Is B.E./B.Tech at Chartered Institute Of Technology (CIT) Worth the Investment?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Placements:
* Around 50-60% of students get placed annually.
* the highest package: INR20 LPA, the lowest package: INR1 LPA (some students received lower packages).
* Top recruiting companies: Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, IBM, and Red Hat.
* Average salary package: Not explicitly mentioned, but reportedly ranging from INR1 LPA to INR12,000 per month.

Faculty and Course Curriculum:
* Faculty members are generally helpful and knowledgeable.
* Course curriculum is decent, but lacks relevance to the industry.
* Some departments, such as Electrical Engineering, have highly qualified faculty members.

Infrastructure and Facilities:
* Good infrastructure, including WiFi-enabled hostels and classrooms.
* Library has a limited number of books, but overall provides essential resources.
* Labs are decently equipped, although some may require updates.
* Cleanliness and maintenance of facilities vary across departments.

Additional Insights:
* Around 20% of students participate in campus placements.
* Some students secure internships at prominent companies.
* College events, such as Lakshya (sports) and Tarunya (cultural), promote extracurricular engagement.

Considering these factors, CIT seems to offer a decent educational experience, albeit with some areas for improvement. While the placement record is moderate, the institution appears to prioritize faculty quality and maintains acceptable infrastructure standards. Ultimately, whether CIT is "worth the investment" depends on individual priorities and expectations.

Here are key recommendations for prospective students:

* Research the current market trends and demand for graduates in various fields before choosing a course.
* Evaluate the faculty-student ratio and assess the teaching quality in your desired department.
* Consider the internship opportunities and potential collaborations with industries.
* Assess the hostel facilities and overall living conditions, especially for those who plan to stay on-campus.

By carefully weighing these factors, students can make informed decisions about investing in their education at CIT.

Our college has a really good infrastructure , faculties are helpful, placements are very good.
Placements: I am in 2nd year so no one is placed yet. Highest package offered in the college is INR 20 LPA and the lowest package is INR 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, Microsoft, Infosys etc. We have good facilities of all the things required. Our seniors get placed in different companies and not only for computer Science but every branch has a scope.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good enough. WIFI is available for all the departments i.e. electrical, computer department etc. White boards are available, projectors are also installed. Food quality in hostel is good, they serve freshly prepared food and occasionally all the students get free lunch too.
Faculty: For sure teachers are very helpful, we can contact them whenever we want to ask anything or need anything. Teaching quality is awesome, every teacher pays attention to every child. The way they sharpen our mind make us industry ready and the knowledge they provide is more than enough to crack any exam. Basically they build logical and practical knowledge. Chartered institute of technology is affiliated to Bikaner technical which is a government university, the semester exams are average if you study hard . Pass percentage for new scheme in semester paper is 23 marks out of 70 and 30 marks is given from the college itself.
Other: Basically I did not have Maths in class 12th, I am a Biology student but I was more interested in computer Science. The new rule of AICTE says that Biology students can also pursue B.Tech. So this was the reason I chose B.Tech in computer Science. Everything about the course is just perfect.

Really very good infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 20% students get job in campus placement. Computer science department is a very successful department in our college. Red hat company, just dial and many more come here for placements. Almost all the students get internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities in our college are very good. Infrastructure is also very nice. Wi-Fi speed is very good. Classroom size is very good. Hostel is very nice. The quality of the mess food is very good. All types of sports are played in our college.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, very knowledgeable, and are very helpful. The course curriculum makes the students, industry ready. Semester exams are very good. Almost all the students get the degree.
Other: I have chose this course, because this course is trending now. The best thing of the course is that, all the students can get their dream job in the 4th year.

Overall, it was an okay college. Average facilities, placements and infrastructure were okay.
Placements: I think only 50 percent of the students got placed and the average salary package was around 3 lacs. Tech Mahindra was the major recruiter. Mayur Owens was also there. And other companies in our surroundings. I think after the course, most of the students got internships and jobs in major cities. And others choose to prepare for government jobs. Our main role was to deal with mechanical engineering streams.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was there, and the library was there, though not enough books were there. Still, we can say okay. The classrooms were nice, like the seminar hall. It was a nice experience to study there. Mess was there and everyone said that the food was good. Sports grounds like basketball, volleyball, a big playground, and cricket were there.
Faculty: In the first year, there were nice facilities but afterwards, there were not enough facilities. Most of them were postgraduates. And some were undergrads. Yes, labs were there but the course doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams were okay; they were not quite difficult to crack and we could easily study and get a pass.
Other: I like the stream of mechanical engineering and there were limited colleges in our surroundings so I went for this one. There were programs like Tarunya and Lakshya, the cultural and sports fests, in our college as well.

It is a below-average college, and I do not suggest students join this college.
Placements: Our college has bad placements. Only a few companies visit the college for the namesake. In the previous year, companies visited the college, but they did not provide placements.
Infrastructure: Librarian is good. Only a few books are available in the library. There has been a bad shortage of water many times. Labs should be reviewed. It should do many works. New paint had to be done. Overall, it is below average. It does have much huge campus. It is spread over only half acres, I think.
Faculty: Not all teachers are available here. Many times teachers are not able to complete the syllabus, or they are not interested in completing the syllabus, or neither students take them seriously. From time to time, the salary is not provided to them.

Rules and regulations are the foundation of our college.
Placements: Nearly 50 to 60% of students from our college got placed. The college has a great infrastructure with different labs for practicals, and we also conduct social activities under the college administration. The college environment is really peaceful.
Infrastructure: The college consists of great infrastructure. The food provided in the mess and canteen is hygienic, and the quality is good. All-time Wi-Fi with a minimum speed of 1MB is available. The library has many different books.
Faculty: The faculty members are really helpful and well qualified. Nearly 50-60% of students from our college got placed.
Other: Lakshya is our sports event, and Tarunya is the cultural event held in our college.

It provides good infrastructure, but it needs improvement.
Placements: About 62 students in our course got placed. At our time, only BPO companies visited our campus for placements, so I didn't attend any interviews. Some of my friends attended though, and they got a salary package of 2 LPA. Right now, only 3-4% of the students are working in core companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Wi-Fi facility is not that good, sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not work. Classrooms are well-maintained, and the library is available. Labs are properly equipped. The hostel is not as huge as it should be, but it has all the facilities like proper rooms, proper cleaning, etc. The hostel is Wi-Fi enabled.
Faculty: I don't know about the other branches, but in the electrical branch, all the faculty members were qualified. They had good command over their respective subjects. Some teachers were from NITs. Our branch also provided us with time for GATE preparation.
Other: I have chosen this course because this course is fascinating because you get to know about how the technology works, whether it is electrical, mechanical or computer science branch. You look at things differently from how you used to see them. I wish the college should provide more practical knowledge.
