Admission Process

Register and Apply
Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Candidate has to select preferred course at the time of registration, there is no limit on the maximum number of courses in which the candidate can apply and there is no additional fee for applying in multiple courses.

Final Selection
Admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Selected list of admitted candidates would be displayed on the DU admission portal. Admission is confirmed only if online admission fee is paid with in the stipulated time. One candidate can take admission only in one course in one college at any given time.

Dissatisfied with the fee structure, great faculty, low infrastructure and less facilities.

Placements: The Placement Society tries its best to provide us with all the internship opportunities and conducts placement fairs too, but the opportunities for placement for my particular course are next to negligible. People from our college do get placed, but it is often a matter of luck.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are sometimes not clean, and you have to remind the cleaners and ask them to clean. There is no such thing as Wi-Fi. The library is pretty good. Medical facilities are available. The canteen serves hygienic food. However, the sports facilities are not up to the mark.

Faculty: The faculty of the Philosophy Department is very friendly and helpful. The teachers provide us with all the materials, previous year question papers, and anything we need to prepare for the exams. The semester exams for this course are easy because there are a set number of questions only.

Other: The people here can be competitive and rude at times. But you will find really good friendships here too. The connectivity of the college to other colleges makes it more fun and easy to interact with other college students. But the fees, as compared to other colleges, is way too much and doesn’t make it 'affordable.'

Daulat Ram College offers an environment filled with competence for a student to grow.

Placements: The placement cell of the college, 'Vriddhi'—the placement cell is quite active. One of my friends who volunteered in the magnetic fields festival got the opportunity from highly cooperative teachers, teachers always ready to help the students. In the science stream and the commerce department, many students took part in the 'Job Mela'.

Infrastructure: The hostel infrastructure is highly commendable; it has everything a student needs; the hostel mess food is so good, as recommended by the hostel president (she's my friend); she told me that hostel food is so good, not like PG ones; the hostel is occupied with laundry, a TV room, a study room and others. The wi-fi facility is there; after 9 pm, no one goes outside, and the security of the girls is highly maintained.

Faculty: The faculty of the department are very helpful; they encourage students to study hard, and they help them wherever students feel any need. The faculty of other departments is also very good, and due to NEP, students also get the opportunity to interact with other students and the teachers.

Other: I'm pursuing a Bachelors in Philosophy, and my course offers a platform to think, enrich as a person, and evolve as a personality .

Life and academics at DRC, DU.

Placements: There were no campus placements in my department; most students went for higher education and civil services. Philosophy is a unique degree and hence academia is the most suited for this field. The faculty helps students by providing insight on the future prospects of the degree.

Infrastructure: The campus is clean and beautiful, the canteen is hygienic and there are a lot of food options. There are also a lot of creative elements in the college that promote environmental sustainability. Overall, the campus has all the facilities, labs, and library that are well maintained.

Faculty: Each semester is well divided into doable course work; there is an organized structure that is followed in the curriculum. The faculty is qualified and the teaching is up to par. The course is very relevant and quite interesting. The process of taking the end-of-semester exam is also very simple.

Other: The cultural atmosphere of the college is awesome. There are various social events like fests, competitions, talks, drives, fairs, tours, etc. You can experience the best DU life in DRC. Also, the administration is very helpful and kind.

DRC (Daulat Ram College): Best college for girls in North campus, University of Delhi.

Placements: The college has a placement cell called "Vridhi.". The placement scenario at my college is generally positive, with several good companies visiting the campus for recruitment. 6 out of 10 students are getting placed in companies. Companies like EY, KPMG, Deloitte, Accenture, Saas Labs, L&T, etc. are visiting college. Also, the highest package offered is 21 LPA and the average package is 5–6 LPA.

Infrastructure: The college offers a mixed bag of amenities and experiences. While the library system falls short and the sports facilities are lacking, the campus buzzes with festivity and social engagement. Hostel facilities have faced turbulence but were once commendable, albeit with room for improvement in food quality. Campus life is vibrant with diverse societies and events, though inconsistency in facilities and management dampens the overall experience. Also, the hostel fee is INR 120000 per year.

Faculty: The faculty at the college offers a mixed experience. While some professors are dedicated, knowledgeable, and readily available for guidance, others may fall short in effectively delivering the curriculum. The provisions of doubt classes are commendable, providing an opportunity for clarification within the college premises. However, there are occasional instances of effective teaching, with mechanisms in place for addressing such issues through college intervention. Overall, the faculty present a good mix, with room for improvement in consistency and teaching effectiveness.

Other: Every year, an annual fest is organized called Manjari. And there are many social clubs for all the different departments. Scholarships are also being offered to those students who are eligible.

Overwhelming Placements in 2023.

Placements: Daulat Ram College is a women's college which is a constituent college of Delhi University. It also ranks 15th and 9th in Arts and Science categories respectively. The placements cell of Daulat Ram College has played a pivotal role in arranging multiple internship drives to foster a stronger connection between academia and industry. Various reputed companies like Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, Wipro, PWC, Genpact, Teach for India and Cent. DRC Placements. The highest and average package offered stand at INR 21.5 LPA and INR 6.5 LPA respectively. Around 110+ students got placed in over 40 companies.

Infrastructure: There are facilities including a Wi-Fi, Labs, Classrooms and a Library available for the students. Also, there are e-libraries which can be accessed anytime, anywhere. The hostel’s infrastructure is good with the rooms being newly build. So, the strength of the hostel is good. The food quality of the hostel is also good. They provide meals 4 times in a day. The quality of the mess and canteen’s food is average. They provide ample of opportunities for sports and games and encourage the students to participate.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and friendly. They try to provide the most relevant study material. The course curriculum is very relevant. The semester exams are held under the guidance of Delhi University. The exams are of moderate difficulty level. Almost all the students pass.

Other: The campus life is peaceful. There are conferences and talks organized to keep the students educated and informed. Fests are regularly held making the campus lively and happy.
