On Fees and Eligibility

Q:   Can I get B.Tech at CIET with 75 percentile in TNEA?

A:

With 75 percentile, you can get some normal courses at CIET. High cut-offs are frequently found in popular fields like computer Science and electronics and communication compared to less popular ones. Lower cut-off scores apply to categories such as SC, ST, and OBC since seats are reserved for them. The total applicant pool and their respective test results may have an impact on the cut-off scores. A factor that also matters is the quantity of seats that CIET has available in your selected branch.

Visit CIET directly to see the cut-off scores for TNEA candidates in your desired branch. Visit the TNEA and CIET websites to obtain this information. Your chances are favourable if your score is higher than or almost as high as the previous year's cutoff for the branch you want.

Q:   Can I get into CIET with 70% in class 12th?

A:

Typically, a 12th standard qualification with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) is required to be eligible for courses like computer science, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering at CIET. But as of right now, the precise admission cutoff percentage is not disclosed. The amount of applications and the candidates' overall performance are only two examples of the many variables that might cause the cutoff percentages to change from year to year.

Consequently, even if you might be eligible for consideration with a 70% class 12 score, your final admission status will rely on the particular cutoff for the year you're applying. The most precise and current information on entrance requirements and cutoff percentages can be found by often visiting the official CIET website.

Q:   Can I get admission in CIET for B.Tech with 60% in Class 12th?

A:

Your performance on the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) exam is the main criteria for admission to CIET's B.Tech programmes. The qualifying criteria are your Class 12th scores; a minimum score of 60% is required. The TNEA exam results you take have a lot more weight in the admissions process. Even with a 60% in class 12, a strong TNEA score can greatly increase your chances of getting into CIET.

Within CIET, there is a significant variation in the cut-off scores for various branches and classifications (open, SC, ST, etc.). Less well-liked fields may have lower cut-offs, whereas popular fields like computer Science frequently have higher cut-offs. Furthermore, the cutoffs for reserved category seats are lower than those for open category seats.

Review of Chitkara University Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: I did not get placed. Around 70% of students from the previous batch got placed in very good companies like Google, etc. The highest salary package offered is around 45 LPA - 50 LPA. Placements are very good according to the admission criteria.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. Every department has its own building. There is a proper building where all top food outlets like Domino's Pizza, Lapinoz Pizza, Barista, Subways, etc. I am not a hosteller, but I have heard that hostels are good.
Faculty: The course curriculum is good and updated with current industry standards for placements and post-placement support. Teachers are trainers who have worked in the industry for a long time and are experts in those subjects.

Chitkara University Detailed Review.
Placements: Placement is very good. There is almost 100% placement, and many companies visit for intern+FTE as well as FTE roles. Many students have successfully landed internships at prestigious organizations like Microsoft, JP Morgan, ServiceNow, both through on-campus and off-campus recruitment.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is very good compared to its competitors. Classes are equipped with projectors, air conditioners, and all necessary facilities like Wi-Fi. Water coolers can be found everywhere. The eating area, Square One, is a 3-floor building with various outlets like Domino's, Subway, LaPinoz, Venky's, Barista, and many more. Hostels are well maintained with all necessary equipment, and food in the mess is decent as well.
Faculty: Faculty here is qualified, as most of the faculty is well aware of the subjects and best industry practices. The curriculum is also very diverse, covering both technical and non-technical aspects of corporate life. The startup culture here is very good, and many startups have been funded by the college in Explore Hub.

Review based on my two and a half years at college.
Placements: Well, I am a Computer Science student, and you know the average package in our university is between Rs. 4,00,000/- to Rs. 6,00,000/-. The top recruiting companies are JP Morgan, Microsoft, Tech Mahindra, Tata, and other big companies that recruit students from the university. In my opinion, I would say the placement rate is good, but it depends more on the students and their skills.
Infrastructure: Well, as a CS E student, we have been provided with good resources. We have a very good library. One of the things that I like about this university is its library and the environment in it. Then, Wi-Fi is also okay. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Classrooms are good too. If you guys want to know about the hostel, you should get to know from others as I am a day scholar. But they also have bus facilities, but they are expensive. They also deny giving bus passes for government buses. That’s something I really appreciate about the university. The sports facility is good. Some sports are free to play. For some, you have to pay.
Faculty: Well, as a CS E student, we have been provided with facilities that are part of some other companies. They have good experience in their field, and teachers help students too. One thing I don't like is that they do not provide a pre-semester calendar, which almost every university provides. Sometimes they even call us on Saturday for 1-hour work. Exams are medium level. They take place in the university in computer labs.
Other: The reason I chose this course is because I talked to some of my relatives and some other people, and one thing I want to say is try to choose another course, try mechanical engineering or some other thing, because the number of students increasing day by day in this course. I am not saying it's a bad thing, but just try to do something different. One thing I like to talk about specifically is that the fests in this university are really good, and the campus is also good. I will say you should visit the university one time for sure.

Chitkara University Review.
Placements: The companies like Amazon, Wipro, Microsoft, Infosys, HCL, TCS and many other MNCs visit our campus for recruitment. The top roles offered for our course are SDE, QA/TIET, frontend engineer/developer/UI, full-stack etc. Placements are very good and the average package exceeds 10 LPA. They have the record of 100% scholarship.
Infrastructure: The college has well-maintained infrastructure and facilities like a well-maintained library, air-conditioned classrooms, and high-speed Wi-Fi although most of the sites don't work with their Wi-Fi. The college provides all types of infrastructure for sports - a gym, basketball court, a cricket ground, multiple football fields, volleyball courts, multiple badminton courts, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified as per the university requirements as well as they will be very helpful in your academics as well as in the co-curricular activities. The exam format is kind of hectic but the students can pass easily if they have studied. The course curriculum is relevant and is par with day-to-day world. The attendance policy is kind of stressful and has strict consequences if you fail to maintain your attendance.
Other: I opted for this course and college because it is one of the best colleges when it comes to CSE and has a very good placements record.

Placements are good here in comparison to other private colleges .
Placements: Our college provides good placements every year. Many big companies recruit from our college regularly, including MNCs. Companies take a written test and interview before selecting the students. Internships are also provided by the college. So placements are good in our course, with an average package of 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are affordable, and all facilities are available like laundry, gyms, etc. Wi-Fi is available for students and faculty members. Classrooms are fully ventilated. The overall infrastructure of our course is good. Food of mess is also good, according to me. Sports facilities are available.
Faculty: Our course is well designed and it gives practical knowledge about industry. Teachers are well qualified and experienced. They are available to help anytime and they support students. Exams are not very difficult. Mentors are also very good in our course. Overall, the teaching quality is good.
Other: The campus is surrounded by beautiful villages.
