The most attractive thing about GNDEC is its dedicated faculty. Labs are properly maintained and the software’s are up to date. Equal weightage given to internal tests lessons and between the burdens of the student in final exams. Excellent infrastructure adds more to this renowned college.
College is NBA accredited and autonomous under UGC act. It provides you with a very good and peaceful environment to study. All labs are up to date and always accessible to the students. Skilled staff is there to help students. Renowned companies visit the campus during placements like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Sapient and many more.
Classes are very interactive in and are healthy mix of formal lectures, case studies and presentations. Classrooms are spacious. The faculty members are highly qualified and experienced. They are also very supportive and friendly. Tests are conducted regularly. They can be both, planned as well as surprise in nature. Rules for attendance are quite strict so you can't bunk too many classes. Campus is very beautiful and is lush green. Placements are good, companies like Accenture, Syntel, TCS regu...
I am a final year student of mechanical Engineering. Best thing about the college is its fully equipped mechanical labs which are considered best labs & workshop in north India. Mechanical Engineering of this college is considered as best in Punjab. Other highlights and quality of the college is its core branch placement. Not only BPO but core companies also visit regularly in college that is most needed to an engineering graduate. Talking about other branches CS is growing rapidly nowadays. N...
This is one of the engineering colleges in Punjab whose name speaks for itself. The college has comfortable classrooms. The professors are good and knowledge providing. Of course, you can't miss too many classes, attendance is strict. Students here are extremely friendly. There is ground available for outdoor activities such as cricket and football. Boys have a lot of freedom, so do girls. Being a govt. aided institute, college fees is lower than all comparable institutes. Some good companies co...
This college not only teaches you engineering, but also how to tackle the problems that life throws at you. Awesome faculty. Placements could be better as calibre of the college is higher than its output. College faculty lets you enjoy your college life as much as it teaches engineering.
It is an average college. Some of the teachers are not experienced and some have poor communication skills, but some teachers are extremely good. The one good thing about it is that it is an autonomous college. So the students can see their exam papers. But paper setting is very poor.
This college is more of rural background students and Max of the seats are reserved for them. Initially you'll find difficult to adjust if you are an out sider but later on you'll find it easy to do same. Labs facilities are pretty good but you need to put in your extra effort if you want to learn something more. You won't find much of exposure few active societies are there from where you can learn and grow.
Best college for mechanical, civil trade although other trade are also better than any other colleges in north region. Most experienced faculty. No guidance for computer science. Students run for marks not for knowledge. Old education adopted by PTU is still going on which is not helpful at all.
It is a very good college as it provides a very good theoretical as well as practical knowledge and moreover the basic streams like electrical, mechanical and civil are been taught over there since more than 5 decades. The environment of the college is very nice and teachers are well qualified and help in creating a friendly classroom environment.
It's a good college. It has highly experienced faculty members. Also it has well equipped labs to cater students practical needs. Training and placement cell is also very good, there are good chances of getting placed in a good multinational company. It also has a good hostel facility. I think if you want to be a good electrical engineer, it is a good college for you.
GNDEC, Ludhiana is a prestigious college featured among top 50 colleges of India by different independent national agencies like India Today, Outlook, CSR, Star TV etc. since 2006. It runs seven Engineering Branches (Civil Engineering., Mech. Engineering, and Electronic. Engineering. Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Production Engineering.) At UG level and 15 PG level courses including MBA, MCA. The college has Ph.D in all Engineering Branches and it is a QIP Centre und...
CAT 2015 exam will be held on November 29, 2015. Equipped with a well-planned strategy, candidates can score well in the exam. For students preparing from a coaching centre, the buck doesn’t stop there. It is very important to put in extra efforts and focus on self-study to crack CAT 2015. Sometimes, materials received from coaching centres is not enough. Students look for further books and resources to study for various sections like QA, DI, LR and Verbal. It is not possible to foresee the que...
Teaching is neither excellent nor intolerable. Many lab assistants are new to teaching and often fumble while teaching. However, senior professors know their subjects thoroughly and students enjoy when they come to class for lectures. Lecturers in the ECE, Mechanical and Civil departments are known to be better than the others. An exception is the recently introduced aeronautical department - it's not recommended.
My college has a cool infrastructure, looks like a parliament model with many pillars, compact and nicely designed. College has a very active placement cell placing in Infosys, Wipro, different nationalized banks, army too approaches for the placements in our college. Canteen is sweet and delicious. Best faculty members are there, well trained, PhD degree holders maximum. Sports and other cultural activities are well supported.
College life is awesome. It has a great culture. Infrastructure is quite good. I can't comment the same about the quality of faculty. Placements are quite nice for CS and EE students. Overall, I would rate GNDEC a 4 out of 5 in good faculty. Digital library and good sports culture is available.
Over all it is good. Only the faculty is not much good. Fees is comparatively less. Crowd is not good. They do not organize much fests. I am looking forward for a better future. And struggling life is still going on. Professors do not explain the topics clearly although it is semi government.
Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College is considered to be one of the finest colleges in Mechanical Engineering in North India, however the ground reality differs. Yes, it was one of the best few year back, probably when we joined (in 2010). Near 100% placements in that year, prove my point. But every succeeding year from then the placement graph went on decreasing, mainly because of following reasons: 1. Increase in batch strength. The strength which was 60 in 2010 is now 210 in 2015. On the other ...
