B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (Cyber Security) - Batch of 2026

Good Infrastructure, Faculty, Placements in 2023. 2026 Looks Promising.
Placements: 10 LPA was offered by a private company for our seniors of the 2019 batch. Approximately 10 students were selected for that job from our college. This is the scenario of the 2019 batch, meaning the 2023 pass-out students. But let me be frank, in 2024, there were very few placements. Yes, some students were placed in sales companies and are working there, i.e., Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, etc. But this is not an effective and high-package job, which would be best for the livelihood of the person.
Infrastructure: Let me say that the best feature of our college is the well-organized infrastructure, which is why students don't face any trouble at all. In Bihar, the courses are very late. Sometimes it takes approximately 11 months to complete one semester, while on the other hand, it provides only 3 months to complete the next semester. This is really the worst thing about Bihar engineering. The completion of the course is not fixed. I think that the 4-year course is being completed in 4.5 years. Because of this, many students face trouble, as they are not able to get enrolled in the next course they want to pursue, like M.Tech or MBA. So, be ready to face these problems before enrolling and getting admission in Bihar engineering.
Faculty: Faculty members are awesome, and the faculty members of Computer Science are extraordinary. Best of the faculty members, I guess, among all government colleges of Bihar. Let me say this very clearly: the syllabus for the exam will be given by our university, but the teachers will only teach you the topics. They will not teach you the content which is going to come in your university exam. So, be prepared and make yourself ready for multitasking. As you enroll in the course, your multitasking ability will be activated. Because you have to attend all the classes (due to mandatory 75% attendance), give extra time for your university exam, and especially extra time for learning skills, because university courses don't provide jobs. You have to learn extra skills to get into the job market.
Other: Cultural events happen the most, then sports, and then technical. This is the only demerit of our college.

Our college provides quality education at affordable fee.
Placements: Our branch doesn't have any placement records. The training and placement cell is very active and makes efforts to provide placements. Our batch has participated in two placement interviews.
Infrastructure: Academic and administrative building is very good. There are modern laboratories for all the branches. Our college has a six-storyed boys' hostel which can accommodate all the 4th year students and a 4-storyed girls' hostel to accommodate all the girls. There are separate messes for boys and girls in their respective hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very helpful and qualified. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and are from premium institutions. The course curriculum is based on modern industrial needs and aim to provide the required skills for students to grab job opportunities in the industry.

Government Engineering College West Champaran Review.
Placements: This college is new, that's why placements are negligible. TCS and HCL technology came to recruit students. Some students have been placed in HCL and TCS. The college has shifted to a new campus so companies come to recruit students.
Infrastructure: The college has a new campus. The academic buildings and hostel are available in the college. Wi-Fi facilities are good. Hostel mess is above average in terms of quality. Medical facilities are not good.
Faculty: Some teacher and professor are new. That's why academics and projects do not help students. For project work, professors can be helpful. The syllabus of B.Tech is competitive. It is industry oriented, so semester exams are of good level.

The college administration and the ability of its resources.
Placements: There is no such placement related office in the college. But till 12/10/2022, two companies took off campus selection, i.e. TCS and HCL. TCS takes exams in both modes, by central and by remote mode but HCL considers only remote mode.
Infrastructure: College administration and hostel building is so good. Wi-Fi in the hostel is good. The administrative building is nice. Mess is available but the quality of food is very poor. There are sports and games.
Faculty: No teacher is helpful. They all lack knowledge because they do not make the topics understandable. Most of the teachers are guests. Semester exams are too difficult. It may be due to lack of knowledge of the teachers who teach us.

Infrastructure of my hostel is goodand teachers are not so helpful
Placements: Till now, total 4 students were placed and the highest package is 5.50 Lacs. The campus placement is held by HCL and TCS. These companies take off campus placement. Almost all students are going for internship in different company and are placed, some of them are taking internship in NBPDCL.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my hostel is good but there is no Wi-Fi for students, not only in hostel but in administration buildings. Classrooms are good, and library is in two parts, one is reading section and other is central book. The quality of food in mess is not so good, there is lack of medical facilities till now, other is a club for sports and game which held the whole schedule of game.
Faculty: No, teachers are not so helpful because the coordination between students is not good. The quality of teachers is average, they all have knowledge but do not how to deliver to the students. Events are held. The pass percentage is almost 100%.

Review of Government Engineering College, West Champaran.
Placements: Placements are negligible. In the college, the electrical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and electronics and communication engineering departments are available. TCS and HCL Technologies visit our college for recruitment.
Infrastructure: It is a new college so the hostel is new and its facilities are good. The mess is good. Classrooms, labs, and library facilities are good. Wi-Fi isn't provided for students. Academic sessions are good. Students are interested in projects and research-based education.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful and some are not helpful. Their knowledge level is moderate. The Academic is good, that's why students are ready for industrial work and appear for competitive exams. Because of the proper study plan of semesters and industry-oriented studies, semester exams are easy for students.
Other: I chose to get a bachelor of technology in electrical engineering because of my interest in it. The first batch started in 2019.
