Absolute reality of Cummins staff and the college.

Placements: They don’t guarantee placement and internship, and in my course, it is not there in most of the colleges. So, the companies approaching us for internship and placement are very few, and they select 1-3 candidates maximum. The students’ placement percentage in my particular course would be 30-40%.

Worth the 4 years of memories.

Placements: Placements were purely dependent upon relations with the training and placement officer. Although the numbers have improved over the years due to the college becoming autonomous, the TPO still remains the deciding factor in where you get placed. Very biased.

Good placements, strict environment, good participation in sports and other activities (NSS).

Placements: As far as the number of companies that visit the campus is considered, there isn't much difference between our senior batch and our batch. But, if we talk about the batches which have passed out 4-5 years back, there were a lot more companies that used to visit that time when compared to the current placement scenario. Placements are average for our branch. The percentage of students who got placed last year was 36%. However, this year, around 36% of the students were placed already in the month...

The college has good placements and satisfying facilities.

Placements: Three of my seniors got placed in Intel, and a student placed in ISRO with the salary package of 13.5 LPA. The average package offered was 7 LPA. For our batch, the college is going to arrange the campus drive in December for the internships. Last year, all the students of the previous batch got the internship from college.

The placements are good, but the infrastructure is poor.

Placements: Placements in the college are good. Students are even placed at good companies. Our college trains students for placements and interviews. Even Microsoft visited our college and offered a salary package of 39 LPA. Our college put its efforts for the students to excel in placements and extracurricular activities.

Placements: The highest salary package offered till now in placements is 34 LPA. Microsoft offered this high package job and only two students received it. A good chunk of students received 20 LPA packages whereas the average package is 8 LPA. Branches like instrumentation and control received the highest package ranging between 7-8 LPA. The college is good but has some disadvantages.

Placements: Placements in the college are pretty good for selected branches. For the students of computer and IT branches, the highest package offered was 31 LPA whereas the average package offered was in between 6 LPA to 7 LPA. Not many companies offer placements for the students of branches like instrumentation and control systems and mechanical. Placements are decent for software related branches.

Our TPO has been part of the college for the past 22 years and has made sure that top companies visit our college every year. It is September 2018 and already 50% of the final year students have been placed in some of the finest companies out there.

The college has different kinds of teachers, and the infrastructure is old.

Placements: The placements of our college were good. I got placed. Many technical and IT companies visit the college for placements. The salary packages offered for the students of IT department were good whereas the salary package offered for technical branches are not that good. 100% of the students got placed in 2016. TPO was excellent. Cummins has a very good reputation in terms of placement. It's always been on the top in placements.
