    It's average. Nothing special.
Placements: Placements were conducted for the pass out students this year, company that came was dockendale. Hoping the placements improve in the upcoming years. Placement is not the best at the moment but if you're a top student then placement will be assured.
Infrastructure: Canteen is available, Wi-Fi is there in the campus but not in the hostel. Gym is very poor but it is there if you need it. Mess is not that great but it's decent at times. Medical facilities are not available inside campus but there is a van and they will take you to the nearest hospital available which is good. Sports activities are cricket and volleyball. The ground is average.
Faculty: Faculty is good and it is IMU's syllabus, so nothing to complaint about that. There are a few sailors who teach in the senior years. Most of the main subject's staff are sailors with real experience. Semester exams are easy if you regularly study but if you pile it up for the end, it will be very difficult to pass the exams.

    Our college placements are increasing.
Placements: Our college placements are average. Top recruiting companies like Mark Shipping, Synergy Shipping, etc., visit our campus. Top role offered is trainee marine engineer. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month and the highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college has an average infrastructure. There are many labs in our college. Almost all labs have Wi-Fi, except the workshop lab. The library has some good books but the newer editions are limited. The mess food is not good.
Faculty: Our college teachers are excellent. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 50%. Their teaching quality is average. It's not the best college out there, but it's good for the money.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in marine engineering.

Apart from placements everything was good at Coimbatore Marine college.
Placements: Coimbatore Marine College did not have very many placement opportunities for its students. Very few of the students in this batch get placed at this college. The average package offered at the college was between 3 and 6 LPA. Students were not getting proper placement support from the college. Internships were also not given to the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure available at the Coimbatore Marine College for our course was good. College had a pretty big campus. All the necessary facilities were provided to the students by the management. The college has facilities such as a hostel, canteen, Wi-Fi, library, labs, sports, etc. for its students. The food in both the college canteen and mess was average.
Faculty: The faculty of the Coimbatore Marine College was good for our course. Teachers available in our course are experienced, and we'll be qualified at this college. They were using all their experience for the students development. The course curriculum was also relevant and made students industry-ready. Exams were not that hard to pass at this college for our course. Overall, the teaching quality was good enough at this college.

    B.Tech degree for low cost.
Placements: Placement in Coimbatore Marine College: In last Two years due to covid many colleges struggling to give placement. Before covid I heard that Dockendale shipping private ltd recruited students from CMC. It give good placement for ETO. We hoping to increase B.Tech placement in future.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of Coimbatore Marine College is good as a Marine training college. Because Its not like other engineering college, It specifically for marine studies. So cadets studying also less in number, What ever the facilities are there enough for that much student.
Faculty: Faculty members of Coimbatore Marine college: faculty members and couching are good. Even in online they tried their best. Many field experienced faculty members also taking classes. Almost all the core subject books are available in Library. Exams are conducted as per IMU circular.

    Overall, the college is excellent.
Placements: There are 80-90 students per batch, and some students get good placements with an average package of 6-10 LPA. Companies like MAERSK, etc., come here. On average, 60% of students got internships. Some students are offered higher positions in shipping like capitan, chief engineer etc.
Infrastructure: Everything is good here, but the campus is not Wi-Fi enabled. The classrooms are excellent. The hostel is good, and the condition of the washrooms is okay. The food from 2022 is superb. The ground is small, but sports are going well.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are bad, but 70% of the faculty are superb. They teach in an excellent manner. The course curriculum is not relevant. It does not make the students ready for industry. Exams are tough. 90% of students pass the exams.
Other: Parade is the best time for us to learn everything on campus. We can read more books to gain more knowledge. Events are held every year. Everything is good on campus.

    Reviewing Coimbatore Marine College.
Placements: This course is under IMU University. The eligibility for this course is the need to clear IMUCET exam with a good rank having 60% in PCM and 50% in English compulsorily. You need to take a medical test from DG approved hospital which includes an eye check up. I secured 4200 rank in IMUCET exam. Our batch of B.Tech ‘23 with a strength of 38 students includes one girl. The IMUCET exam is not a tough exam. You just need to concentrate on school level PCM only along with a little aptitude knowledge, this will make you clear the IMUCET exam very easily.
Infrastructure: Our college is constructed in the model of a ship which is named as TS Clarissa. The entire campus is also labeled with shipping terms only. This makes the cadets practice and learn the shipping terms. An engine room is available with real marine 4 strokes engine and other marine auxiliary machines. This makes the students learn about marine machinery and equipments easily. Deck side along with the aviation room is available with all the aviation equipments like a steering box, etc. The college is located in very good environment. The hostel is available inside the campus. Separate hostels are available for boys and girls. All the hostel rooms are non AC. Two hostels for boys and one hostel for girl cadets are available inside the campus. The hostel rooms are constructed with good air ventilation. 2 to 4 cadets can stay in one room. The only drawback is the power cut which creates tension in the summer season.
Faculty: Mostly the faculty members of this college are sailors. Other than the sailing staff, a few senior professor are handling some subjects. The sailing staff shares their own experience which helps the students learn more about sailing and other details. Chief Engineer and Captain are handling marine papers which is very good to gain more knowledge and experience. This course is under IMU University, the syllabus and questions are prepared by IMU University only. The paper evaluation is very strict. Exams consist of 70 marks. Out of 70, you need to get 35% to pass. The question papers are some times repetitions of previous years, mostly they ask new questions. Without studying, we will not able clear the semester exams. If you study a subject’s basic concepts, you can clear the exam easily. They frame new questions from basics concepts only.
Other: If you want to study this course for a low fee, my suggestion is you choose this college because for the money you pay, you will gain good knowledge. The drawback is that the placements are not available in this college. You need to try on your own.
