On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at CIET with 75 percentile in TNEA?

A:

With 75 percentile, you can get some normal courses at CIET. High cut-offs are frequently found in popular fields like computer Science and electronics and communication compared to less popular ones. Lower cut-off scores apply to categories such as SC, ST, and OBC since seats are reserved for them. The total applicant pool and their respective test results may have an impact on the cut-off scores. A factor that also matters is the quantity of seats that CIET has available in your selected branch.

Visit CIET directly to see the cut-off scores for TNEA candidates in your desired branch. Visit the TNEA and CIET websites to obtain this information. Your chances are favourable if your score is higher than or almost as high as the previous year's cutoff for the branch you want.

Q:   Can I get into CIET with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Typically, a 12th standard qualification with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) is required to be eligible for courses like computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering at CIET. But as of right now, the precise admission cutoff percentage is not disclosed. The amount of applications and the candidates' overall performance are only two examples of the many variables that might cause the cutoff percentages to change from year to year.

Consequently, even if you might be eligible for consideration with a 70% class 12 score, your final admission status will rely on the particular cutoff for the year you're applying. The most precise and current information on entrance requirements and cutoff percentages can be found by often visiting the official CIET website.

Q:   Can I get admission in CIET for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Your performance on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) exam is the main criteria for admission to CIET's B.Tech programmes. The qualifying criteria are your Class 12th scores; a minimum score of 60% is required. The TNEA exam results you take have a lot more weight in the admissions process. Even with a 60% in class 12, a strong TNEA score can greatly increase your chances of getting into CIET.

Within CIET, there is a significant variation in the cut-off scores for various branches and classifications (open, SC, ST, etc.). Less well-liked fields may have lower cut-offs, whereas popular fields like computer Science frequently have higher cut-offs. Furthermore, the cutoffs for reserved category seats are lower than those for open category seats.

Review of Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: I did not get placed. Around 70% of students from the previous batch got placed in very good companies like Google, etc. The highest salary package offered is around 45 LPA - 50 LPA. Placements are very good according to the admission criteria.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Every department has its own building. There is a proper building where all top food outlets like Domino's Pizza, Lapinoz Pizza, Barista, Subways, etc. I am not a hosteller, but I have heard that hostels are good.
Faculty: The course curriculum is good and updated with current industry standards for placements and post-placement support. Teachers are trainers who have worked in the industry for a long time and are experts in those subjects.

The college provides great placements and good infrastructure.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Amazon, and Infosys. Almost 78% of students got placed. Around 65% of students got internships. Top roles offered are web developer, software developer, and database administrator.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The college is spread over 25 acres of land. There are separate blocks for every branch. Labs are well-equipped. High-speed Wi-Fi is available. The library is good. All books are available. Hostel facilities are good. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. Our college has a canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. They are well-qualified and experienced. They have a lot of knowledge. The teaching quality is good. They clarify our doubts. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 65%.

Students who are well focused and hardworking, can gain a good package from campus.
Placements: Talking about the percentage of students placed, then it's a very small amount. Around 40% of students are there who are getting placement. Rest are studying and preparing. The highest package I heard was 19 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average is like 5 to 6 LPA. Schneider, TechMahindra, and Microsoft are some of the major companies. For internships, around 40 to 50% of students got selected. Roles offered are full-stack developer, software developer, and data analyst. Now a days, ML engineers are also in demand. But there's not any hiring for it right now.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good as it is a private university. Fee is also a bit high There are well-maintained labs, high-speed internet on the whole campus, and separate libraries for each department. Talking about hostels and mess, then it's a problem for some of the students. 70% are happy, but 30% say it's not good. The food is fixed for the whole week. And also, they don't get the good taste of it. Hostel rooms are very small, and a real problem occurs in summers when coolers don't work properly.
Faculty: Curriculum is well planned but not well executed. There are a handful of teachers who are willing to support and work hard for their students. The majority of them just pass the time, do the formalities, and run. Also, teaching is an art that many of our faculty members should need to learn. Semester exams are not very difficult. Coding exams might give some difficulties. A student needs to earn 40% per subject to pass it for a semester. Courses don't make students well prepared for industries, but their self-education and hard work do.
Other: I have chosen this course due to the increasing demand of the software and AI/ML industries. Also, companies offer a good package if the student is capable of these skills, like AI engineer, web developer, data analyst, and so on. The college should offer more teacher talks and industry visits to students. They should also hire good teachers who actually have the talent to teach. Talking about events and functions, Chitkara offers a number of events for students to enjoy, so that's good.

Chitkara is not good at studies.
Placements: Around 25% of students got placed in Chitkara. Placement is a big scam. They scam on CTC and in-hand salary. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA for BCA graduates. They provide internships in call centers and very low profile jobs roles are offered like BDE, junior software developer, etc. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Deloite.
Infrastructure: Colleges are well-constructed at the place where outside visits are more. Classrooms do not have air conditioners. Hostels are very costly and not clean. Chitkara is like a school. Labs are fewer and students are more.
Faculty: The teaching quality is not good. Subjects are not good and don't have value in the industry. Professors just take salaries. They don't care about the syllabus. They just need files. They don't teach practical subjects. Semester exams are good without cheating. Exams are conducted in a well environment.
Other: I chose BCA after seeing the Chitkara advertisement online, but they spread misleading information about college life and studies. It is like a school. Events are good. Chitkara keeps on conducting events frequently. BCA in Chitkara would be improved by adding practical subjects rather than theory and hiring good quality staff.

Placements and teaching quality can be better.
Placements: Not yet placed but got from seniors having a genuine placement rate, and yes, 80% get placed with an average of 7-8 LPA. Further, many go for higher studies, and companies acquire students based on their skill set and test grounds! Above 7.5 CGPA students are more preferred.
Infrastructure: Yes, the hostels have good infrastructure and all basic facilities. Mess food is a little bad, but overall it's fine. The college infrastructure is above average with a big library, sports grounds, and student Wi-Fi. What you can get is good labs.
Faculty: Exams are all online on laptops, mostly for engineering, and faculty is all doctorate. But still, there are a few with whom you need to cooperate, and you need to have your own basics clear by yourself. Overall, teaching quality is good, considering me.

Best college for engineering .
Placements: Top recruiting companies are Wipro, Concentrix, and L and T Infotech. These companies offer an average package of 5 LPA. In the last session, only 15 students were placed in our course. Internships are provided by the college after the completion of the third year. Mostly junior SDE roles are offered.
Infrastructure: College is beautiful and lush green. Smart boards are available in all rooms and labs are fully equipped. Hostels are available for both boys and girls separately. All kinds of rooms are available: single, double, etc. Sports facilities are available in Campus.
Faculty: The course is comprehensive and provides practical knowledge in all subjects. Teachers are also supportive and collaborative. The teaching quality in our course is really good. Industrial visits are also organised regularly. In our course, exams are difficult, and we have to study a lot to score well.
Other: Campus is well connected to main road.
