The college staff is good, which is the reason I joined in this college.

Placements: Almost 20% of students got placed in our course. Few students got selected in companies with computer and IT background. There were no core companies. The highest package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest package offered was 2.8 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Reliance, TCS, Wipro, Bosch and Bajaj. Top roles offered were junior engineer or assistant. The highest package offered in our course was 4 LPA, and the lowest package offered in our course was 2.8 LPA.

It is better than a private college in terms of placements.

Placements: The college has a training and placement cell. CS/IT students get the most opportunities for placements. Companies like Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, Pratiti Technologies, NEML, etc., visit the campus for placements. Students have to find internships on their own. Companies offer a decent salary package.

It is a well-known autonomous government engineering college in the Vidarbha region.

Placements: Placements for the IT sector are good than the core sector. Many MNC visits our college, but the placements are not that satisfying. Placements for the mechanical branch are less as compared to CS branch. But good companies like Fiat, TAL, Nag, etc., visit our college for placements.

Review about Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: Placement history of the college was quite good though recently some changes happened. Mass recruiter companies visit regularly, but core companies visited were much less in number now. There was the hope of an increase in number in core companies. TCS, Cognizant, Fiat, L&T, NEML companies regularly visit the college placements. The highest package offered was 7 LPA and the lowest package offered is up to 3 LPA.

My experience was good in a college. Placements were also good for our batch.

Placements: Overall placements were good in the college, but the number of core companies visit was less. Our class strength was 72, in which almost 50 students got selected in companies like Hella Electronics Pvt Ltd, which was the only core company for electronics, Cognizant and Wipro. Four students got selected in Hella company. The average package offered was 3.5 LPA. I didn't sew any internship except TCS company. The college has a placement cell, and it works quite actively. Especially in the summer, ...

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: Placements here are absolutely good. More than 60% of the students are placed from each batch. The average salary package offered is also good, i.e., around 3.5 LPA. More than 25 companies visit here every year to hire students from our college. Core companies are a bonus for all departments in the college.

It is one of the old colleges of Maharashtra.

Placements: Placements are mostly held by mass recruiters. Almost 90-95% of the students from CS/IT department got a job. The salary package offered is 3.5-4 LPA. Several big companies visited our campus, but they usually hire 4-5 students and offer them a salary package of around 7-8 LPA. The highest salary package offered this year was 11 LPA. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA.

The college had good placements in 2018.

Placements: For my batch placement record was good, and most of the students got placed. But for our senior batch, it wasn't that good may be because of market condition. So placement condition might change every year. The average salary offered was 3 to 5 LPA. TCS, Cognizant, Wipro companies visited campus.

It is the best college for all students.

Infrastructure: There are many types of facilities available in this college as a library, canteen, medical, sports, indoor stadium, with good and clean classrooms and labs. I didn't face any infrastructure related issues during my tenure at college.

I took admission in the electronics department, which is a good field and has lots of opportunities.

Placements: In the 2015 batch, 34 students out of 150 from the electronics department got chance in placements. Approximately 25% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered by HCL is 26 LPA. The lowest of Rs. 11,000 per month and the average salary may be Rs. 20,000 per month are offered. Lots of companies visit our college for placements, but I forget some company names. However, some of them are HCL, Videocon, MK Electronics, Wipro, etc. More than 15 companies visit here for placement ...

Review of Government College of Engineering, Amravati.

Placements: There are no much placements, but surely you can get good placements if you perform well in your academics. Placements in non-core companies are good, but core branch students face difficulties to get placed that meets their expectation. Companies like Fiat, Gammon, L&T Construction visit, but they hire only a few students. The average salary package offered is about 3.5 LPA.
