I don't wish to say more about faculty. Placements are good in past years

Placements: Approximately 40% students are placed. Many companies visited our college campus. The highest salary is approximately 4 lacs/year and the minimum is approximately 1.5 lacs/year offered. Many students got the internship in big companies like L&T, Essar, Tata, Jindal, etc. Most of the students were offered a trainee engineer post at each company.

Government Engineering College of Gandhinagar can be called good.

Placements: A very good opportunity for engineering students. In our college, big companies like Yokogawa, Nissan, etc. come for placement interviews. It is a huge opportunity for the students to get a good package but limited students can apply as per CGPA criteria. No backlogs should be there for placement.

Good infrastructure and facilities, etc.

Placements: The placement is nearly average in our college and big companies did not come here. Only small companies come for visit and companies are Argusoft, TCS, etc. Till now, a total of 8 companies visited and 220 students have appeared, but only 14 are selected. The highest salary offered was 28500/annum and the average salary is about 20300/ annum.

Awesome memories of college life at Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar

Placements: No placements were started at that time. But nowadays, the placement cell is very active and around 35-40 students get placed. The salary offered is average and local companies have visited more than MNCs. They offered roles like QA and developers. Some also offered a role in R&D departments. I am not sure about the stipend.

Good infrastructure and faculty but poor placement.

Placements: Placements should not be on your mind if you come to this college. Very few students were placed, approximately 10-15 out of 120. Even out of these, only 3/4 were placed in a good company like Wipro or TCS. Rest were placed in local engineering firms with a salary of around rupees 7k-12k. Others had to find a job on their own. Most of them got a job within 6 months. Internships are not an integral part of the curriculum. Very few students got training in Gujarat electricity board, and a few oth...

Our college is one of the best examples of "Dream big. Start small. Act now"

Placements: There is a very good scope for the campus placements since years, especially for the CS, IT students and also for the other departments. More than 60 students only from the computer science department have the opportunity to be selected on-campus every year. And the company gives the good packages to the students. The students get the opportunity to get selected in one of the companies like Infochips, Quick heal, IBM, L&T, Infotech, Tata, Argusoft, Tech Mahindra, etc., according to their skill.

Nice infrastructure and good location.

Placements: The placement rate is average but not so bad because companies like TCS, Argusoft and QuickHeal are visiting. Many students are placed. The average salary is 2.9 lakh. Generally, a 7 CGPA is necessary to sit in placements. The eligibility criterion is decided by companies. All notices about placements are declared on notice boards and students are informed via email.

Average in terms of placements and learning. Best in terms of fees and facilities.

Placements: There were no placements at all. The students were trying their luck in off-campus drives. After 2013 batch, there were some cases of placements but hardly 2-3 companies came. Generally, it's a regional college so you cannot expect the TPO to do some sort of work. Students have to try on their own. In the city, many companies are present but the TPO is so irresponsible, he will never approach any single company.

Good infrastructure, moderate facilities but knowledgeable faculty.

Placements: Placement in GEC Gandhinagar is moderate. In Instrumentation & Control department, companies like L&T, Essar, Yokogawa, TCS and many more recruit the students. Annual package offered ranges from 2 to 3.5 lakh. Many other companies such as Quick Heal, eInfochips, Tech Mahindra, Argusoft are the major visitors and recruiting companies of the campus.

GECG has the best and the worst in everything.

Placements: Out of 10 for campus placement, I would give 4, ie below average. Out of 63 students, about 5 students got jobs from college placements. Companies like Essar oil and gas, Flowchem forging, Nawal cast, Hi-con castings came for campus recruitment. Students were appointed for quality control, process control, melting supervisor, etc Salary offered per annum ranged from a maximum of 3.36 lakhs to a minimum of 1.5 lakhs.

Best Infrastructure and resources but utilization of resources is not much good.

Placements: For my senior students, the placement was very good. Salary ranging from Rs. 2 lacs per annum to Rs. 4.5 lacs per annum was offered. Many companies including TCS, Argusoft, TatvaSoft, eInfochips, Quixom etc. visited the campus. As per ability of the student, 3 to 6 month internship or direct placement as developer or designer is offered. Only few students got stipend on their internship.

My college is better than the other colleges. The faculty is very helpful. The college campus is very big and beautiful. All the departments are clean. The college has the hostel and Wi-Fi services. The college placements are very good as maximum number of students get placed every year.

The college has a good campus but the location is bit off as it is situated far from main part of Gandhinagar. The faculty is just average considering government standards. The canteen is good and the labs are equipped with fast computers. Sports facility is mediocre but days are celebrated regularly. It is a good option for those who are looking for government colleges near Ahmedabad.

It is a nice college for both teaching and learning new courses. The faculty are qualified enough to help you and they will also guide you for the studies. There is a problem for the students staying outside Gandhinagar for the transportation. But for the students staying in the Gandhinagar or near the college, they had the hostels for both boys and girls. But for the girls, they had much less fee for the government hostel which is in the neighborhood of our college.

I’m studying computer engineering recently. Placement is not so good. Very poor. Faculty shortage is a big problem. I am not recommend this college who want to do great study and want to sit in placement.

I personally didn’t liked the teaching scheme offered. As no practical knowledge is being imparted to the students. The Labs are just to be attended for attendance purpose. It should be made rather more of a compulsory task and current level knowledge should be imparted to the students. The overall atmosphere is pretty good to hangout. But, I would instead recommend for a good self-financed college than a Government college, if you are in search of genuine education. The faculties in GEC-Gn are...

Dissatisfied Because of Laboratories.

Placements: We have the most amount of seats in EC branch around 150 and the placements are below average one of the top recruiters is TCS and internships are pretty rare in short the placements are no good and below average the highest package offered this year was about 4 LPA.

My college is suitable for those who need a good campus life and affordable fee structure.

Placements: So a total of 5-10 people got placed out of our 170-student batch. The highest was not that much, but it was around 4 LPA, and the lowest would be 2.5 LPA, with an average of 3 LPA. I don't remember the names of the companies that came to our college; some of them were Wipro, GIDC, TCS, etc. Internship opportunities were mostly acquired from outside the campus, with about 40-50% of students getting placements. Top roles are related to telecommunication tech field roles and some routes for the so...

Good faculty, average placements and a decent campus.

Placements: Placements are average in our college. Almost 60–70% of students got placement. Top recruiting companies are TCS, infosys, Texon, etc. The top roles offered are web development, flutter, etc. The placement cell is always supportive in the placement process.
