B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering - Batch of 2019
Offered by Government College of Engineering, Bargur

I am satisfied with infrastructure, facilities and faculty members but not with placements in 2019.
Placements: In our college, there were less than 10 students in every batch. Now the college is changed to autonomous, so there is a high chance to place more students during placements. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month and minimum salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Students went for an internship on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is not bad because of old buildings, but it is in good condition. Laboratories have new equipment and also have Wi-Fi facilities, and the library has an internet connection. Classrooms are also very neat and clean. For girls, they have constructed a new building as a hostel, and the food served is also good. Canteen is also built in the previous year in our college. In the beginning, food was not good, but now they have improved. For basic needs, they had a stationery shop in our college, and xerox facilities, snacks and browsing are also available. There is only a water problem in our college.
Faculty: Faculty members here are highly knowledgeable, experienced, skilled and dedicated professionals. Still, they are learning more about current technology. Students must be interested to learn, volunteer and should not hesitate to ask your doubt. The course is based on Anna University syllabus.
Other: I have chosen this course because of my parents. The best thing about this course is we can go to software and hardware jobs. I wish the college to improve this course syllabus which is not according to current technology. Many scholarships are available.

Nice place to learn and achieve something new with the help of faculty and labs.
Placements: Students regularly placed in our college is at a very low percentage; only 40 percent of the class are placed. The highest package is 7 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The companies that come for placements are TCS, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, etc. The internships are arranged by our college faculty, and 90 percent of students attend those internships.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities available for students. The labs are well maintained, and students are free to use them at any time. Wi-Fi facilities are available at all times. All classrooms are equipped with smart boards, which both staff and students can use. Our library contains many books that students can access easily, and day-to-day newspapers are updated. The quality of food in our hostel is very poor. Medical facilities are available in the dispensary, but one disadvantage is that it operates only from 6 to 8 PM. The sports facilities are good in our college, and many students have received awards in the CM Trophy and Anna University journal. The sports materials and grounds are well maintained, providing a good platform for sports.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and are permanent staff selected through the Engineering TRB exam. They have a lot of knowledge and prepare students for industrial-related jobs. Semester exams are difficult to clear, and the pass percentage is 80. The course curriculum is mostly relevant.
Other: The major reason I chose this course was that it includes both software and hardware. Skills must improve, and we need more visual learning than just exams. Events are conducted occasionally (symposiums, association day, Pongal, Diwali), and students are provided with various scholarships for which they are eligible. The campus connectivity is average, and there is a low student population due to the limited number of seats provided by the government.

Almost satisfied because well knowledge Ph.D. Holders faculty and well developed laboratories.
Placements: 60 percent of students were placed. The highest package is 24 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. Being a government college, many companies came for placements, including Infosys, HCL, Zogo, etc. 60 percent of the students were placed on campus, and core-side placements are high.
Infrastructure: Each department has its own building on the campus, and there is a separate building for the library. The canteen is average-level, and the food in the hostel is also average-level. The laboratories are excellent in every department. Each department has many laboratory facilities, and the college has good infrastructure.
Faculty: The teachers are Ph.D. holders, experienced, and well-knowledgeable. The course curriculum is well-planned and helpful for becoming industry-ready. The semester exams are a little tough to clear; 70 percent of students will pass the exam, and the exams are very useful.
Other: I like the course, so I chose this course. The symposium is conducted once yearly, and the enjoyment is less; it can be improved.
