On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at CIET with 75 percentile in TNEA?

A:

With 75 percentile, you can get some normal courses at CIET. High cut-offs are frequently found in popular fields like computer Science and electronics and communication compared to less popular ones. Lower cut-off scores apply to categories such as SC, ST, and OBC since seats are reserved for them. The total applicant pool and their respective test results may have an impact on the cut-off scores. A factor that also matters is the quantity of seats that CIET has available in your selected branch.

Visit CIET directly to see the cut-off scores for TNEA candidates in your desired branch. Visit the TNEA and CIET websites to obtain this information. Your chances are favourable if your score is higher than or almost as high as the previous year's cutoff for the branch you want.

Q:   Can I get into CIET with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Typically, a 12th standard qualification with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) is required to be eligible for courses like computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering at CIET. But as of right now, the precise admission cutoff percentage is not disclosed. The amount of applications and the candidates' overall performance are only two examples of the many variables that might cause the cutoff percentages to change from year to year.

Consequently, even if you might be eligible for consideration with a 70% class 12 score, your final admission status will rely on the particular cutoff for the year you're applying. The most precise and current information on entrance requirements and cutoff percentages can be found by often visiting the official CIET website.

Q:   Can I get admission in CIET for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Your performance on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) exam is the main criteria for admission to CIET's B.Tech programmes. The qualifying criteria are your Class 12th scores; a minimum score of 60% is required. The TNEA exam results you take have a lot more weight in the admissions process. Even with a 60% in class 12, a strong TNEA score can greatly increase your chances of getting into CIET.

Within CIET, there is a significant variation in the cut-off scores for various branches and classifications (open, SC, ST, etc.). Less well-liked fields may have lower cut-offs, whereas popular fields like computer Science frequently have higher cut-offs. Furthermore, the cutoffs for reserved category seats are lower than those for open category seats.

Average faculty, average package, good infrastructure.
Placements: I'm currently pursuing Computer Science Engineering from Chitkara University, Rajpura, Punjab. It's my second semester and so far I feel things are going okay. Classes have an average of 80 students. As of my interactions with the seniors, they've told that the highest package this year was 43 Lacs per annum and the median package being something around 8 LPA, which according to me is pretty average. An average of 60% students have got internships so far.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, I feel. Wi-Fi facility is provided in the whole campus, even in hostels. The food quality I can say is decent but lacks variety. If you get too bored, you can go out and eat at Square1, it's good but I feel it's very pricey. As a student, everybody is on a limited budget, and if you want to eat out, it gets very expensive. Also, the medical facility isn't that great. We've a 24x7 ambulance for emergencies, but other than that the facility is very poor.
Faculty: The teachers were average; some were good at teaching, some were not. I would say that everybody was qualified enough and had the knowledge, but not everybody had the teaching skills. The course curriculum was relevant; they taught us all the basic subjects that were necessary to build the basic concepts of computer. The semester exams were average, and the passing percentage is 40% in every subject.
Other: I chose Computer Science because I felt in the upcoming time this would be the most useful and I could earn a good living if I had some coding skills. The things I would like to improve about my course would be adding some more practical experience than just teaching theory, helping students enhance their soft skills, promoting healthy competition by organizing coding competitions, and also I would want them to ease up a little on the attendance criteria. It gets pretty hectic managing the attendance, academics, extracurriculars, and your self-time.

My College Review - College Experience.
Placements: The placements are very good. Various top MNC's, including CISCO, INFOSYS, Wipro, L & T Technologies, Tech Mahindra, TCS, and more. There are various internship opportunities available in our college. From the 6th semester, students are eligible for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very amazing. Various facilities are available, like modern labs. Faculty are very supportive. Medical facilities are also available. Hostels are neat and clean, and meals are average. Green, lush campus. Classrooms are well-maintained.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good; they are very much qualified as all are Ph.D. scholars. The curriculum is very relevant and good for the students. There are a total of four exams, out of which three are sessional tests (I, II, III) and one end term. The difficulty level of the exams is medium.
Other: Yes, there are scholarship opportunities available in our college. Various fests also take place in our college. Chandigarh is only a 30 to 45 km drive away from our university. There are various brands available on our campus for parties and enjoyment.

Infrastructure: Wifi is avalable but not working Labs are small Computers are not working Library is very messy Class room are so small ac's are not working Hostel food is average Hostel guards are to rude Mess food is worst Only infra structure in good in this campus
Faculty: Teachers are qualifies but not helpful for students Poor teaching quality Course curriculum is not relevant in my opinion it is not make the student industry ready Msts are easy but the final papers are very tough Pass percentage is 40-45% but it is not sufficient
Other: Nothing is best in this course No fest for day scholars

From Freshmen to Future: Navigating the College Odyssey.
Placements: Placements are very decent of my college BE CSE programme. The highest package was around 50 LPA, I guess, and the lowest is around 3-4 LPA. Around 95% of the students get placed for internships in good companies, not the top ones but decent, and some companies are good.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided by our college include Wi-Fi, labs, larger classrooms, and a library. The library of our college is slightly small but has a good amount of different types of books. We have games, good balconies, and the cleanliness is really good in our hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and are very interactive with the students. The teachers are really good and understandable, so the teaching quality is obviously better. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and it makes the students ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because I love coding and I wish to do much better in this field.

A Drive into My University.
Placements: Placements are very decent for my college BE CSE programme. About 60% placed this year, which is very good. The highest package is around 45 LPA and the average package is 9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, CISCO, and many more with the average package of 8-9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very amazing compared to neighboring colleges like CU. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus, library, and every single classroom. Facilities of the hostel are totally satisfying with its feel, and every year it increases by 4k, which is not good in my opinion.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful if you behave properly with them. Most of the teachers have at least 10 years of experience and their teaching method is excellent and mostly practical-based. Semester exams are not that hard; doable if you study just 1 week before the exam.
Other: I love coding, that’s why I chose this course.

Placements are good here in comparison to other private colleges .
Placements: Our college provides good placements every year. Many big companies recruit from our college regularly, including MNCs. Companies take a written test and interview before selecting the students. Internships are also provided by the college. So placements are good in our course, with an average package of 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are affordable, and all facilities are available like laundry, gyms, etc. Wi-Fi is available for students and faculty members. Classrooms are fully ventilated. The overall infrastructure of our course is good. Food of mess is also good, according to me. Sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Our course is well designed and it gives practical knowledge about industry. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. They are available to help anytime and they support students. Exams are not very difficult. Mentors are also very good in our course. Overall, the teaching quality is good.
Other: The campus is surrounded by beautiful villages.
