The administration of our college is careless.

Placements: There are several factors, situations and conditions summing up to the placement situation of any college. The same is true for our college too. Overall, when compared to other similar colleges, our college surely provides better placement opportunities than those, but it doesn't even imply that there isn't any scope for improvement. I got placed through campus placement drives, but there are several of my friends who are yet to be placed, and that number is not small.

Heritage Institute of Technology is a great place to study.

Placements: Heritage is one of the most reputed colleges in terms of providing IT jobs but lags in providing core jobs. As an ECE student, I had to face issues during placements because I wanted to get a core job rather than settling with for an IT job. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, ITC Infotech and other small companies usually visit the college to recruit students. The highest package offered was around 6.5 LPA, the average package offered was 3.75 LPA, and the lowest package offered was ...

This is one of the best colleges. One can get enjoyable experience throughout the 4 years.

Placements: Overall, placements in our college are very good. Mostly, IT companies and a few core companies visit our college to hire students. Almost everyone who has the minimum criteria provided by respective companies got placed through college placements. Training and placement cell dedicate themselves by heart to help their students in getting good placement offers.

A cool place to spend time with friends.

Placements: Placements have been very good in the past years. Around 80-85% of the students are usually placed every year. But this year placement has gone down. Out of 900 students, only 250 have been placed till date. There are chances of companies coming in the forecoming days. Hence expecting the same percentage of placement this year as well. Salary starts from around 3.5 LPA and goes upto 8-9 LPA. The higher range may vary though. Many companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wirpo, Microsoft (sometimes), HCL, ...

The college is not worthy if you want to go for mechanical engineering.

Placements: The placement committee wants students to join TCS only. The core placements are average. The placement structure can be immensely improved if the management cooperates with students. The TPO cell needs to be more active.

Heritage is a place where you can know your hidden potential and can enjoy the college life.

Placements: I got placed in TCS, and I'm currently working in TCS. TCS was the mass recruiter for the batch of 2016 as it hired more than 500 students out of 700. So, getting placement is like a piece of cake if you are studying in Heritage. Later or sooner everyone gets placed in the college placements. So don't think of placement too much, just enjoy the college.

Life of Heritage, where Learning is an Interactive Evolutionary Process, Worth it.

Placements: The placement scenario isn't as good for the core departments as the IT ones, which comes as mass recruiters. However, a very few core companies such as Godrej, Simplex, do come, yet the placement scenario isn't good for the core departments. The placement for the Chemical, Biochemical is fairly good.

A bird eye view on Heritage Institute of Technology- Kolkata 2016 Pass out.

Placements: All the students are forced to sit in the zero slot for an IT company which is the mass recruiter in the campus. A minimum number of core jobs are availed to the students. Never witnessed 100 per cent placements but if want to join an IT company be rest assured and can join HIT-K. Internships are generally catered by students themselves or with the help of teachers which are mostly unpaid.

Satisfied with faculty and infrastructure, but not sure about the placement conditions.

Placements: There is no student placement body. The college placement cell conducts the process. The avg package is 3.25 LPA. You can expect the mass recruiters to be the day0 company. 90% students get placed in these companies only, irrespective of your department. You should not expect to get placed in a core company from campus. There is no provision for getting internships.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the curricula and quality of faculty members and placement quality.

Placements: Almost None. Extremely disappointing in terms of placements. 10 people placed out of 75 with 4 members in non-core companies or out of stream companies. Line, Voith and Star Cements took one each. Rest of the students including me were ignored for core placements. Companies that come to our college are mostly sales based rather than core technical based.

Satisfied because of good placements and faculty's are helpful.

Placements: Training and placement cell compliments the effort of the members of faculty by organizing value addition programs and providing placement opportunities to students. There are so many opportunities comes if u are knowledgeable and show your skill then u will surely managed to get a job. TCS is the mass recquirter but here comes so many large and small industry.

Good faculty and infrastructure and a decent place with decent campus crowd.

Placements: The training and placement cell invites companies like TCS, Wipro which hires students at an average package of 3.20 lacs per annum. There are other companies like Mahindra and Direct which also visit the campus and hire students according to their requirements and skills. A year before, the highest package offered to a student in off-campus recruitment was 16 lacs per annum. The training and placement cell is decent and helpful.

One of the finest exposures to real world is given here.

Placements: The percentage of placements increased this year. Many well-known companies recruited students from different streams. The average salary offered is nearly 4 LPA. TCS, Wipro, All Stake, Byju's, Star Cement, Godrej are some of the various companies that visited this year.

My veiewst on Heritage Institute of Technology.

Placements: Placements were quite good considering the number of students placed in our batch. Most students were placed in TCS with an average package of 3.2 LPA. About 90% students were placed from our senior batch as well. Regarding internships the college authorities were quite helpful. The placement cell is quite active and helps the students with their cvs and other necessary applications to get placed.

My college- the heritage!

Placements: For BioTechnology the placements were not that good. Infosys was the only mass recruiter we which had allowed us to sit, there were 2 3 more companies. But that was it. However for CSE there were a few more companies that had come. In our senior batches the placements were better, since BioTech people were allowed to sit for all mass recruiters.

Satisfied with the infrastructure, but hate the college curriculum and administration politics.

Placements: The placement percent of the college is 70. The average salary offered is 3-3.5 LPA. Tata Consultancy Services is the largest recruiter. The internship opportunity is very low. However, a stipend is offered for vocational training. There is a separate placement cell which is always ready for your service.

Good college with great education but a little less placement.

Placements: Only IT jobs are available, very few core companies are coming for civil department and they are also taking only few students. TCS only have taken 6 students and other companies are taking only 3 or 4 students per company, and rest of the students are suffering.
