Good college no doubt but the worst faculty members of the Information Technology department.

Placements: Less than 20% of students got placed, and mostly the placement cell was unable to coordinate. Even the training given by the placement cell was not even up to the mark. The coding grounds were of toughness level 8 and the training we got was about the basics which were of toughness level 3-4.

Review of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology.

Placements: On average, 20% of students are placed here every year but the college authority says that in our college, they give 90% placement for advertisements, but this is not fully true. The highest package on campus is 6.5 LPA. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA. The average package is 4.5 LPA. In the past few years, there have been no company visits to our college for my courses. Students get internships on campus in software service and product-based companies but not in a core company. Network developer...

The college excels in providing top-notch education.

Placements: About 70% of students are placed from my popular CSE course, which has a promising future. The highest package offered is 21 lakhs per annum, and the lowest package is 1.4 lakhs per annum. Top companies like Google, Microsoft, and Deloitte participate in recruitment, and approximately 73% of students secure internships with these companies every year.

Academic excellence and industry preparation.

Placements: At Guru Nanak College, there is more opportunity compared to others. More than 74% of students are placed in big tech companies in Computer Science. The highest package offered is 54 lakhs, and the lowest package is 8 lakhs, with an average package of 17 lakhs. The top companies are Zoom, Q2, RingCentral.

Not a good college but it could have been better.

Placements: The placements are not that great for our branch or course. There should have been some opportunity for us on campus placements. But they're not unfortunately for our B.Tech food technology course. But for food technology, there's hardly any opportunity in the state.

Review of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology - GNIT.

Placements: A lot of companies are giving placements. But moreover, CSE and IT branches are full of companies for placements. The rest of the branches like EEE, ECE, civil, and mechanical are getting essential companies for placements.

I am not more satisfied with the college, but it is good for studies depending upon the teacher.

Placements: Generally, for placements, students atleast have to clear all semester without any backlog. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. There is vary of companies every year, so no one concluded that the company is better or not.

Our college is also like other private colleges and provides very average placements.

Placements: Proper placements were offered for 10% of the students as the maximum of the placements offered was not relevant to our course. The salary offered is around Rs. 10,000 per month. Only Capgemini was a good recruiting company for our college, while the rest of the companies were BPOs. Even I had to attend off-campus for placements. Not many good companies visited during placements.

Little bit satisfactory because of big campus and playground and few faculty members.

Placements: Associate Software Engineer was the top role provided. Maximum job was offered only for technical support or BPO. Very few software developer or testing role given in placement. Salaries are based on company. Some company came with 3.5 LPA packages also.

There is good infrastructure but not good faculty.

Placements: The placements were very poor in our branch, but for seniors, it was best. 15% to 20% students were placed, that too in IT company. Very few core companies visited the college. Highest salary offered was 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. The companies like Tech Mahindra, ITC, Erricson visited the campus for placements.

Dissatisfied with the college.

Placements: GNIT comes under JIS group of colleges. Problem with this group is that there are many colleges, I guess 6 to 10, and placement happens for all the colleges together. Since good companies like ITC, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. pick a maximum of 15 to 20 students from our group, hence it turns out to be, only 2 to 3 students from a college getting placed in a company. Also, a number of companies which visit the campus are very less. From on campus, only 20% to 35% of the students get placement from t...

Guru Nanak Institute of Technology Kolkata.

Placements: The placements of the college are average. Many IT companies do visit for campus placement only a few of the students are placed compared to other institutions. In 2016 the renowned IT companies that visited were ITC Infotech, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Gate, Emphasis and some other companies. The highest recruitment was from TCS which took 32 students including all branches. The average salary given was 2.5 LPA with maximum offered by TCS was 3.25 LPA. There is a placement cell and training for campus...

Marks system is not good. They judge us based on our past.

Placements: Last year, the placement was average, and the placement condition is not good this year. 20% students were placed till now. The lowest salary was 1.10 LPA, and the highest salary was 3.25 LPA. 5-10% students got an internship. 2-4 thousand per month was the stipend offered. Very few MNCs have visited till now as there is no proper environment to take an online test.

Average college. Can be better.

Placements: The placement in this college depends on how good you are. If you have good academics and knowledge then you have a chance of getting placed in 4 or 5 big MNCs else many startups will give you a chance of being their part. The big MNCs include TCS, ITC, Zycus, Tech Mahindra, Indian Navy etc.

As per education, it was good but placement was very poor. On our stream 4 guys were placed in campusing. I am wasting my money there. I want to study core engineering either mechanical or electrical. But I can't get opportunity to study mechanical on this college.

The placements are not good here in this college, especially for the core stream but for IT and CSE it is good. Infrastructure is good and even the faculty base is not up to the mark. College environment is average. Extra-curricular activities are nurtured in a good way.

If you want to gain knowledge, then this College is perfect, but the Placement process is not good. Faculty Members are good, and Lab facility is good enough. The campus is very good. It’s all about College, is what I want to say, nothing else.........................

It is a good college in terms of learning and expanding your knowledge of technology. The campus environment is really nice, one can spend time here for studies, sports and extra-curricular activities. So, students here grow in terms of knowledge and personality development. I would recommend this college to others.

Placement was not up to the mark. The compensation offered by the companies were lower than industry standards. There were severe lack of industry exposure. During our time only 40% of the students were placed. The average package offered was 2.5 lakhs per annum. Some of the faculties were good. But rest of the faculties were below par, they did not had much experience of teaching. Campus was very big. Sports facilities were good, and the college has its own football and cricket team.

It is a college with an average kind of faculty but some were really good. It has a good space inside and a good football ground. Located near to sodepur railway station. It is located in such an area, where there are a lot of means of travel, particularly for people residing in North Kolkata.
