Q:   Is Ewing Christian College (ECC) good for BCA?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Here's a summary of the student reviews:

    * Teaching Quality: Some teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful, while others may not be. Teaching quality varies, and some teachers may not be supportive.
    * Infrastructure: The college has average infrastructure, with poor facilities such as outdated computers, slow and unreliable Wi-Fi, and cramped classrooms. The campus is relatively good, with a green area and decent sports facilities.
    * Placement: There is no placement assistance provided by the college, and no recruiting companies visit the campus. Very few students get internships, and those who do typically find opportunities outside the college. The highest package offered was around INR3 LPA, and the lowest was INR1.2 LPA.
    * Course Curriculum: While the course curriculum covers basic topics, some students felt it did not prepare them adequately for industry demands.
    * Student Life: Some students enjoyed their time at ECC, citing friendly classmates and decent campus life. Others found the hostel facilities lacking and had to arrange alternative accommodation.
    * Advice: Overall, students advise potential applicants to weigh the pros and cons carefully before enrolling in ECC's BCA program. Those looking for strong placement opportunities might consider other institutions.

Based on these reviews, ECC seems to struggle with providing adequate placement opportunities and modern infrastructure. While some teachers are knowledgeable and supportive, others may not meet expectations. Ultimately, prospective students should research thoroughly and assess whether ECC's strengths outweigh its weaknesses.

Course Curriculum at Ewing Christian College (ECC) for BCA

Based on student reviews and feedback, here's an overview of how the course curriculum at ECC is structured for the BCA program:

    * Teaching Quality: According to some students, the teaching quality is "just okay" with some professors showing partiality towards certain students. Others describe the teaching quality as good, with some exceptional professors who are supportive and knowledgeable.
    * Relevance to Industry: Some students feel that the course curriculum does not prepare them for industry standards, while others believe it makes them industry-ready.
    * Semester Exams: The semester exams are considered moderate-level by some students, requiring consistent studying to pass. A passing percentage of 44% has been reported.
    * Curriculum Design: Unfortunately, the college did not organize regular recruitment drives or invite leading IT companies for placements. As a result, many students had to seek off-campus opportunities, which affected the overall placement rate.

In summary, the BCA course curriculum at ECC receives mixed reviews regarding its effectiveness in preparing students for industry demands. While some students appreciate their professors' support and find the course relevant to industry needs, others express concerns about partiality among instructors and lack of relevance to real-world applications.

    There is no placement available.
Placements: There is no placement provided by the college. There is no help given by the college for doing internships. There are no recruiting companies coming to college. No students get internships from the college. Students must look for on-campus employment. There is only one for the BCA course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The BCA campus has good infrastructure. The computer lab is air-conditioned. There is a facility for parking but they charge for parking. There are sports games available for students. There is no Wi-Fi for students.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified; they teach the concepts in the best way. The notes are best for understanding the concepts. Teachers are friendly. Teachers have huge knowledge of subjects; they are well-qualified teachers. 75 percent attendance is a must in college.
Other: This college is value for money.

    Disappointing infrastructure and ineffective faculty.
Placements: I saw very little effort from the cell in organizing recruitment drives or inviting leading IT companies. The placement % was very low, with the highest package of only INR 3 LPA and the lowest was only INR 1.2 LPA. The college also claims to provide internships to students, but during my course, I saw very little effort from the college and only 20% of BCA students got internships. Top recruiting companies for our course were TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. Top roles offered in our course were software development, system analyst, and network administrator.
Infrastructure: Unfortunately my experience with the college's infrastructure has been far from satisfactory. The college's Wi-Fi is frustratingly slow and unreliable. The computer labs are poorly equipped with outdated machines and software. The classrooms are cramped, with inadequate ventilation and lighting, making it hard to concentrate during lectures. The hostel facilities are no better. The rooms are small and cramped, with no proper ventilation or lighting. The bathrooms are often dirty. The hostel mess serves hygienic food. The medical facilities in the college are substandard, with a poorly equipped infirmary and untrained staff. The sports and game facilities are nonexistent, with no proper grounds or equipment available for students.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable but few teachers are not. Teaching quality is good but again only few teachers teach well. This course curriculum will make you ready for industry. Semester exams are not that tough. The pass percent is 45%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a software engineer .

Best College, Best Education, Best Training and value of money .
Placements: Packages start from 2 LPA to 7 LPA. Top companies are Infosis etc. Internship will be introduced in this year definitely. Roles offered are MD Teacher Leader, Programmer Web developer, apk developer and many more .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very good and the campus is very awesome. Campus is full of Wi-Fi but we didn't get the password. Classrooms are superb and library is very good. Sport and games are played in high number. Facilities are very good and you will get better environment .
Faculty: The teachers are very supportive, very talented, highly qualified and experienced knowledge of professor is incredible. The course makes the students industry ready. Semester exam is probably difficult because if you don't study you cannot pass. 44% is passing percentage.

I am absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty and there were no placements in 2021.
Placements: No one got placed in our course. The students who got placed are the ones who had applied off-campus. There is no package available. No company came for recruitment. No internships were provided. Only three workshops were provided.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are not good. Ceilings sometimes fall. Wi-Fi only gives 30 MB to use, so it doesn't provide internet. Classrooms and library are good. The library is good. We have good books there, but in small numbers. If 60 students were there, then only 30 to 40 could take that particular book, and the others couldn't get that book. The canteen is good.
Faculty: BCA department teachers always showed partiality. They were not very supportive. They were just fine. The teaching quality was just okay. The course curriculum wasn't relevant. It doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams were at a moderate level.
Other: I chose BCA because I wanted to learn coding. If they had taught us well and given us internships and placements, then it would be better.

Our college is very good and offers students a better future.
Placements: Our college is good for studying. But there is not any good placement. If you are searching for a better placement plan after graduation, you have to choose another college, and other things are good. The average salary package for this college is Rs. 10,000 to 15,000 per month.
Infrastructure: Our college is good for computer courses. However, there were no hostel facilities available at the college. You have to search for other living options. The college is well up-to-date. We have a fully green campus, a Wi-Fi campus, etc. Everything in our college is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are good, well-knowledgeable people with good teaching experience. They have up-to-date computer labs with high-speed internet. We have a full projected class with a well-mannered teacher. Although this is a good college with low fees as compared to other colleges.
Other: Everything in our college is good, but if you are searching for better opportunities in the future in BCA, you have to go to better colleges in India. But for a minimum purpose, this college is good.

It is good if you don't want to study and gain marks, but I won't recommend anyone to join here.
Placements: There are no placements, and you can't expect a job after getting a BCA degree from this college. They never teach modern things, and they only teach old things. I suggest better doing BA and be an IAS officer. Salary packages are not offered here.
Infrastructure: Nothing is available here, and they just give excuses. The campus is better in comparison to other colleges in Prayagraj, and only a few students are good. You can manage a private PG or hostel if you have enough money. Our college won't provide a hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are neither helpful nor qualified. I think two of them don't even have a system, and they are teaching in the IT sector. Faculty members are the worst. It is better to pursue B.Sc, CS or IT so that you can at least save your money. I suggest not to opt for this college unless you got low marks. They taught the whole C language in a hurry and asked the question which even they can't answer. If their set paper is given to them, they can never solve it.
Other: This college would be a waste of money if you didn't get a government scholarship.
