Heritage Institute of Technology is one of the best colleges in Kolkata.

Placements: Almost 30 students out of 70 students got placed in our batch. The salary package offered was around 3.5 LPA, TCS offered it. TCS was the top recruiting company for the year 2015-2016. I don't have any idea about the roles to students. Companies like Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Microsoft, etc., visited our campus for placements.

Don't expect big league companies to hire you. Get your degree and teach yourself programming.

Placements: Almost 70% students were placed in my course. The highest salary was around 8 LPA and minimum was around 2 LPA. Average salary was around 3.5 LPA. Amazon recruited some students from our course. Some students with CGPA more than 8.5 got an internship in TCS.

I am satisfied with a great campus and good placements.

Placements: Almost whoever wanted placements got placed at some company or the other. Top recruiting companies were TCS and Infosys. Other than these top recruiting companies like Nestle, Extramarks, Wipro, etc., visited the campus. The top roles offered were developer, assistant manager of projects, marketing manager, and several other relevant roles.

There were poor to moderate placements in 2018. I am extremely satisfied with the teaching faculty.

Placements: Around 80% of the students were placed through on-campus placements while the rest of the students through off-campus placements. The salary package offered was varied from 5 LPA to 3.2 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 4.1LPA. Amazon (sales) and Godrej were the top recruiting companies. Digital system engineering and assistant system engineer were the top roles offered in our course. About 50% of the students got internships. TCS offered internships to students.

The college should improve its placement cell.

Placements: Almost 85% of the students were placed. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, BYJU'S, TCS Digital Microsoft, etc., visited the campus. The highest salary package offered is 11 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. Internships in TCS is very frequent in the ECE department.

The unbiased review of HITK.

Placements: Many mass recruiters visit the premises. Placement is average for CS IT. Core companies also visit the campus. But the placement of core departments is just average. The college is growing so it is set to improve with time. College is well valued so off-campus placement can be pursued.

The college provides good infrastructure and facilities, but placements can be improved.

Placements: TCS was the main recruiter. Almost 350 out of 800 students were recruited. Companies like Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, Samsung R&D, etc., are few other recruiters. The average salary package offered is 3.36 LPA, and few students also got 7 LPA, the highest salary package offered is 28 LPA. Many sales companies also visited our campus for recruitment. Pool placements were also notified to students if held in other colleges.

The quality of education is satisfactory, and placements were average. Labs are well-equipped.

Placements: Placements in our college are average for B.Tech students. Our primary recruiter is TCS, and they are the ones who hire the majority of our students. Last year, over 300 students got placed in TCS; around 300 other students got placed in various other companies. In general, companies like TCS, Infosys, Microsoft, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai, etc., visit our campus for placements. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA. I am extremely satisfied with the faculty, great placements in 2015 and good infrastructure.

Placements: The student strength of the batch was 750. Out of them, 610 students were eligible for the campus placement process. Out of these students, 508 students got placed in TCS in the zero-day of the campus placements. After that, around 7 to 10 companies visited the campus for placements. Overall, 90% of the students got placed. Next year, the placement scenario was even better.

Review of Heritage Institute of Technology .

Placements: Placements are very much the same as the other colleges of Kolkata. TCS company will visit on the 1st slot and recruit many of the students with a package of 3.5 LPA. However, TCS digital paid around 7.5 to 15 LPA to the brilliant students. Core companies also visited this year, but they are not satisfying.

The college has excellent placement records.

Placements: The college has good placement records. Many top MNCs, like TCS, Infosys, IBM and Wipro have conducted recruitment drives in 2019. Education-based companies like Extramarks and Byju's and many marketing companies have also conducted recruitment drives.

It is a decent engineering college near Ruby.

Placements: Placements in this college were decent. There were many mass recruiters. There were off-campus drives also held in our college. Even some core companies visited our campus for the placements of core branch students. The salary package offered for B.Tech ranges 3-4.5 LPA.

Heritage Institute of Technology is the right college to choose. Worth for money.

Placements: Placements were good. MNCs like Infosys used to visit in day zero during placements. There were core companies which visit our campus. There were 100% placements. Even the faculty had a good network which was helpful to students to get an internship easily. There was no stipend offered for the internship.

A decent college with good placements and an above average college life.

Placements: Placements in our college were quite decent. Although, most of the students were paced in IT companies irrespective of their field of specialisations. Stone top recruiters were Infosys, ITC Infotech, Tech Mahindra etc. A few core companies visited the campus too, but the package offered was not too great. Most of the students chose to join IT companies.

I had an amazing time here. There is a good balance between studies and extracurricular activities.

Placements: The placement percentage varies every year. The placement rate of our batch was around 85%-90%. Different IT companies visit our campus on the zeroth day of the placement season. After that, some core companies and marketing companies visit the campus to hire students. The average salary package offered is around 3-3.25 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is around 6.5-7 LPA.

This college is better than what you expect from the colleges in West Bengal.

Placements: Students are forced to apply for placement drives conducted by well-reputed IT companies like Infosys and Wipro that hire students on great numbers. People who want to get placed in core companies to utilise the knowledge they gained in the four years of their career have to sabotage the aptitude tests conducted by IT companies intentionally, or else they have to accept the job offer that they don't want to do. The students who are unwilling to accept those offers will be barred from future plac...

The infrastructure is good. Placements and faculty are decent.

Placements: Placements in HITK are quite decent. Almost 80% of the students got placed this year. If you do not have any problem in getting placed in an IT company, then our college is a good option. But if you are looking for opportunities in core companies, then I would suggest you look for some other options as most of the companies that visit the campus are from the IT sector. Core companies visit the campus for placements, but they recruit very few students from our college.

Overall, I had an excellent experience here.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. Mostly IT companies visit the campus for placements. Companies like Infosys and Wipro were the major recruiters. Some core companies like Line India and Berger visit the campus for placements. The college also has an active cell. Overall, around 70% of the students in our batch got placed from our college. Summer internships were also provided to all third-year students.

A fantastic college with a little inefficient placement cell.

Placements: PLacements were average for our batch. Companies like Infosys and Wipro visited the campus on the zeroth day of the placement season. Placements for the core departments were not that good. Linde Group offered a salary of 5 LPA. Placements for the chemical department were not that good. The placement cell is not that efficient. They used to force us to get into the IT industry. Internships are also organised by the college, but they were unpaid.
