Review of CIET - Camellia Institute Of Engineering And Technology.
Placements: There were 32 students in our department, among whom the majority were lateral candidates. Students have to find an internship by themselves. The placement percentage was 10%. Companies like Ranch Polymer Private Limited, Pinnacle, Radiant Electronics, etc., were among the few companies that came for placements, but the salary package was low, so many students did not opt for jobs. The highest salary package one can expect from the college is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. There are classrooms and labs. There is a library where students can get all the books related to the syllabus. If they are not available, they can write an application to the registrar and librarian to get the book. The hostel facilities are good. Inside the college campus, there are big rooms. If one wishes not to stay in the college hostel, they can rent a mess. The canteen is good, with breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. The quality of the food is good.
Faculty: Teachers are good. There were four teachers in our department. They are knowledgeable, conduct classes regularly, and are very helpful. The curriculum of our course was good. Almost all of the fundamentals are covered in the first two years, and the third and fourth years are made up of open electives from which students can choose. The level of semester exams is hard if conducted offline. If it is conducted online, students can pass it easily as it is MCQ-based.
Other: I have always had an interest in electronics. Subjects like ML and AI should not be kept optional and should be made compulsory. The college conducts fests like MENETYZ. Biswakarma Puja, Saraswati Puja, Holi, etc., are also celebrated. A scholarship is given to WB students. A scholarship from OASIS is given to SC and ST students. Many WB students also received Vivekananda Scholarships.
