Candidate must have scored minimum mentioned marks in the subjects specified (PCM) taken together at 10+2 pattern. Overall CMR College of engineering and technology is a good college for students.

Placements: At CMR Institute, nearly 83.2 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest placement package was above 40 LPA. The average package was 6.4 LPA, and the lowest package was 3.4 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, Wipro, TCS, and many more recruit students.

Infrastructure: CMR College has good faculty with well-defined classes, well-equipped labs, and an enhanced way of teaching. It has a good library with thousands of books. It also has hostel facilities available within the college campus. It has a huge canteen with a capacity of more than 200 and provides good food. The quality of the food in the canteen is good, and there are many other facilities like a sports room, a huge cricket ground, table tennis courts, and other sports activities like basketball and volleyball.

Faculty: The teachers in this institute are very friendly and try to interact with every student so that no student is left behind. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders. The course curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. It has moderately difficult semester exams, which make the students capable for their future. The pass percentage in the college is above 74%.

Other: I had an interest in computer science engineering with a specialization in data science, so I chose it. In India, most students are choosing CSE, thinking it has more opportunities. I thought the same. Our college also has many facilities like clubs (sports club, arts club, NCC) and many more.

CMRCET provides good support to skillful students in terms of placements.

Placements: In our college, placements are given the highest priority. A separate cell called the Training and Placements cell works on providing good placements to skilled students. As we aspire to be software engineers, there are a lot of opportunities and career growth options for us.

Infrastructure: The college provides good facilities in all aspects. The infrastructure is very good. Although Wi-Fi isn't provided to students, they provide Ethernet in labs. Classrooms are well-equipped too. The hostel also provides good facilities and safety. Mess food is of good quality. We are also involved in sports and games.

Faculty: While many of the faculty are well qualified, some of the newly appointed faculty still struggle to gain appropriate knowledge. The teaching quality is above average. Most of them rely on PPTs. Curriculum is well designed. The semester question papers are designed in such a way that a below-average student could pass the exam if they put in little effort.

Other: I have chosen this course because it is the most demanding course right now. I aspire to be developed since my 6th standard. The best thing about my course is that we get to practically gain knowledge by implementing the concepts in the lab. Events and fests are conducted in college every year. Students are motivated to participate in extracurricular activities and hackathons.

Better Placements In 2023-2024 .

Placements: Pass percentage of our course was 85%, and the highest was 86%. The lowest was 45%, and the average package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiters were Accenture, Wipro, Google, and many more, offering base packages, with many offering higher packages.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are digital, and labs were fully in working condition. Boys' hostels were so good, and this year, 2024, 2 new buildings for the boys' hostel were constructed. The food was good, and the girls' hostel was also good. The fee structure of the hostels was 110,000 per year.

Faculty: The teaching quality of our teachers was good, and CMRCET currently runs the R22 curriculum. The semester exams were difficult, and the questions made students think. The faculty was good, and the teaching was good overall. The library was fully advanced.

Other: Actually, I'm interested in CSE Data Science. Previously, I've pursued CSE in diploma, and now I want to switch to CSE Data Science. Currently, the faculty at CMRCET is good. The fests are not much, but they do happen.

Can crack placement easily without strong skill set.

Placements: 2023-2024 academic placements are not so good compared too 2022 -2023. This year top recruiting companies are accenture, speridian technologies, capgemini etc. The highest package for year 2023-24 is 34 Lacs per annum. Only about 30 percentage students are placed till now.

Infrastructure: A very good infrastructure had seperate blocks for freshers and seniors, library block etc. Also had facilites like internet, sports, innovation cell, nss, placement cell etc. Most of the times canteen food is very good but prices are very high.

Faculty: Due to change in curriculum its so difficult compare too seniors for passing exams. Only few teachers are helpful during the examinations but some are very strict. But this course ciricullum won't make students industry ready. Pass percentage is decreasing every year now about 80 percentage.

The CMR Memorial Adda.

Placements: In our campus, placements are offered for students above 7 points, depending on their skills. Top companies like Microsoft, Google, Infosys, and many more are associated with us. Courses include CSE, AI/ML, and others. I think those scoring above 7 or 8 get internships!

Infrastructure: Some facilities are good! Labs are okay, but we feel comfortable in classrooms despite the heat. The library is excellent; they allow us to read books. Hostel food isn't bad, and we're satisfied with the canteen food. Sports facilities are available.

Faculty: A few faculty members teach excellently, but new teachers aren't as good; they don't teach well! The pass percentage is around 5 to 6. There are no difficulties in semester exams. We're satisfied with the question papers, and they're evaluated correctly.

Other: I'm more interested in software than hardware because AI is developing day by day and is trending. I want to gain practical knowledge in this area, so I chose CSD. Scholarships are provided, and extracurricular activities and events happen regularly.
