College with very poor infrastructure and unattractive campus.
Placements: Well, I am currently in my 2nd year, and I inquired about placements from our seniors. They told me that for the past few years, the placement cell isn't that active, and only very few students who don't have backlogs get placed with a maximum of 2-3 LPA. If you have good skills and no backlogs, then there is a chance that you can get placed. The amount will be based on your skills.
Infrastructure: There is no canteen available, no sports or extracurricular activities, and the campus isn't attractive. It's just buildings with no ground for sports. The classrooms are very old with weak benches, and the washrooms are very dirty. The library is also not up to the mark.
Faculty: The faculty is average. The whole curriculum is affiliated with OU, which is quite tough and isn't autonomous. The pass percentage of the college is declining, and the college is least bothered about building the career for students. There are no workshops or seminar sessions to improve skills.
Other: There are no fests or events. It's just come, study, and leave. That's it.

Review of Deccan College of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Mostly few students were placed this year due to the recession. The highest offered by the college was 5 LPA. The average package offered for my course is 3.6 LPA for me; that too, I got selected in Kolkata, and companies like Amazon and Tech Mahindra will visit. I got an internship in Sitarambagh Substation, where I learnt many things.
Infrastructure: No canteen; no good facilities like internet, sports, and cultural activities. No NAAC accreditation. The labs are comfortable, and the library was also too good. You will find many volumes, and there is a digital library too. No hostel for the campus; mostly you will be finding the hostel near Mehdipatnam.
Faculty: Faculty is good and experienced. And help in clarifying the doubts. Most of the students didn't capture the industry knowledge. They explain a students in a better manner. The pass percentage will be low because your correction will be done by OU. So be serious with your semester exams.
Other: As I am a Diploma holder, I chose this branch, EEE. Learn skills from yourself, like embedded systems and VLSI design, where you can see a bright future. No crowd in the campus. Most students will appear only in midterm exams.

Having good placement in CSE and IT.
Placements: No recruitment in my course for other courses, but there is good placement for CSE and IT students. The package will be less than 4 LPA. No internship got from my course in any company. No top company roles are offered in the course. IT and CSE got offer letters from different colleges.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of labs is good, and all equipment is good in the labs. There is no hostel in my college, and there are no food facilities in the college. Outside the college, there are many canteens. There are sports in the college and medical facilities.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good. Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, and they are very helpful in solving doubts. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant, and yes, the students are made industry-ready. The semester exams in this college are more difficult with a passing percentage of 70%.

Why you shouldn't opt for Deccan college, Nampally!
Placements: The placements are really poor and I don't think recently any student got placed in any sector. First of all, very few companies approached our college to give any sort of role to a student; it has been 3 years and I don't see many internship opportunities as well .
Infrastructure: Labs are of no use most of the time, and you're not allowed in the lab during college hours, which is not a good rule. The classrooms are really bad, the fans and lights won't work properly, and the benches are broken. Thank God I am a convent student because I would never want to pay for and study at such a college where the infrastructure is so bad.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified but not as great as we would expect them to be, obviously since their job is to make us learn. I don't find that quality of teaching in this college. In the beginning, we had great teachers with excellent teaching skills but now it's really bad.
Other: No extra-curricular activities at all.

"A tour to the Deccan college of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: This college has the best placements and gets good packages for students. The placement satisfaction is absolute, and an average of 6 LPA is the minimum package for a student. But you have to focus and gain skills from college to get a job. Without dedication, there is no hope in the placement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good enough to provide good classes for students. There are labs, libraries, and playgrounds to perform extracurricular activities, and projectors are there in labs to provide a better understanding for students. The college consists of 6 floors, each one is divided into different apartments.
Faculty: The faculty is very nice, and everyone is nice to each other. They provide proper assistance to freshers in every department, clarify their doubts, and encourage them to participate in extracurricular activities, events, orientations, and to be active by playing cricket and badminton sports.
Other: As I chose M.Tech because it is in demand in the IT field and garners a lot of attention. I can get good placement with skills and the degree. Of course, skills without the degree. As to its worth, I chose it to learn and gain skills, knowledge, and to earn with this. Learning, gaining knowledge, and wealth are both important to me.

I like my college because of its environment, friendly facilities, and good quality education.
Placements: The course has a total of 18 seats per batch. It's the most demanding course for the civil engineering and construction industry. I received a scholarship from the government. Construction companies like Mappher, KHM, etc., provided internship programs for us. The top role we can apply for after completing this course is junior structural engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There is no hostel facility on the college campus, but there are many private hostels in the area around the college as it is located in the city near Nampally. The college has a huge ground for games and academic purposes. There is no canteen in the college, but there are many hotels around it.
Faculty: The faculty is good and helpful, with well-qualified professors, HODs, and the Principal. The course curriculum is relevant and provided before the start of the course. Four semester exams are conducted in the two years of the course, and a minimum of 50% marks is required to pass the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue my Master's in structural engineering. More new subject-related topics could be introduced in the course, such as more practical approaches and the use of software design in labs.

Yes, you can take lateral entries in Deccan College of Engineering and Technology. You should apply here and wait for the results. The lateral entry seats are limited and it depends upon the college, what minimum criteria it has prescribed.
