Navigating Transition: a brief review about my college experience.

Placements: Overall placement percentage from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya has remained stagnant over the past 1-2 years. Though the quality the placements students got has improved a little bit over the last 1 year. Some of the companies which recruited students are TresVista, EY GDS, optum, Genpat, DE Shaw, etc. Most of the other students have opted for getting a higher degree like MCA or M.Sc. Computer Science.

Satisfied with infrastructure and faculty members. But dissatisfied with placements and playgrounds.

Placements: 15-20% of the students are placed in my course. As my course includes Operation Research is one of its cores, there is a lot of scope for internship and placements as its applications are almost in every field, like Airline industry, Transportation, agriculture, etc.

Fully satisfied with the facilities and infrastructure of the college; the fees paid are worth it.

Placements: Top recruiting companies include KPMG, EY, Paytm, etc. The highest package offered in 2023 was 21.5 LPA, and the average package offered was 4-5 LPA. Most students from courses like B.Com. (Hons.) and BMS were successfully placed, with the highest package going to a B.Com. (Hons.) graduate.

Join if you want no peace.

Placements: Placements are offered only for BMS and commerce students, and the highest package may go up to 6-7 LPA. So, placements are low as compared to other colleges. Internship opportunities are provided by the placement cell, and we have to search on our own.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, but not so good placements in 2023.

Placements: About 10% of students got placements in our course last year. The highest package offered was 500000, the lowest package offered was 300000 and the average package offered was 400000. The top recruiting companies were HDFC, Kotak, etc. About 10% of students got internships at many companies. The top roles offered were HR, manager, etc.

Satisfactory for infrastructure and average to below average for placements.

Placements: Don't expect good placement in this college unless you are from the commerce department or BMS. For computer science, the placement is also not so good. The average is around INR 3-5 LPA. For commerce and BMS, the highest package was INR 18 LPA; for other departments, placement is almost nil.

Best infrastructure and good location.

Placements: Our college placement is lower, but many big companies come here and give internships to students, like Google, Amazon, etc. The maximum package is INR 23 lacs per annum, and the average package is around INR 5 lacs per annum. In our course 8 CGPA and above holders got internships.

Our college has good infrastructure and the commerce department has good faculty.

Placements: Placements are not so good in the computer science department. Companies like Wipro and Accenture visit our college every year. The salary package provided is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Placements are good in commerce and BMS departments. Very good companies visit our campus for placements.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay- OFF CAMPUS.

Placements: I am from B.Com (Hons) and around 70% of the students got placed in my batch. The top recruiting companies were KPMG, DELOITTE etc. Many students got internships in these companies too. The highest package was of 6LPA and the lowest package was of 3LPA.

Placements: Our college doesn't provide placement opportunities for science and arts students. Our college provides placement opportunities for B. Com and marketing graduates. It is a good course if you want to opt for Ph.D. or higher studies.

Highly recommended college with the best infrastructure in entire DU.

Placements: Campus placements are average to good in our college. Companies do visit our college and select specific students required for specialised fields. Also placements are specific to courses only like if you are having courses like B.A. B.Com then your getting placements Probability is high but if you belong to B.Sc. background you might need to struggle to get good placements.

Good faculty and crowd, but not so good placements.

Placements: The college does not have good placements (if at all) for B.Sc. (H) Computer Science. Many students from my class have opted for CS honours just to get a bachelor's degree and want to pursue an MBA or some government jobs. So, the number of students who are actually interested in placements is about 40 per year, and any good company won't come just for 40 students in a 3-year degree programme. Out of those students, many want to do a master's, so they don't prepare for placements, though you can...

Good for personality development.

Placements: Although there is a placement cell within the college, Computer Science students are not receiving any placement offers. The other courses are facing similar issues, while the commerce students are the ones who mostly get placed. There are no recruitment drives conducted for Computer Science students on campus, and only a handful have secured off-campus placements. The placement cell has helped around 20% of students find internships, but these opportunities are also far away from specialisation...
