Placements: Placements in IIEST Shibpur are decent. There are both on-campus as well as off-campus placements. Reputed companies such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Texas Instruments visit our college for recruitment. The average package is around 7.5-8 lacs per annum, and the highest package touches 50+ lacs per annum. Generally more than 75% of students get placed.

Placements: Currently, around fifty percent of our batch has been placed in really good companies like Microsoft, Google, JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Barclays, McKinsey, and many more, and are placed with pretty good CTCs. The top roles offered in our college are SDE, Analyst, and Data Scientist.

Placements: In the Department of Electrical Engineering, around 85% of students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered in our department this year is 37 LPA by Texas Instruments. The average salary package offered is around 7 LPA - 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Texas Instruments and Tata Steel. Students got internships at Texas Instruments and ICICI Bank.

Placements: Good percentage of students get placed. The lowest package 4 Lacs, the highest 59 Lacs. TI, TCS, Google, Microsoft some in college. There offers good package and good role. About all in 3rd year got internship because it is mandatory to do internship in 3rd year.

Placements: I am in Mechanical Engineering and more than 80% of students get placed every year in this course of B.Tech. The highest salary package was around 60 LPM and the lowest salary package was around 8 LPA. More than 70% of the students get internships.

Placements: Placement percentage is nearly 80%. Top recruiting companies are PWC, Saint-Gobain, Tata Steel, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, HSBC, Accenture, etc. Top roles include automobile, manufacturing, and consultancy. The highest salary package offered was 22 LPA and the average salary offered was 10 LPA. Nearly 80%-85% of students got internships.

Placements: Placements percentage in the Department of Mechanical Engineering was 70%-80% in the year 2024. Many companies, such as PWC, Mahindra, Caterpillar, etc., offer salary packages above 8 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 15 LPA-20 LPA. In other departments, like CS and IT placement rate is higher.

Placements: In the department of Information Technology at IIEST Shibpur, the placement record for the year 2023 was 82.11 percent. The highest package was 51 LPA, offered by Microsoft. The average package was around 19 LPA. Some of the companies that recruited students from my department were Google, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Accenture, and Deutsche Bank. Placements: One of the best Engineering colleges in West Bengal and one of the oldest in India for Engineering. The research opportunities are very good, but the placements are not that great! The top recruiting companies are PWC, TCS, as they take most of the students, but also in our time, companies like Google, Texas Instruments visited the campus. The highest package was 45 Lacs and the lowest was 3.3 Lacs.

Placements: 75 percent of students were placed in our college with the highest package of 13 lacs per annum and the lowest package of 2.3 lacs per annum. Top companies offered an internship. Few students got opportunity of internship. Top roles offered are geologist, data analyst, teaching job, etc.

Placements: After your 4th semester, you can apply for internship and after your 6th semester, you can be eligible for on- and off-campus placement. Companies like Accenture, IBM, Tata Steel, PWC , Wipro , Mahindra, and so on are visiting for placements and the total number of students placed the previous year is 67 out of 89 and many of the students who did not apply for placements go for higher study. As all students, I also dream of placements.

Top recruiters are Microsoft, Google,Tata , Atlassian, etc. Almost all students got internships in Microsoft, Google, Texas, etc. In the IT department, the main roles are cyber security and cloud computing.

Placements: At IIEST, students become eligible for placements from the 7th semester, with top companies like Tata Steel, Coal India, JSW, and Vedanta. Job roles offered in operations, site management, and safety. In Mining Engineering, the highest packages range from 20-25 LPA, with an average of 7-8 LPA. The college has a placement rate of 100% for the last 4 years.

Placements: Placements were excellent. IIM A has a cluster system (with companies of the same field arriving on the same day); almost 40% of the batch, I guess, had offers by the end of cluster 1 (i.e., consulting and finance firms), including PPOs and lateral offers. 100% of students got placed.

Placements: Placements are average and the total credit goes to the students because after such a bad hostel condition and poor Wi-Fi and internet facility, the students are succeeding. Most of the students try off campus placements which is good but if the administration functions properly the placements can rise many folds.
