Very Glad that I've joined this College.
Placements: As per 2020 and 2021, during the COVID years, about 85-90% students were placed in top organisations. The top Companies included, Taj, JW Marriott, Hyatt, Sheraton, ITC, JayPee, etc. All students are placed for Internship Training at different Brands including Taj, Marriott, Hyatt, Fairfield, Le Meridien, etc.
Infrastructure: All HM Labs including F&B Lab, Food Production Lab, etc. are available with all the required equipment. Library is available for issuing related books. Wi-Fi Facility in whole campus is available. Basketball Court, Cricket Practise Net, all sports equipments are also available in the campus. The hostel rooms are quite small but the food is Delicious. All medical and households are available nearby.
Faculty: All the faculty members are well educated and well experienced in their fields. They are helpful enough and know the true meaning of knowledge. The Curriculum is too relevant and makes the students industry ready. The semester exams are too easy that 85% students easily pass with great points.
Other: The aim of choosing this course was set in my mind since I was in 8th standard. It was my passion to become an hotelier. The best things about this profession is that you are free to travel, free to eat, and also free to meet and greet new people. The thing that needs improvement is Industrial Visits and the Practical work must be increased to make the student industry ready. The College organises different competitions, sports matches, Fests, etc., time to time to make the student divert mind from the pressure of studies atleast for some time. The campus is at very calm and place full of greens, between the hills of Dehradun, which makes the scenery more attractive and peaceful.

It is a nice college for BHM course.
Placements: There are 95% placements in our senior batch. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 14,000 per month. Many companies visit the campus for placements like Oberoi, Marriott, Haldiram etc. The roles offered to the students were the chef, staff, front office, etc. Many students go for the internship, which is very useful. There is a placement cell in the college.
Infrastructure: The classrooms are huge. The library is also available to study, and it issues books. Sports and games are conducted yearly. Chef competition held at the college is nice. The labs are very nice and are huge. The quality of food in the canteen is good. The hostel rooms are good. I didn't face any problem in the college. Many games are conducted on the world tourism day.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in providing the notes and in giving the information. All the teachers are postgraduates. They are very knowledgeable and gives good knowledge. The teaching quality is very good. Photos are used to teach so that we can easily understand the concepts. The industry exposure is provided. The faculty to student ratio is 1:99.

Campus is small but faculty is very good.
Placements: Lack of placement. 11 students out of 75 got placement. But if you work hard you will definitely get placement. In this college, you will get amazing faculty with very low fees. I think this college is unique in Dehradun because you can not find this much low fees and this much good faculty.
Infrastructure: Campus is very small. Toilets are very bad. Canteen is the worst and library is like a small bathroom. Classrooms are good but in the classrooms there was lot of sounds of many things like vehicles and all because this college is on main road and in the centre of city. And also lack of parking.
Faculty: Faculty is very good. Teachers put a great effort on students for their doubts and allover faculty is 4.7 out of 5. But the main thing is that the fees are very low. You will get better faculty with low fees. This was the main reason why I have taken admission in this college.
Other: No events at all.

A:
{Source: BBA students & alumni}

Based on the statements from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:

* Beautiful campus with a good location
* Well-experienced and knowledgeable professors
* Placements are decent, with most students (around 95%) getting placed
* Higher packages offered, ranging from 3-15 LPA
* Top recruiting companies include Infosys, Collaboration, BYJU's, TCS, etc.
* Teachers are supportive and willing to help students

Cons:

* Limited number of faculty members, leading to a workload for individual teachers
* Infrastructure development is ongoing, which may impact overall experience
* Not all students are placed, especially those who don't perform well academically
* Packages offered might not be competitive in today's market
* Canteen food is average and hostel facility is not available

Overall, while Himalayan Institute of Technology has its strengths, such as a beautiful campus, experienced professors, and decent placements, it also faces some challenges, particularly in terms of infrastructure development and job opportunities. It's essential to weigh these factors carefully before making a decision about pursuing BBA at this institution.
