GECB Baran, Rajasthan
First Engineering college of Baran.
Placements: This college does not provide any placement service. You have to find jobs by yourself
Internship is compulsory and every student have to do internship by itself
Saras Dairy in Kotak Rajasthan is main industry for internship for agricultural engineering students of GECB.
Infrastructure: Classroom is good but library is not proper setup
You only get course book from there no room for study
Hostel facilities is not there
Mess and canteen not in campus
Medical facilities not there
Sports, you want to play buy your game kit yourself
Games not allowed to play in college time.
Faculty: Teachers was helpful, but not qualified
My AG Eng faculty is only B.Teach pass even not M.Teach
Teaching is kind average. Course curriculum is according to IIT Kharagpur. Semester exams are easy but exams center are out of college
For end term 40 percent is passing marks combined of internal and external.
Other: My batch is first batch.

There is lack of placements. Overall, I am dissatified with this college.
Placements: There were no campus placements. The college didn't have a principal. The management was run by a professor only. They didn't have enough faculty members to teach. Some students got jobs on their own. In agricultural engineering, they didn't provide internships and training.
Infrastructure: GECB did not have its own building till 2022. It was run by Government Polytechnic College. Labs were not available. Hostel facility was not available. Food, medical, and sports facilities were not available. They don't allow you to play with your own bat, ball, or badminton racket. Smart classes were also not available.
Faculty: Lecturers were not good enough. Teachers were helpful, but the management was in the wrong person's hands. He was not a principal but still, he managed the college. There were no permanent faculty members. Teachers were guest faculty. They were new to the teaching field. Thus, students had to be calm even if they didn't understand the teaching.
Other: Agricultural engineering course is one of the most demanding courses nowadays.

I am completely disappointed with our college in everything like faculty, facilities, sports, etc.
Placements: None of the students got placed from agricultural engineering. Salary packages are not offered in agricultural engineering course because none of the companies showed interest to offer placements in our college. Only 5 students got internships from agricultural in Sara Dairy and Kotak.
Infrastructure: The most important thing here is if you want to pass in B.Tech in agricultural, you have to study on your own because there are no facilities for agricultural students. There are no books, teachers, practical labs, library and online courses for them. Even there is no permanent classroom for agricultural students and also no practical room. Wi-Fi facilities may be provided in future. There is no hostel facility, and all students stay for rents. There are no medical facility, canteen and mess facilities.
Faculty: There is only one teacher in agricultural who teaches all subjects, and sometimes teachers are helpful in a few subjects but not in all. Teachers are qualified B.Tech in agriculture, and they have knowledge of their particular subject. The agricultural course curriculum is not relevant, and it doesn't make students industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in agricultural, and in future, there is much scope for it. The best thing about my subject is it makes students study without facilities like teachers or books. I suggest our college to improve teachers and library and also provide scholarships for all students. Our college organises events, fest and tour to other colleges. It conducts extracurricular activities with other colleges.
