The college provides great exposure and placement opportunities.

Placements: The placements at Heritage Institute of Technology are 100% as promised during admission. There is a dedicated training and placement cell in college that helps in the grooming of candidates and invites companies for campus recruitment. The average salary package offered by IT companies ranges from 3.50 LPA to 4.50 LPA. The roles offered by the IT companies are of an assistant systems engineer, developer, tester, etc. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, STUP Consultancy, etc., visited the campus...

The placement scenario in college needs to improve.

Placements: Placements for the senior batch (2015 to 2019) of our particular department were good. The overall placement scenario in our college is below average. Core streams like mechanical, electrical and civil don't get good placements in their respective fields and are forced to join the IT companies which are not well-suited for the course they pursued.

HIT-K - A Heritage in real

Placements: When it comes to placements, HIT-K has a good reputation. The percentage of students placed is around 60-65% every year with TCS being the mass-recruiter. Tech-giants like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant also do offer jobs to the students. The average package is around 4.2 LPA as of recent years and the placement cell being productive. College does not offer internships, students have to do that on their own.

I'm satisfied with the infrastructure and faculty, but slightly dissatisfied with the lack of books.

Placements: The placement cell of the college provides sufficient support to students regarding placements. Over the past few years, not many core companies are visiting the campus for placements. However, a majority of eligible students from all the streams get placed. In the recent batch, around 50% of the students have been placed. Mostly, IT companies visit the college and the starting salary package offered is around 3.36 LPA.

Heritage Institute of Technology is a pretty good college for engineering.

Placements: Placements in Heritage are always very good. The training and placement cell is proactive in providing all the eligible students with a good job. Most of the students of our batch and also our senior batch gained good opportunities in top companies. The highest salary package offered was more than 12 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was somewhere around 3 LPA. There are also numerous grooming rounds conducted in the college to help a student with interviews.

This college is a good choice for average students.

Placements: Placements for the students of IT department are okay but not as good as ECE and CSE streams. The core placement scenario isn't that bright. This year, TCS has hired 10 out of 60 students of our senior batch with a salary package of 3 LPA. The core placements of past years include companies like Star Cement, Voith paper, Lynde and few others. They offered a salary package of around 6 LPA. The total number of placements in such firms does not reach two-digit number.

I am very thankful that I got a chance to study in HIT-K.

Placements: As it is a technical college of Kolkata, placements over here are quite relevant. Unlike other colleges mainly one or two major companies come and mass recruit students. The salary packages offered by every company to students is quite less than the other colleges.

Moderately satisfied with the college.

Placements: Every year, many mass recruiting companies visit our campus and hire many students. TCS Ninja hires more than 500 students in zero slot which is impossible in some other private institutions. Companies like Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech, Infosys, TCS Digital, Wipro, Sankalp Semiconductor, and various other companies visited our campus for recruitment and gave excellent feedback on our college students. This year, some students are getting placed in very competitive campus interview conducted by TC...

Absolutely dissatisfied with placements.

Placements: The placement scenario is presently not good at Heritage. Other colleges which have a ranking less than us are bringing in more companies than our training and placement cell. This has been happening for the past 1-2 years. No amount of protest or complaints works here.

It is not your dream college, but it is fine.

Placements: Placements for civil engineering are very bad. As far as I know, no core companies came here for placements. Mass recruiters came and selected some students from civil, but the packages offered were too less. Other core branches like mechanical and electrical had far better placements than civil. I would recommend the college only if you are not hoping for better placements.

The college is very bad because the placements are awful.

Placements: Placements are very hard as core companies don't visit the college, and compared to the computer science department, our branch gets low offers. The salary packages offered last year were from 2-3 LPA, but not in the college. No company visited for placements of the civil branch. Very few students got internships.

There are average number of placements and no infrastructure in our college.

Placements: The placements are very hard for civil engineering as compared to other branches in B.Tech. For other branches like IT and ECE, lots of companies visit our college with job offers through the placement cell. No company has visited for the civil branch in the last 3 years.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the faculty, good placements, campus and infrastructure.

Placements: Placements for our senior batch are good. The highest salary package offered to senior batches are 4-5 LPA. Different core and IT companies visit our college to offer placements. Placements for core branches are very good. The highest salary package offered to our seniors in core branches such as civil, mechanical and electrical is up to 4-5 LPA in different companies.

The faculty section needs improvement, and placement opportunities are good.

Placements: The placements of the college are pretty much satisfactory. The college provides summer internship programmes. I think it is altogether a great learning experience. Many students get placed. A couple of instances show that the placements and the corresponding pay scale do not satisfy the student.

Infrastructure and faculty are good. Placements are average.

Placements: Placement scenario at Heritage is pretty average. The mass recruiter of our college is TCS. Don't expect many companies to visit the campus especially to hire students of streams like biotechnology and chemical engineering. But statistically, the percentage of students getting placed is pretty decent.

One of the best colleges in the country and worth the investment.

Placements: Placement opportunities of the college are pretty good when compared with other colleges. Most people are placed in mass recruiting IT companies as far as we know in first years. The scope for being placed on campus in core Biotechnological companies are low. Overall, getting placed will not be difficult if you are pretty serious about it.

Faculty were really good and helpful. Placements were average. Infrastructure is very good.

Placements: Placements in our college are good. Mostly, IT companies recruit the students after the B.Tech course. Generally, TCS is known to recruit most of the students. As far as I know, the placement rate for B.Tech graduates from biotechnology is not very good, but students can get good results by working hard.

A great college with nice infrastructure, academics and extracurricular activities.

Placements: Placements of the college are very good. Around 80% of students were placed, but this year, it went down quite a bit. However, placements are still going on. The salary packages offered ranged from 3 LPA to 10 LPA. Major companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, and Tech Mahindra, etc., have visited our campus for recruitment. Internships are also provided to students, but they offered some paid internships and some non-paid internships. Students of IT, CSE and ECE departments have the highest place...

Placements: The college has a good placement percentage. A lot of companies visit our college among which TCS is the most important one. Students are offered an average package of around 6 LPA. Students receive ample opportunities for internships as well.

The infrastructure and faculty are good.

Placements: The placement percentage of the electronics and communication department is above 80%. Companies like Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Infosys, Capgemini, IBM India, Microsoft, ITC Infotech, Phillips Carbon Black, etc., visited the college. The highest package offered was 16 lacs per annum in 2014. The lowest package was 3 lacs per annum. The college has a placement cell.
