Review of Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran.
Placements: The placement percentage of our course is about 80%. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA and the lowest salary package offered ranges from 3-4 LPA for software engineer roles in on-campus placements. More than 100 companies visit the college to hire students for more than 20 roles. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good although it could be a bit better. The campus area is small and not too large. Overall, the experience is good in labs. Buildings interior and grounds are good. The hostel's interior is good and spacious. In rooms, the furniture is good, but the mess food should be better than it is now.
Faculty: Teachers' knowledge is good. The course curriculum is provided by the university and the academic calendar is provided beforehand. It is followed strictly. The number of working days, the number of lectures, and the number of holidays are all followed according to the academic calendar. Semester exams are regularly with 2-mid semester exams and one final exam as they are held at regular intervals across all semesters.

The college is absolutely great to get a good placement.
Placements: Placements in our college are very good. Approximately 72.80% of students are placed in our college. The highest package offered by college is 54 LPA, and the lowest average package is approximately 25 lacs. The top recruiting companies of our college are Amazon and Flipkart, and approximately 50% of students get internships from our college itself. The most common course offered in our college is software engineering.
Infrastructure: The college has 11 blocks, and in each block there are approximately 7 floors, and every floor has three labs, which have approximately 25 to 30 computer systems. In each lab, every block has one library and one canteen in it. There are 4 to 5 hostels of boys and one hostel of girls and two-seater, three-seater, and four-seater old facilities are available in hostel rooms. There are also two medical schools in our college and food is very good in the mess. The menu is not very repetitive.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive of students; they encourage students to participate in different events. The teaching standards are very high in our college; the course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industrial-ready. By giving them constant GD sessions as well as case studies and verbal training, MST is easy as compared to the semester exams. The semester exams are also not very tough as compared to university exams.

Good faculty very helpful bad food equipment is not that good no focus on sports .
Placements: 1.80% STUDENTS GET PLACED EVERY YEAR. 2. The lowest PAKAGE:3.5 Lacs 3. The highest PAKAGE:45.5L 4. INTERNSHIPS ARE PROVIDED. 5. BUT THE STUDENTS don't PAY MUCH ATTENTION. 6.30-40% STUDENTS GET INTERSHIPS 7. TCS INFOSYS IBM ARE THE MAIN COMPANIES THAT RECRUIT FROM CGC LANDRAN.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not good classroom are satisfactory library is okay books are available most of time except mathematics. Food is not good in canteens and mess, sports equipment is very less only a small amount of people can play indoor games at a time. Medical facilities are also satisfactory.
Faculty: Staff is very helpful and qualified. Teaching methods are good. Quality of teaching is good they pay individual attention on students. The semester exams are not that hard almost all thr students get passed. Me personally it does not make students industry ready!
Other: I choose this because I was into computer. I think more focus should be on the student skills instead of teaching them irrelevant subjects no scholarships crowd is fine we have events time to time.

Placements were really low in the last two years (2023-2024), but this time (2025) it's satisfactory
Placements: 70% of students were placed. Conditions will be more good from this year and more companies are expected to visit the college for internships and placements. The highest was 45 Lacs, the lowest was 3 Lacs, and the average is 4-5 Lacs. Skillcart, etc. are two recruiting companies. 60-80% got internships. The top role offered is web developer.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good in buildings of our college. Classrooms are well managed, as well as we can visit the library in free lectures or any other time. In hostel, we are provided with Wi-Fi facilities, which are available 24/7. Food is overall good compared to other colleges near me. Medical facilities are provided, and we can play sports and games as well.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful and we can reach them anytime if we have any type of queries, and they have high knowledge. Teaching quality is overall good. Yes, obviously this course makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are of intermediate level. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in computer science. The best thing that I've found is that our teachers are very friendly. Class times can be improved by decreasing the classes per day. Events and fests generally happen many times a month. Campus crowd is good. Surroundings are excellent. Scholarships are provided to the eligible students as well. Extracurricular activities are also organized.

B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2026

I am absolutely satisfied with our college in placements, events, etc.
Placements: Placement in electronics and communication is very bad; if we SEE placement % of electronics, it is around 30% There are fewer companies for ECE; they prefer CU students in placements for placed first. I had chosen non-TTP because there are not placements for ECE students .
Infrastructure: The hostel was below average, with cleanliness and maintenance needing significant improvement and hostel food is not good. We eat that food just to live. Many times dead animals and insects were found in food but life at the hostel is memorable just because of friends.
Faculty: A semester is 3-4 months. In 3-4 months they conduct end-semester exams. We did not get much time to study the academics so we did not maintain our SGPA for placements. The faculty is good; not all but many of them are good in nature so we attend college just because of that.
Other: Only 1 event is worth it, and that is Parivartan, which is our college's biggest event .

Welcome to CGC Landran. It is a good college.
Placements: Placements are not too good but averagely satisfied. You will have to compete with CU and Jhanjheri College of Chandigarh university to sit on the placement program, but you will get many chances, like events are conducted to boost your resume and that is nice.
Infrastructure: The course is overall good but some of the teachers are egoistic. If you complain about their profession to the head, they will behave rudely. You will get satisfied food in the mess of the campus. Events are done at a good level. In sports, you will find politics among seniors. Classrooms are average and hostels are worst because of food and you will face many problems because of the 75% compulsory attendance.
Faculty: Faculty are good. Some of the teachers are like friends, but some are like devils. You will have to be their favorite student to get marks on assignments. They will teach you only that which will come in exams, but as I told you, some of the teachers are very nice. They teach you life lessons too.
Other: Very nice
