The infrastructure is poor, but placements for the computer science and mechanical streams are good.

Placements: The placements for our batch were quite good when compared to the senior batch. Almost 75% of the students were placed through on-campus placements. The highest salary package offered was 10 LPA and the lowest salary offered was 2.25 LPA. None of the students were offered internships from the college.

GB Pant government engineering college - A government Tag only?

Placements: Placements for our college are much lower than the expectations from a government. College. Although few good companies visited our campus but the total intake capacity of placements for our batch remained upto 15 to 20 out of batch of roughly 90 students. The highest package was approximately 6.5 LPA CTC. The companies include Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Infosys, Tata AIG, etc. Are few major companies visited our campus.

I am really disappointed with this college.

Placements: Placements in our college are not reliable. According to the head of our training and placement cell, performance of students in the exams conducted for placements and interviews has been decreasing. Around 30-40% of the students from various branches got placed last year. Some good companies like Maruti, Infosys and Godrej visit our campus for placements. The average package offered is around Rs. 3.5-4 LPA. In 2016, 17 students were hired at Infosys. The students who got an internship through c...

GB Pant Engineering College - average review.

Placements: First batch completed college with 150% placement, but after that, it is always decreasing. Till 2015, some companies have blacklisted the college from placements due to lack of basic amenities. Sometimes, Infosys visits but selects very few students on random basis. Right now, confirm is very poor with regard to placements.

GGPEC is a bad choice, don't take admission here.

Placements: The placements for MAE students are limited. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Wipro, Elmex, Piston and Rings visit the college. The placements for ECE and CSE are also limited, few companies visit our campus. Companies like Infosys, AIG, etc., visited the college. More companies are coming nowadays.

Excellent faculty, poor infrastructure and placements, excellent technical labs.

Placements: The placements scenario is not good. Only one core company for mechanical and automation visits every year. This company is Maruti Suzuki which places 5 to 6 students in their core department. Infosys and Godrej also visited in 2017 with mediocre CTC offers. The highest package was offered by Maruti Suzuki which was around Rs. 5.8 LPA. The lowest package was offered by Infosys which was Rs. 2.8 LPA. There is a training and placement cell in the college which provides training regarding the aptit...

Some facts about G.B. Pant Engineering College, Okhla.

Placements: In terms of placement in ECE branch, there is very disappointing because for ECE. No core company will come to placed students. Few companies come with an IT background, so, unfortunately, students familiar with some programming language. Only, mechanical department placement cell is the best in this college.

The college is not too bad nor too good.I would rate it 5/10.

Placements: The placement here in ECE totally depends on the coding skills, if you can code, then you can clear any written test. Companies do visit, but that does not guarantee placements as one needs to work on coding. Core companies do not visit, so the students rely more on the GATE score than the college's, in order to get placed in core companies.

Poor infrastructure with decent experience of culture and study.

Placements: The college is mediocre in terms of placement, and a few telecom company visited our campus. In the previous year, Infosys visited the campus, and about 17 students are selected from CSE. If you have no other better option other than this college, then only join this college. If you are a self-learner, then come and explore your talent in this college.

Just satisfied with the faculty, not with all. The labs are good but small campus was the main issue

Placements: CSE placements are good. They were not that good for mechanical students during my time, but it depends on the TPO. If he/she is good, companies will be there. It also depends on the students how they perform and how active they are. Companies like Maruti, Honda, Godrej, etc. come here most of the time. So, one can grab the opportunity if he or she is good, but they take 5 students each. Rest, depends on the person's calibre.

The college is good. It's the best college for mechanical in IPU.

Placements: The placements are neither too good, nor too bad. The percentage of placements is 50-60%, which is increasing year by year. The maximum package is about 7.68 lakhs per annum. Companies Like Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha Motors, Godrej, Infosys and many more come for recruitment. More companies are contacted every year.

Not a good college for overall growth of student.

Placements: Placement is below average. Only about 60-70 students got placed last year, main companies that visit every year are Infosys, Maruti, GODREJ, and that's it. The average salary is around 3-4 lakh. Infosys comes as a mass recruiter and takes around 20-30 students. Most of the students prepare for GATe examinations. No companies visit for internships.

Old glory lost due to internal conflicts.

Placements: Honestly speaking, the training and placement department of the college is not very active as the number of companies which visited our college is just one or two. Unlike previous years, mass recruiters like Infosys did not come to our college for placements although we were invited to some other college for Infosys placements, where the chances were minimal. Only one company Yamaha visited our college in the month of August-September and only one student out of a batch of 180 odd students was s...

Average placement, bad infrastructure.

Placements: Placement is okay for mechanical branch. 15 out of 70 students are placed in my batch. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Tata AIG, Infosys came for campus placement. The highest package is offered by Maruti Suzuki of Rs. 6.5 lac and lowest by Infosys of Rs.3.25 lac per annum. The companies offer the role of an engineer as well as in management. The college doesn't provide any internship on its campus. But sometimes some workshops were organised for the students. ...

Not very satisfactory as expected from any government college of any state.

Placements: Placements also depend upon individual's potential. But few branches get 80% placements every year(CS, ECE, etc). The government companies like BEL, Railways, etc. also visit for placements. Other MNCs like Wipro, Honda, and other companies also visit for the placements. But companies like Honda and Adobe do not visit every year. They come every alternative year.

Satisfied because of highly qualified professors.

Placements: Placement is not very good for my batch, but it was better for senior batch where around 30% students got placed. The highest package was of 5.8 lakh whereas the lowest package was 3.25 lakhs. Maruti, Godrej, Yamaha, Infosys, Trauson and Striker, Arvato Bertelsmann, Tata Aig, etc. companies visited for placement drive.

Lacking infrastructure but quality education.

Placements: The placement ratio has decreased this year as compared to the previous one. The only company visited in this academic year is Infosys for the CSE branch. 30 students were eligible for the test out of which 17 got placed in Infosys. The declining placement rate may be due to the unemployment factor, or it may be the ignorance of our training and the placement department of the college.

A good college but yet to develop.

Placements: This college is good for placements in the IT sector only. Most of the students of my batch were placed IT industry, specifically Infosys which visits the campus every year. Overall, the placement was about 80%. There were also placements in the automotive industry for students of mechanical and automation engineering. The companies that visited the campus especially for the MAE branch are Honda, Maruti and Godrej industries.

The college is situated in South Delhi in the industrial area of Okhla. The college campus is not very big and has one academic block with a workshop and a small front yard where students used to play cricket and other college functions are organised. The TNP department is working to call a number of companies but still we are getting the older ones which include MSIL, Honda, Godrej, Infosys, Tata AIG, and a few others. So by the end of the session, around 30-35% of the students get campus recru...
