Affordable but an excellent college .

Placements: We have 58 students in our electrical engineering department. And every year, most of the students who get placed are from this department. The average package offered is 2.8 lacs per annum, the highest package offered is 6 lacs per annum and the minimum package offered is 1 lacs (I think so). Most companies like TCS, Wipro, Himadri Chemical, and Royal Enfield visit our college and offer jobs.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is great. We have awesome computer laboratories with high-end systems. We have a good library facility, and there are all kinds of engineering books available. But Wi-Fi is not available for student's personal uses. On our college campus, we only have a boys hostel, which is pretty affordable and good. They have both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food on their hostel menu, but there is no canteen on the college campus. There is also the availability of a medical room. And we have one big playground, and a sporting annual function is celebrated every year.

Faculty: Teachers are very skilled in their own fields. And they are also friendly. They use great study techniques while teaching us. And when we talk about whether it makes us ready for industry, the answer is yes. If you want a job quickly to support your family, then this is the best choice. The semester exams are not very tough, which makes them student friendly but they're also not very easy, so yes, they will train you for the industry.

Other: I chose this course because I have a passion for electrical engineering, and it is significantly more affordable compared to B.Tech courses. Despite the affordability, the quality of teaching, academic experience, and library facilities are impressive. Campus life is pretty good at our college, providing a balanced mix of academic and social experiences. There's a comprehensive overview: Social Life and Clubs The social life on campus is vibrant, with numerous clubs and societies catering to a variety of interests. These include cultural clubs, technical clubs, sports clubs, and more. Students can join clubs related to dance, music, drama, coding, robotics, and entrepreneurship, among others. The lack of formal social groups might suggest a more individualized approach to socializing, but many students find their niche through these clubs and campus events. # Infrastructure The campus infrastructure is well-developed, featuring modern classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, and extensive sports facilities. Classrooms are equipped with projectors, Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating arrangements, ensuring a conducive learning environment. # Hostels The college offers a boys' hostel, which is both affordable and comfortable. The hostel provides both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options in its menu, catering to diverse dietary preference. The food quality is generally good, with a varied menu that includes staple dishes and occasional special meals. The registration process for the hostel is straightforward, typically requiring an application form and a nominal fee. Its affordability makes it a popular choice among students. And when talking about improvement, I think that there is a place to talk about machines in the workshop. The college also conducts an annual function and a techfest every year to increase the creativity of students. This college also offers Vivekananda scholarship and railway concession tickets for students, which make it affordable.

We feel proud to be a student of HIT.

Placements: More than 75 percent of students get placement in our course. The highest package is INR 6 lakh. The average package is around INR 4 lakh. The lowest package is INR 2 lakh per year. Many factories offer jobs for us. 75 percent of students get an internship in a year.

Infrastructure: Good classroom and lab classes are available here. Green environment and a joyful college campus. Free Wi-Fi is available on the college campus. A big library is present on the college campus. A big playground is available inside the college campus. Good medical facilities are available here.

Faculty: Teachers are too good and helpful; they are also too friendly with us. Teachers are knowledgeable and qualified. Teachers teach us very well; their teaching quality and teaching process are amazing. The course curriculum is ready for an industry job. The semester exam is moderate, with a pass percentage of 35.

Hooghly Institute of Technology is the perfect college for every Diploma seeker.

Placements: In the last couple of years, because of the outbreak of the corona virus, the recruitment process is really held up. But in the past, it was quite good. Above 79% of students got placed in companies like ITC, L&T, Ultratech, Cognizant, Capgemini, ACC Cement and many more. The packages are variable from company to company. But for a Diploma engineer, it is quite good. My basic pay when I joined ITC was 3 Lacs per annum. WBPDCL, Indian Railways, WBSEDCL, WBTCL and many companies offered internships here. The internships are very valuable to every candidate for their future. About 95% of students got internships here.

Infrastructure: The hotel is inside the college campus. Wi-Fi is available for the betterment of students to help in their studies. The classrooms are a bit old as the building is quite old here. But the huge library on the 3rd floor of the building is the main point for students. New and old, all kinds of engineering books are available here for the betterment of students. A field is also present inside the campus. In the afternoon, cricket, football, carrom, and volleyball are played there. The hospital is just 2 minutes walk away from the campus. So, there is no problem for the health care of any students.

Faculty: The main reason to choose this college is its faculty. All the faculty members are very well-qualified and knowledgeable. Their intentions to teach every student are very clear. Their knowledge of practical field also helps us to be industry-ready. The curriculum is maintained by WBUT. Semester papers are not so tough that anyone can fail. But if you are not knowledgeable, you are not going to shine in exams, that is for sure. The pass percentage is just 40%.

Other: It was quite clear for me that I wanted to become an electrical engineer. The best thing is that I get to control the invisible power that helps every industry to run, every house to run, and every machine to run. It is quite cheerful. To gain vast knowledge, you have to understand the basic principles of everything. Social, tech fest, sports, and freshers are held every year, and many guests and big celebrities are invited to the shows to perform. Scholarships are available for talented students, and the best part is its connectivity. It is very close to Pipulpati bus stand (1 minute walk away), and it is 5 minutes walk away from Hooghly Ghat railway station and 13 minutes away from Hooghly Station. Many autos and electrical totos are available from the station to the college campus, and these are quite affordable.

Placements: 70% students gets campusing and the remaning to go for the higher studies. Himadri, CETC,etc. Companies hire to our college in campusing . More than 50 % student do internship from our college to get better job offer and placements Companies are civil , elctrical ,etc

Infrastructure: Better Infrastructure . I say all over Diploma college no one have give n hostel facilities like our college . All facilities are here . No problem . Quality food is also good. All sports have been played in the field of the college . All students have to pay it

Faculty: Yes the teachers are helping in nature . Yes if they can do better study their is a chance where in campus selection. Yes it makes student industry ready for job. No difficult exams . A student is a average he can pass the exam . Pass percentage is 40 % .
