Satisfied with the teaching and I was not satisfied with the placements.

Placements: Placements were decreased for my batch (2013-2017) when compared with my seniors. Only in the Vizag campus, we were left with 600 students to be placed, who were eligible for the placements. The highest package was offered by Microsoft at around 10 lakhs per annum and 14 students of the CSE department got placed. In Mu Sigma, 7 students got placed with the package of 21 lakhs for three years. Actually, it is a bond for three years. In Deloitte, 24 students got placed and the package is 6.2 lakhs...

Not completely satisfied because of the lack of application-oriented approach.

Placements: I feel that the placements aren't organized fair enough for everyone. There is a restriction of a maximum of one placement per person. If such is the restriction, they should be organized in such a way that companies with high package attend the campus for recruitment first followed by lower package ones. But, it is all random.

Join GITAM if you want to gain knowledge.

Placements: The placement was not up to the mark. For the 2017 pass out batch, the placement percentage is around 70% but it is less compared to our previous batch. Microsoft offered the highest package at around 10 lakhs/annum. The lowest package is around 2.5 lakhs/annum and the average salary package is around 3.5 lakhs/annum. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, Ram Group, Deloitte and much more came for recruitments. Some students were selected as an IT Analyst, some for business related jobs, and a...

A university for only IT aspirants but not for core interested students.

Placements: GITAM University has a great placement record of placing the maximum number of its students. The campus offers only IT jobs. Coming to core jobs, it does not provide any core jobs. If one needs to get placed in core job, it is not recommended to get admission in our university.

GITAM- The university of excellence.

Placements: GITAM University is well-known for its campus recruitments. This year, almost 95% members got placed in most MNCs like TCS, Accenture, Deloitte, Microsoft. TCS and Accenture are heavy recruiters in GITAM. Microsoft gave a package of 14 lakhs and Deloitte gave 8 lakhs. Coming to the base salary, 3.5 lakhs is for all companies. The whole placement will be controlled by our placement officer named Gurumuthy sir. He strives very hard to get all the students placed.

Great placements and infrastructure, can do better in overall student experience.

Placements: The one thing that makes GITAM stand out from the colleges in Vizag is that almost 80-90% are either placed or go for higher studies. The training and placement office brings in a lot of IT companies and some core companies as well. The salary packages vary from 3 lakhs PA to 18 lakhs PA and most of the students are placed in TCS and Accenture for around 3-3.5 lakhs PA. Recently, the TPO is also considering inviting companies to hire 3rd-year students for internships. ...

A good college to study in.

Placements: Though the intake of students increased for our batch, the placements also increased. There are 60% students who were interested in campus placements and remaining 40% are planning for higher studies. Among those 60%, a total of 85-90% students were placed. The highest salary was offered by Microsoft at 10 lpa, the lowest salary offered was 3 lpa. The average salary offered was 5 lpa. Most of the students, which were the cream of the college, were placed in TCS. After it, companies such as Acce...

Good academics but lacks in placements.

Placements: Placements are pretty good for software courses, but when courses are concerned like mechanical and civil, placements are too hard to achieve as there are limited opportunities in the core stream. About 50% of the total strength got placed and the average salary ranges from 3 LPA to 2.5 LPA, and the highest salary is 8 LPA offered by Virtusa. Software Developer roles are the major roles in which students got opportunities. Internships are not the responsibility of our university, so the students...

Placements: Placements were good. All the eligible students were placed in more than one renowned companies. Most of the roles offered were development, testing and business analyst. The least package started from 3 LPA. Most of the students didn't get an internship through college placements but the people who got were offered a stipend of 15k per month.

Nice college to improve your skills.

Placements: Here, the placement records are quite good. Many companies visit our college. It all depends on one's performance to get a job. We should not have any backlogs in order to attend any company selection process and our CGPA must be above 6.5 points (minimum). Companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, Mu-sigma, TCS, Accenture, Tech Mahindra, Sirius Solutions, Kewill, Crimson Logic, Decathlon and many other conduct their drives here to select students across the branches. Placements: The placements in our batch were low as compared to the previous batch. In the previous batch, almost 90% of them got placements even though they had backlogs. But in my batch, only 50% got placed. The average salary offered was 30k. TCS hired 30% of the students. Placements: As far as I know, the placements in 2016 for our college were good. 70-75% of students were placed and the highest and lowest salaries in 2016 are 18 lakhs and 3.5 lakhs per annum. Accenture, TCS, Deloitte, Google and some other companies visited our campus. Almost all students did their internships.

A minimum salary of 3 lakhs per annum is there if you get selected. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Wipro and Amazon come. Associate software engineer, business analyst and software trainee are posts that are offered. 20% students get internships from the college. A good university to get placed in software companies (only). If you need knowledge and not a job.

Placements: Our college is good in convincing students in joining software companies. Almost everyone who opts for software companies will get placed for sure. Major recruiters are Tata consultancy services, Accenture, etc., But none of our batch mates got placed in any core (construction and design) companies. Average college with one student-one company notion. Good infrastructure but poor faculty.

Placements: Placements are normal. TCS, Accenture and Wipro are key companies. Companies with higher packages like Amazon and Microsoft can also come but will hire less people. The only drawback is if you got hired in one company, say TCS, then you can even attend for any other company even if it is a big company say like Amazon. Almost 90% got placed in our batch but I heard less people got hired this time due to increase in students.

Placements: Everyone with good academics will be placed. This year, Microsoft, Deloitte and Mu Sigma visited the campus. TCS and Accenture recruit in large numbers every year, and more than 100 people got a package of 6 lacs per annum. The maximum number of people will be placed in the IT sector itself.
