food is good. Medical services are somewhat available. The surroundings of this college are good.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are good. They are knowledgeable and teach in an easy-to-understand way. There are mid-exams every month, and the semester exams also take place in our college. The teachers are very helpful in that regard.
Other: It is a trending course, so I joined that course. There are some fests in our college.
