What is HPU MAT?

The Himachal Pradesh University Business School conducts Himachal Pradesh University MBA Aptitude Test or HPU MAT for candidates interested to pursue MBA courses offered by the institute. This state-level exam is conducted by this NAAC-accredited 'A' Grade University to select students for admission to MBA course. HPU MAT exam score is, therefore, a very important factor for all the candidates to get an invitation for the second round of admission selection process (GD/PI round). HPU MAT is a paper-pencil-based test of two-hour duration, which carries 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from four sections.

Candidates should have passed the Graduation degree course with a minimum of 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category students) marks from a recognised university,
Candidates in their final year of Graduation and awaiting results may also apply for the exam, provided; they can present the passing certificate at the time of admission
The maximum age limit for the course is 26 for boys and 28 for girls. SC/ST candidates, both boys and girls can apply up to the age of 29

HPU MAT admit card 2025 will be released on the official website. Only registered candidates will be able to download the admit card. Candidates must check the complete details before downloading the HPU MAT admit card. In case of any error, the candidate must inform the authorities immediately.

HPU MAT 2025 Result

HPU MAT result 2025 will be declared online. Test takers can check their scores on to the official website by using their application number. Following the declaration of HPU MAT results, a merit list will be prepared for GD/PI round.

The schedule of GD/PI round will be announced on the official website. Selected candidates will be required to check the date and venue of their GD/PI on the website and be present in person for the same. In the absence of a candidate, his/her seat will be awarded to the next candidate.

The Himachal Pradesh University Business School (HPUBS), earlier known as the Institute of Management Studies offer admissions to 120 seats in the MBA programme. The selection criteria for HPU MBA Admissions 2025 are as under:
