Is it worth pursuing B.E./B.Tech at Haryana Engineering College?

Here's a summary of the key points:

Pros:
* Good faculty members, with some being helpful and knowledgeable in their fields.
* Availability of free Wi-Fi, decent lab facilities (for Computer Science branch), and a good library.
* Scholarship opportunities are available.
* Interesting curriculum with a mix of theoretical and practical knowledge.
* Some positive events, such as sports meets and fresher's parties, are organized.

Cons:
* Infrastructure is outdated, with rooms and benches being clean but not modernized.
* Limited campus placements, especially for non-Computer Science streams, with most students relying on off-campus drives.
* Average salaries offered, ranging from INR10,000 to INR20,000 per month.
* Lack of proper management and maintenance of the college and hostel facilities.
* Poor student-to-faculty ratio, leading to limited individual attention.
* Some students reported subpar performance by the Teaching Assistant (T.A.), citing lack of dedication towards students' academic success.
* Not all faculty members are experienced or qualified, with some having recently completed their Master's degree.
* Limited resources and inadequate equipment in some departments.
* Low attendance rate among students due to poor quality of education.
* Poor conditions in hostels, with unhygienic food and little opportunity for studying.

Really good infrastructure and library.
Placements: In my college, more students get placements from computer Science branch only. My branch is civil engineering, but students from the branch of civil engineering do not get any placements in my college. The companies coming for placement in our college are Tech Mahindra and Wipro, whose maximum package is up to 3 Lacs.
Infrastructure: There are labs for computer science branch in our college but there are no labs for any branch. There is Wi-Fi, there are classrooms, Library is very well located in our college, where all branches books are available. There is 1 canteen and 1 stationary shop inside our college where we get our requirements.
Faculty: There are no labs. Teachers are very good in our college. College infrastructure is great, library is good, teachers are friendly. College is good in terms of fees.
Other: There are many functions arranged in between which is very good for increasing the knowledge of students.

It's a below-average college. If you want to learn other courses, there may be some scope.
Placements: Only 5% of the students got placements. The salary offered is Rs. 10,000-20,000 per month. Adhar Housing Finance is the top recruiter. Trainee and technical are the top roles offered. The salary package offered in our course is 2.4 LPA to 3.4 LPA. Almost 100% of the students got internships in various organisations like Public Development Work, L&T, CAD Centers, private sectors like ATS Construction, Kamal Construction, etc.
Infrastructure: There is a free Wi-Fi facility on the campus and hostel. There is a hostel facility with air-conditioning and with air-conditioning facility according to the affordability of students. The mess has the same menu for all students. Three meals are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tea and snacks are served in the evening. The college has a rich library with thousands of books, magazines and daily news papers.
Faculty: Most of the teachers here are B.Tech graduates, and it is not good for the same level of students. Most of the teachers are pursuing M.Tech or other courses, and that's why they are not fully dedicated to students syllabus. Teachers teach us only to pass the exam and how to score passing marks by attempting 100 marks.
Other: I have chosen this course as I like construction. It is said that civil is since civilisation. Humans of that time used to construct caves for their living, and now we build houses. Scope of this field never last.

Everything was average and there are no placements for civil. It has good infrastructure.
Placements: 0% placement in the session of civil but for other such as CSE, ECE, mechanical, electrical there is good placement up to 90-100% (for eligible) The maximum package was up to 6 LPA. Previous students are well placed and at a high post in different MNCs but for civil I will not suggest you join this.
Infrastructure: The lab facilities are good for civil engineering. Facilities available are very best when compared to other colleges. The canteen, labs, library, common room, girls hostel, park, games any others. They are having well-equipped apparatus for every lab of civil engineering such as fluid mechanics, soil etc.
Faculty: The faculty are highly qualified and are with good field knowledge. Everyone is friendly and good. They provide field related knowledge and are helpful. Everyone did their masters and had good knowledge which will help you to grow faster and faster. Lecturers provide good knowledge for engineers.

Best college for hard working students.
Placements: Our batch is the first batch of civil engineering in HEC, Jagadhri. Hardly, 5 to 8 students will be placed from campus, and most of them got placed by clearing interview with their own effort. The average salary for the campus placement is Rs. 2,00,000 per annum. Most of the companies are for electronics and computers branch students. Only one company visited our college for civil engineering.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in our college is good. The labs are good for practical experiments. The whole campus is air-conditioned. The college has a medical room. The sports meet held every year. The hostel room is good. The hostel mess provides good food and healthy food. No infrastructure related issue faced by me.
Faculty: The faculty is good and well-experienced. They are very helpful in all the aspects. They give proper advice in all aspects and future preparation like how to get a good score in GATE and how to crack government exams. Our teachers do not believe in attendance, and they believe in practical knowledge and don't let students concentrate only on theory.

Dissatisfied with the university as well as the college. No placements and educational trips
Placements: No placements at all with no facilities provided to improve such a thing. Only a few companies visit our campus that only for computer science engineering. Companies visited for civil engineering are Hypertech, Eclerx, etc. The highest package offered was 240000 rupees and the lowest package offered was 120000 rupees. Roles offered to students were trainee, site engineer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure was not so good. though AC facilities and Wi-Fi were provided, it does not work properly. Medical facilities were not also not good. The quality of classroom is not good but the lab equipment were good. Poor quality of food available in the canteen. Hostel facilities are not good as congested rooms in the hostel.
Faculty: Civil engineering is not so good as compared to other departments. non-teaching faculty team is cooperative. Most of the teachers don't have a fully cleared degree. They don't know how to converse in English. There is a village-crowded area around the campus. No feedback is taken from the class and no class representative is there in college. Teachers threaten students in terms of the attendance. The student to faculty ratio is 30:1.
