The real review of COEP College.
Placements: We understand that we do not have fewer jobs in the private sector; in the government sector, our demand is higher. The college placement cell does not support us in getting any jobs; we hustle ourselves and grab a job at Mul Municipal Council. Do not keep any expectations from college if you are planning to do this course. The college provides internships with L&T Construction and Adani Groups, where internships pay more than INR 25,000 per month. If you grab a job in the government sector, your life will be amazing. Your starting salary is 6-7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Good campus, crowded roads; each campus is divided into 4 parts because of the road and flyover. Local politics is very much here; even clubs accept students of the same religion. The college has 24-hour Wi-Fi, more libraries, labs, and survey equipment, and classrooms are specific. The hostel is 5 minutes away from campus; we need to cross a road that has a lot of traffic. The hostel is expensive, and there are no good bathroom facilities. Mess is very good again. Many options are available near the college, with three canteens available. There are many sports activities and clubs in college, like root study, circle CSAT, cricket club, Gymkhana, and boast club.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, but from our year, batch size increased and faculty number remained the same. Faculty members are talented professors who graduated from NIT, IIT, or other top institutes. The course is designed to build a new town in a developing country like India. Indian economy is growing; we need more Tier 1 cities, so our role is critical and demand is higher, but in the government sector. Semester exams are always difficult; you need proper preparation.
Other: COEP is the top college in India; now it is equivalent to some IITs, so this reason is enough to choose COEP. But COEP has become so crowded now that even Pune has become very crowded.
