Effectiveness of Placement Cell for B.E./B.Tech Programs at Government Engineering College, Jhalawar

From the reviews provided, here's a summary of the effectiveness of the placement cell:

    * One student mentioned that internships in their college were good, but the placement cell was bad, stating that "Not even one company came to our college for placement in 2015."
    * Another student had a positive experience with the placement cell, mentioning that their batch had a great placement record and most students were placed in top-rated companies.
    * A third student stated that the placement cell was very effective, citing that the maximum number of students from their batch were placed in top-rated companies, including themselves.

Overall, the effectiveness of the placement cell seems to vary depending on individual experiences. While one student had a negative experience, another two students had positive outcomes. It appears that the placement cell may require improvement to achieve consistent results.

Review of Government Engineering College, Jhalawar.
Placements: Around 50% of students got placed in this course. There are 33 students in the information technology and computer science branch of which 10 to 15 students got placed. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 1.5 LPA. Top recruiting company was Wipro. Around 60% of students got internships during the course at Udemy. The top role offered was software engineer in our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college was very good. All facilities were provided for students. Wi-Fi facility was available in particular buildings. Library consisted of many types of books, newspapers, and magazines. There was a separate building for all departments of B.Tech. Separate hostels were available for both boys and girls. Our college had a student-oriented mess that served good quality food. We also had a gym facility in this college. There was an indoor activity hall on our campus.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, knowledgeable, and interactive. The course curriculum designed by Rajasthan Technical University was industry based and made students industry-ready. The difficulty level of exams was easy to moderate. The pass percentage was 70-80%.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a software engineer and it was my goal since childhood. The system of clearing backlogs should be improved. According to the curriculum, students can clear their backlogs only after a year so they should conduct backlog exams for 6 months. Our college did not organise more than 1 fest every year but sports events take place. Top students opt for MNIT Jaipur.

Review of Government Engineering College, Jhalawar.
Placements: Students in our college didn't get placements. There are no companies for placements. Students can take placements if they have their own allied company in another way.
Infrastructure: There are no separate rooms for classrooms. In labs, no one can do experiments or projects as the staff in the lab don't know how to operate the machine. Library is not peaceful and no air-conditioning or separate room. Wi-Fi is always off and never worked. Hostel students face the worst conditions. There is no canteen. Mess food is the worst and can't eat regularly. There are no medical facilities, sports, and games.
Faculty: Permanent faculty was helpful to students but the temporary faculty does not help students. This curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are not more difficult, you can pass easily. If students want a good score in practical exams then they have a strong bond with their subject teacher.
Other: I chose this course because I want to become a civil engineer. The best thing is that you got a government college degree which is better than private colleges. Many things these can better like posting of permanent faculty, qualified lab staff, and many other things. There are no events, fests, and extracurricular activities held in the college.

Our college has good placements and faculty.
Placements: Our placement cell is very good. On the basis of my experience, this is a great way to see the efforts of the training and placement officer in our college. The maximum number of students from our batch was placed into top-rated companies. I was also placed at Ericsson Global India Private Limited. Our college has a great placement percentage.
Infrastructure: This is a fully Wi-Fi campus, and all departments have highly advanced labs and great classrooms with smart classrooms. Our college conducts social and sports activities and also represents the college in state-level tournaments every year.
Faculty: The faculty in our college are so friendly. They are always ready to provide us with something new and have great practical knowledge. The curriculum of the course is also related to the industry so that we can properly be ready for it. According to the practical knowledge, students have a great chance of getting a placement and gaining all of the knowledge.
Other: I always had a dream to be in the IT industry, so I chose computer science and engineering. In college life, I got so much practical knowledge about this sector and industry and also all the related topics that helped me to get into the IT industry in a great role.

This college has good faculty members.
Placements: Around 70% of students were placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 25 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 5 LPA. Altra Track company and NTPC, and many others were recruited in our college. Around 20% of students got internships from our course in Altra Track company. Top role in our course was junior engineer.
Infrastructure: The hostal condition was good in our college. Wi-Fi was available, and classrooms were also in good condition. Library was good, and so many books were available. Many facilities in our college hostal as like as a campus were looking good. The food facilities were good in a hostel. There was no ragging in our hostel.
Faculty: Teachers were well qualified, but they were not punctual. They don't spend time in the classroom with students. Curriculum was not good, this makes students a little bit ready for industry. Semester exams were very good, and cameras were available in this classroom, where exams were held. Around 80-90% of students pass the exam.
Other: In electrical engineering, students learn new things every day in practice. Every year a function were organised in our college. Scholarships were also provided to students. Grass and trees were available on this campus.

On average, our college is good.
Placements: The placements in our college were not conducted until the end of the academic year. Every student was afraid to get a good job. Internships in our college were provided. I am doing my internship in PWD Alwar, and my experience with placements was not good. The internship was good for me in PWD sector.
Infrastructure: Hostels are quite good here but not very much nice. The food served here is really nice.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very outdated here. Our university and the college are not taking any initiative to cope up with this problem. Still, students are studying service tax, excise duty and VAT, even after the introduction of GST. The faculty members of our college are very bad. They lack experience and are poor at making anything understandable to students. They were few in numbers. However, some of the teachers were very good and helpful in nature. Some teachers really want their students to get placed in good companies.
Other: Extracurricular activities were held in our college from time to time. Teachers conducted labs meetings with students. Together they performed practice and solved some tricky practices of chemistry. Sports activities in our college were good. Every sport was played by students like cricket, hockey, basketball, kho-kho, kabaddi, etc.
