Good college and staff, but management is the worst.

Placements: Only a few companies visit the campus for CSE. Last year in 2017, they also conducted open campus drive, but almost all companies were from BPO profile. I got placed by my own as DBA, Only 2-3 out of 70 CSE students got placed through campus placements. You have to look outside the campus for your placement.

Infrastructure: The college has great Infrastructure, Good Computer labs with ubuntu and windows OS. Great classrooms but no AC in classrooms. The hostel is great. The food served is very good. Gym, indoor and outdoor games are available. Fields all around the college. The college has greenery and peaceful environment. Overall great infrastructure.

Faculty: Few teachers are very good and motivating, but few teachers are doing masters in the same college, so they don't bother about syllabus and classes. In CSE, We had about 8 teachers including 1 HOD and 7 assistant professors. Few were good few were bad. You have to learn on your own, and I guess that's what engineering is.

Other: When I took admission, they conducted great annual fest in 2013 and 2014, but in 2015 and 2016 they did nothing. A lot of extra-curricular activities are there like wall graffiti, and I participated in this every year.

There is a school type environment. There are no creative ideas.

Placements: Intercollege placements were not that good especially in computer science and engineering department. If by mistake, any company visits, then it was just for formality as the packages they were offering was not very good. I guess placement environment was tensed and bad.

Infrastructure: The building is good but doesn't look like a college. No extra activities or creative thoughts were appreciated. You just need to attend college lecture. A special task force teachers were appointed who roam throughout the college to find bunkers, that is not cool at all. Nobody enjoyed studying there. The labs were good, Wi-Fi was available, and classrooms were neat. Nobody played any sport in 4 years of the college on the college ground, and if they tried to play, then the next day they were dealing with HODs.

Faculty: The teachers were well qualified and with good experience and knowledge. The teaching quality was brilliant. Old school methods were used. Neither creative nor nothing new methods were used to teach. The student to faculty ratio was 70:1. In our class, the industry exposure was there, but not very good. It was very bad.

Other: No events were conducted. No creative methods were used. The campus was pathetic. The crowd was not very good. I was also a part of it, as I'm living in Mumbai now, I know that crowd was not very good for the college environment. The scholarships were still good. No extracurricular activities are provided.

A very good college with good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placement is very good in this college and Indian Army also visits the college for selections. The average package offered to students till 2014 was 10000 -15000 per month. I am not sure of the current placements. 100% students got the internship and the stipend varies from company to company. I did an internship in Videocon Telecom and Infosys. Now, I am currently working in TCS.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in this college. There are good labs, Wi-Fi, classrooms and the library. Good hostel facilities are also available and I had never faced any issues related to infrastructure. The library has all the books that you could think that you are going need them throughout your engineering tenure. You can also visit the library on college holidays for studies.

Faculty: The faculty team is very knowledgeable, well-experienced and very helpful. They personally take care that students understand the course topics. They focus not only on the metal development of the student but also takes care of the overall development of students. Top ranks in the university were also held by the college students.

Poor placements, average faculty, good hostel and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements of GIMT are very poor. Our senior batch had a placement of about 5%. They compel engineers to go for the BPO job or the job of the tutor in campus placements. Our batch also has a poor campus placement. Only 4 of my classmates got placed in campus placements and 2 of them did not join because of the small salary package (around 10,000 per month). However, the highest package this year was 20,000 per month in the college placement (offered by Space-India) but it was the job of a tutor. The lowest stipend offered was 7,000 per month (by a startup company in Delhi). This college just shows that students got placed, but they do not show that they were placed as a BPO or an educator/teacher (not as an engineer).

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is very poor in this college. In the world of 4G, they provide a 2G-like connection that is only available for laptop devices. They do not provide any Wi-Fi facility for mobile devices. Classrooms are clean and nice. Benches, window, boards are all average. They do not provide A.C classrooms and do not provide good support and surroundings for the sportspersons. Computers in the labs are very old. However, they are fine to work on. Labs are fully air-conditioned. Hostel rooms and mess are also well-maintained and are in a good condition. The canteen is very poor and the food available is not worth to spend money, but we have to eat it because there is no other resource.

Faculty: The faculty team is not very knowledgeable and qualified. But there are many teachers that are potentially good in teaching and they try to help a lot to guide students. I did not get any industry exposure, not any internship. I just had a paid summer training and a poor college life. Teachers try to threaten students for internal marks and do not emphasise on practical knowledge and implementation. Teaching methods are not very impressive. There are still some teachers in GIMT who try to explain each topic to students and put their best for the student's development. The student to faculty ratio is also not good. Many teachers have to teach more than 2 subjects (not having any expertise on those subjects). Strictness is necessary for students but up to a certain limit. Students here feel tortured and do not praise their college. The course curriculum was not very useful but it is provided by the board, our college is not responsible for this. Overall, faculty members and teaching are below the average mark in this college.

Other: If they replace some arrogant teachers with good and high qualified ones and provide better placements, they can at least be able to reach the average mark. The college is also situated in an area that is far away from the city, so we do not even get good facilities outside the college. They need to provide some freedom to their students and internal marks should not only rely on assignments, attendance and theory but it should also include practical knowledge of the students.

Other: One of the best institutes for graduation in Kurukshetra. Affiliated to KUK, Kurukshetra. The campus is not very big but has good infrastructure. Good placements for CSE and ME students.
