Complete review of Gopalan college.
Placements: The college hostel and placements are very good. Placements are the best at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management. Bangalore is the IT hub of India, and Whitefield is the main sector. Gopalan has its center at this place, so every company is nearby, like TCS, Microsoft, Capgemini; everybody comes to our college. The placement manager guides us on how to crack our placement aptitude tests, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and hostel are very good in Gopalan College. We have a vast campus, a canteen, and a hostel with very clean, hygienic rooms. The warden is very close to everybody and treats everyone like her children. In the library, we have every book from every department, and we also have other books which are not needed for our department, like value education books, which help us to read faster and give us motivation.
Faculty: Gopalan College is a VTU college that follows VTU rules and regulations, and question papers come from VTU. Gopalan College conducts 3 internals, and they select the best two out of three, based on the marks the students have scored. If you don't get the proper average marks, we have improvement tests so that we can get our CIE marks properly, and we are eligible for the exam. They also consider attendance; if we have less attendance, we cannot write our exams.
Other: In Gopalan College, we have monthly Freshers' events. We have weekly club activities; one week is technical, and another is non-technical. We have a photography club where we can learn camera handling and extracurricular activities, like sports, etc.

I will definitely recommend this college.
Placements: Most of the students were placed in good companies with great packages. 98% of students were placed, and most of them were from CSE. IBM, Dell, Infosys, and TCS are the leading companies that come for recruitment. If utilised efficiently, it is the best college.
Infrastructure: Hostels are well-ventilated and have Wi-Fi connectivity. Labs are huge, and classrooms are very hygienic. The library has a wide collection of books that are very helpful for our reference. Hostel food is good. Sports and games must be given equal importance.
Faculty: Lecturers are well educated but are sometimes very pressuring to the students. Multiple tests and exams are conducted but with less time for preparation. The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in computer science, but I kindly request to improve the canteen food quality. Sports and games must be given equal importance. Fests and events must be conducted to avoid pressure on students. Dissatisfied because of the canteen food.

This college doesn't meet the primary requirements but has great knowledge of the course.
Placements: There are not many students who got placement here on this campus. There is career guidance and opportunities to get into the proper places through the guidance. There are not many top companies in our course. There are at least 50% of students who get internships. There are not many roles offered in my course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, with a Wi-Fi connection and a good classroom and library. It has a canteen, a football field, a cricket ground, and a tennis court. It has a separate sports building where there is badminton and so on. The medical facilities are good.
Faculty: Here, the teachers have good knowledge about the course. Their teaching is great. They help each and every student, even those who are struggling a lot in every subject. The semester exams are not that hard to pass. The pass percentage should be 18%.
Other: I chose this course because it's flexible and you can work in many fields of the IT industry. I want to improve more on the programming and practice it. The campus has recently started to host events, festivals, and club activities.

I don't recommend this college.
Placements: Many students got placed but off-campus. This is a tier-3 college, so the placements are offered with low packages. Some got placed in TCS, Wipro, Infosys, etc., but mostly off-campus. Other students are still looking for jobs.
Infrastructure: Food is the worst of all, and I don't recommend this hostel. There is Wi-Fi, but it never gives enough speed even to deliver normal messages. Girls and boys live in the same hostel building, which is the worst. The washrooms are very untidy. The washing machine doesn't work well.
Faculty: If we ask the faculty any doubt, they stop responding to us on WhatsApp. Not all teachers are good, but some are good. The faculty are not helpful to us. Some of them hold personal grudges against students, reflecting that in giving marks. They don't teach well, and they have no good knowledge.
Other: I thought Bangalore was an IT hub, so I came here. Unfortunately, I got into this college. So, I'd only recommend you try any other college but this. Plus VTU has its own mechanics and rules, which is very hectic.

The faculty members are great, but the placements in 2021 are the worst.
Placements: For my batch 2021, they were not able to provide good placements. 2-3 companies came here, and the salary was 2-3 LPA. But students got placed off-campus. Our department used to help us with information regarding those placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The classrooms are well-fully managed with smart boards, proper benches and desks. A sports ground is available for football, cricket etc. Hostel rooms are very good, but the quality of food is average. The library is digital, and you will get all the books required. Labs are nice, and all the experiments are conducted in labs according to the syllabus.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. If you have any doubt, you can contact them any time and clear it. They all are good teachers, but they will teach you only those things which are in the syllabus provided by Government University, and the syllabus doesn't make you ready for industries. For that, you have to put your own effort.

Q:   Is studying at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management expensive?

A:
  • Studying at Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (Gopalan COEM) is not very expensive, . The following are some salient details regarding the cost and accessibility of studying there:
  • The annual tuition fees for core engineering branches, such as computer science, mechanical, and civil engineering, range from 85,000 to 1 lakh. A few of the more recent branches may cost a little bit more.
  • The cost structure of this college is fairly similar to that of other reputable private engineering colleges in Karnataka. unquestionably far less than accredited or private universities.
  • Gopalan COEM provides programs to reduce tuition for students from lower-income families in addition to scholarships awarded based on merit or rank.
  • Additional institutional costs are typically nonexistent. If necessary, hostel and mess fees range from 75,000 to 90,000 per year. Since educational loans can cover 90–100% of the total cost of a program, even students from lower-class or middle-class backgrounds can afford it.
  • In summary, Gopalan COEM's fee structure is average when compared to the median annual engineering college fees in the private sector. For students in need, there are payment plans and educational loans available as well. Thus, it is not really possible to argue that studying there is too costly.

You need to have a PG course like M.Tech for Ass. Proff. in a Engg. college. After that check for the updates in the college websites in Career section and apply in some colleges. When there is a vacancy they will call you for Interview.
