Quality infrastructure, good faculty, just average for placements.
Placements: During our passing year (2014), the companies were not giving good packages (such as AirSoft, A2IT etc. which were offering Rs. 6000 pm salary or stipend which is nothing even for freshers). Huawei was the only success provider for students. HR from TCS and HERO Cycles came to give lectures rather than providing internship(s) or job(s) and the very next day college advertisement came in the newspaper that these companies came to college, making people believe these came for recruitment. Even Indian Army came to our college and shortlisted a few students, then nothing happened. I guess it was like prank with students or army people forgot or something. Basically, college placement cell was not very effective in giving a good start. But as I heard that in 2016 the placement drive was very good and students got placed well (my junior friends were among them). The guidance of placement was not up to the mark, which should be the key factor in any college. But placement cell did improve its level year by year. So I guess in Amritsar it would be second in terms of placing students after GNDU. By the way about 70%+ colleges are the same or even worse in placements.
Infrastructure: Well, the infrastructure is good. Every classroom is very well furnished (marbled benches and good quality chairs) and has 2 ACs (though sometimes they don't work, but its resolved ultimately). The college has a clean and tidy environment, greenness is there, it is cleaned regularly- daily apparently. It has good sports facilities, though I warn you college does not show much interest in sports, neither gives much support. The college's infrastructure is growing year by year and also improving.
Faculty: Well, the faculty is the same everywhere. There are good elements and bad elements everywhere (and by elements I mean staff members). Teachers were supportive and encouraging and there were a few who actually didn't give a damn (and out of those, a few were removed immediately after the semester, means the ones giving mass backlogs to the students who were under them). Overall I would say 3.5/5 (keeping all India's faculty members in mind).
Other: just be aware of doing silly things, because college won't hesitate to put bulky fines on you for no reasons. Then again, this is everywhere as education is nothing but business in most of everywhere. College is growing area-wise as well as in academics (it's adding courses year by year). Rumour is that in the next few years, it will become a recognised university, which actually looks possible to me.
