GITAM university first in the placements and good in infrastructure.

Placements: The placements for our seniors are well and 100% placements if no backlogs were present for the students. Many good companies comes to the college like product based companies like Amazon, Microsoft, etc. and many other companies. Every batch is trained well to attend their tests in the placement.

The college is crowd with students, but it has good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The placements have been going on well, about 70-75 percent of the qualified candidates are placed, and going on still, whereas for our senior batch placements quite good and better than us because, every year number of students joining in Gitam are increasing. Gitam management is responsible for this (for their own business). We have the highest package of 12.5 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. We have placements from MNC companies and maximum of the companies are IT based. If anyone is passionate a...

Its a good college use it wisely. They will only provide the multiple placement opportunities.

Placements: For my batch, it is bad luck. Because every year TCS will come as a 3rd placement company. But it came as the 1st placement company so that all the above average students got selected and the remaining companies took only the stuffed candidates. That's the blunder which occurred during my final year. TCS will take below average students as they have a requirement for previous years students which have not occurred in my year, as they reached their requirement.

This is not the place to learn new things.

Placements: Most of you will be get placed in TCS or Accenture, but only some will get chance to get placed in good companies such as Service Now, FactSet, and Deloitte. Don't worry, most of them will get placed but with less package such as 3.14 lacs per annum. Only, 20-40% of the students can get good packages.

Disstaisfied about the some of the faculty members who work only for money not for students.

Placements: The placements are good. In my batch, about 660 students are present for the placements, out of which nearly 450 of them are placed. Most of them are placed in TCS and Accenture, and the remaining are to be placed. The students should maintain minimum CGPA of 6 and with no backlogs. Nearly 40 companies have visited our college, till now the highest package is 12 lakhs per annum, but only one student placed in that package.

Expectations vs reality of GITAM University.

Placements: On a percentage basis, I would say around 45 to 50% were placed. The eligibility for students was no backlogs. TCS and Mu Sigma only have allowed students with 2 backlogs. However, for Mu Sigma, only 4 to 6 were placed. Our senior batch had almost same placement percentage as ours with no much difference indeed. The highest package was 6LPA. The companies that visited are Mu Sigma, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Tech Mahindra. The basic associate level was offered to the students placed. Inter...

Good infrastructure with average people (management, faculty, students).

Placements: The placements for our batch were average. The highest salary offered was 5.5 LPA by L&T, and the lowest was by 3.2 LPA by TCS. The companies that visited were L&T, TCS, Wipro etc. In the core companies, we were offered roles of site engineer. 20% of the people got an internship through college, and the remaining people got chances by their own. No stipend was offered. There is a placement cell.

Satisfied with everything the institution offered but dissatisfied with the placements.

Placements: Honestly, there was not a single core company for placement drive. Most of the members opted for the IT jobs, and for people seeking IT job as a career, GITAM is the right place. More than 1200 IT jobs from various companies are offered. Industry exposure is felt as a part of the course, so it is easy picking anybody who has knowledge in their core subject. Even in off-campus drives, many people shined and are now are working in ace companies like Google, Microsoft etc. There is a placement cell...

A good college with all requirements, but it should concentrate on increasing the placements.

Placements: The placements are good enough. Nearly, from ECE 250+ out of 360 students have been placed in various multinational companies like TCS, HCL, Wipro, and Google. But in 2013, there was fairly less number of recruitments than its previous years. That was due to the economic slowdown, H1B1 visa issues and automation effect.

GITAM, a place to learn a lot in all aspects.

Placements: CSE, ECE and IT branches will have more placements compared to core branches like mechanical, civil and EEE. These will have fewer placements in core companies, but these branches also have a chance to go some IT companies. More than 70% students got selected, but it is relatively low compared to the previous academic year. The minimum offered is Rs. 200,000 per annum and the maximum offered is Rs. 800,000. It is not the best but good one. The college has good placements, faculty and infrastructure.

Placements: The placement in our college has increased to around 20 percent as in our final year there was this Trump rejection of the master's programme, so people started working and concentrated on placement. The lowest and the highest salary offered are 3.3 and 10 lacs per annum respectively. TCS, Accenture, Aveva, Deloitte, Microsoft, Decathlon, Maruti Suzuki, Tata advanced Systems etc., visited the college. The minor was from TCS and Accenture for the software engineer roles. Placements: I'm still studying in 3rd year, and my seniors got placed in many companies like TCS, Accenture etc., the highest package was 12-15L, the lowest package is 2-3L, most of the students got the internship in companies like Microsoft with the stipend of approx 5000rs. 30-40% of students get stipend when they go for internships. And 40-50% get placed if they have specific CGPA.

This year, I am dissatisfied because of the faculty, not all the faculty but some are the worst.

Placements: Coming to the placements, the batch of 2014-16 has achieved 100% placement. Approximately 40 recruiters visited the campus for recruiting the students of GIM. In terms of a number of placements offered, Tata Services Ltd. was the top recruiter across the clusters having picked 8 students from the campus followed by TCS hiring 7 students.

Really good placements, decent faculty and great infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are very good for Gitam University. Indeed, many students join the Gitam University because they are assured of a placement. TCS is a mass recruiter on our campus, they pick students from all specialisations for their associate software engineer role. The best recruiter is Deloitte and Mu Sigma. Our juniors even got Microsoft for their placements. The average package offered is around 4 Lacs.

College of greenery with a good infrastructure

Placements: The placements are good on the campus. Preparing students for placements is too good. People who work hard are definitely going to be placed. It all depends on how your hard work is. Salaries were offered well in 2017 for students who got placed in good MNCs.

Dissatisfied with the teaching faculty. Placements offered by the college were very good in 2016.

Placements: They show us many opportunities. Grabbing the correct opportunity will be helpful for us and is our responsibility too. The placement office will guide us from the starting to till you get placed. My seniors batch also had a high placement ratio. They bring very well named companies to the campus for recruitments. Microsoft offered the highest package of 10 LPA, and the lowest package offered to the students was 3.4 LPA.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of the faculty.

Placements: You will be 100% placed in some or other mass recruiting multinational companies if your academics are good with no backlogs. Don’t expect placements from the core companies. I must say that the placement training provided by our college is very helpful. One disappointing point is ‘one job per one person ‘. You are not eligible to attend another interview even when it has higher package than the company you are placed in. You are not eligible to appear for placements if you are aiming for higher...

Placements: The placements were good enough with respect to an individuals performance. The percentage of placements were good though. There were a lot of opportunities to get into. Most of my friends got placed who were good at studying but not bearing high CGPA. So the bottom line is the placements were purely based on talent but not on marks basis.

There is no exposure to the outer world and no support to other activities.

Placements: Our college was presently lacking with the placements. In the past, our seniors were placed for the sake of the name, but all were fake. No one has got the call letters. The students will only have to search for the internships, but for those internships, the students have to pay them to get the certificates and gain the knowledge. No one has got the internship, but the management is promising to bring good recruiters to our batch.
