Here is a personal experience and a tip for students.

Placements: About 60% of students from my batch were placed. The highest salary package offered was 16 LPA, the average salary package offered was 5 LPA. And the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies during the recession period included TCS, Deloitte, and Accenture. Students were given the choice of a free virtual internship via Eduskills or a paid offline or online internship through Phoenix Global, Hyderabad. An online internship costs around Rs. 5,000, while the online option ...

Review of Visakhapatnam Best Deemed University.

Placements: About placements in our college, they are pretty average this year. Due to the recession, very few companies attended, and those that did had an average offer of around 3-4 LPA. The highest offer was around 12 LPA. The percentage of students who got offers was also very low, around 60%. Almost all of the placements for all branches were in technical fields, and in non-technical fields, placements were near to zero. In Gitam, unlike other colleges, we don't get any internship opportunities within...

I suggest not to join as it is not value for money which is 3 lacs for B.Tech.

Placements: 70% of the students placed and the highest package is 40 Lacs for 3 years and the lowest package is 2.25 LPA and companies like cognizant, wipro, tcs, adobe etc. will recruit.

Absolutely dissatisfied with faculty.

Placements: Around 60% people get placed in the campus. The highest package is around 15lacs and the lowest package is around 2.5lacs. Very less people gets internships in ECE department of our college. All departments has to attend only for the software jobs only in the campus.

Excellent infrastructure, Average faculty and placement.

Placements: Although the college is known for 100% placement but, that's a trap. Does not know on what basis they select candidates. Even toppers fail to crack interview sometimes. Every interview has aptitude test to filter students where most of the good students fail to clear aptitude sometimes.

Our college us not worth for the fee paid and it is worst than private colleges.

Placements: The percentage of M.Tech students got placed through campus placements was zero. Don't expect placement through this campus while joining in M.Tech course in any specialisation in this deemed university. They are also not assigning proper projects to students during the second year. They are just copying journals. There is no chance of gaining practical knowledge during the course.

I am dissatisfied with GITAM because of faculty members who don't encourage students.

Placements: About 60% of the students got placed as there was mass recruitment. Many students got jobs. The highest salary package of 11 LPA and the lowest salary package of 2.8 LPA and the average salary package of 3.6 LPA are offered to students of the CSE department. The college lacks neatness in the hostel, experienced teachers and core placements.

Placements: Around 60% of the students got placed in our department. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. TCS, Accenture and Delloite were the top recruiters for our course. It is a fair and good college for placements but do not expect core companies because hardly one or two core companies come for recruitment.

Only satisfied with the infrastructure.

Placements: Placements in the college are good in terms of numbers, but they are very less in terms of returns to cost. There will be a company which recruits almost 75% of students and rest of the people will be placed in some small companies whose names you haven't even heard off.

The college is not bad as the placements and faculty members are good.

Placements: The placements in the college are very good. Companies like TCS, Accenture, HCl, Mu Sigma, Parryware, Microsoft, Google, etc., visit the campus to hire the students. Approximately 95% of the passed out students got placed in the campus placements. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, and the lowest offered was 2.5 LPA. I'm not satisfied with labs.

Placements: The placements in our department are few compared to other the departments. They are decreasing year by year. Students are not improving as per technology. Still, they are following the old syllabus, but in placements, they had to talk about new technology. So, most of the students are unaware of the outside world technology.

My view of Gitam University is, It was a super college to read, gain knowledge and enjoy.

Placements: Accenture, Tata consultancy services, Microsoft, Verizon, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra and many more companies will come to college. College provides training for aptitude. We have more chances to crack job. We should write cocubes exam conducted by college, by which we can try for off campus jobs too.

Placements: Placements are good, in our year out of 2045 students around 1400 were placed, packages are of range from 2lpa to 12lpa average package is of 3 LPA, 540 students were recruited by TCS and 384 by Accenture, rest of the companies recruited 600 students. Placement cell is good but the problem here is if you got a placement offer in a company you can't attend any other campus interview, for example, if you were selected by TCS (package: 3.5 LPA ) then you can't attend the upcoming companies, so wha...

Placements: There is no core placements for our batch (2012-2016), only 4 software company (TCS, Accenture, Tech mahendra) accsepeted civil engineering students for placements and around 120 civil students 40 placed TCS and Accenture. Good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Placements are good. Most students will be placed in MNC's like TCS, ACCENTURE, Tech Mahindra etc. For 3.3-3.5lpa very few students get chance to be placed in Deloitte, Microsoft, NSR etc. For 5-6lpa Anyways approximately 70% students got placed. The students who were placed will be working as a Associate system engineers. For our senior batch also the same case has happened.

Only for CSE department. If you want to join CSE no problem at all.

Placements: No placements at all for mechanical, civil engineering. Not even one core company. Till now we have waited for the companies to come. And our staff managed it till the end of the semester and now it's nothing. The worst record of mechanical placements. My request is to not join the college for mechanical engineering or civil engineering. Only for computer Science engineering there are some placements it's some what better. But for mechanical and civil zero placements.
