The KCET 2025 exam dates have been announced for IIIT Dharwad admission to the BE/BTech and BPharma courses. As per the schedule, the KCET 2025 exam will be held on Apr 18 & 19, 2025.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam for admission to BE/BTech courses is scheduled to be held between Jan 22 and Jan 29, 2025. For BArch and BPlan courses, the exam is to be conducted on Jan 30, 2025.

IIIT Dharwad fee structure is a combination of a number of components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee, medical insurance, mess and other security deposits, etc. Out of all the fee components, there are a few components that are charged one-time by IIIT Dharwad, however, some are to be paid semester-wise or annually, such as the tuition fees. I'm satisfied of my college, good food good weather excellent placements in 2024.
Placements: 92% of students have been placed. The highest package is 35 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA. An average package of 11 LPA was offered. Microsoft is the top recruiter. 50% of students got internships at Amazon. Software development roles were offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good for my course and department Wi-Fi is also available at 200 Mbps. The lab is also well furnished classroom is also good. The library is short but all courses book material are available
food quality is also good in canteens, food is better than mess; medical facilities are also available; all types of sports are played; and interiiit is also available .
Faculty: All professor are very friendly and they are very available when they are at campus They are all are Ph.D. graduate and well-learned professors and teachers. quality is also excellent. Yeah, our course is the latest according to industry demands, which helps to place the higher jobs
Our semester exams are very hard but passing will be decided based on relatively high grade.

Absolutely best atmosphere to learn new things.
Placements: We have one placement cell on our campus that looks after all the placements of the students in the college. They track all the student's data and make them ready for job interviews. According to 2023 statistics, the highest package is 35 LPA, and the and the average package is 11 LPA.
Infrastructure: I'm currently pursuing a B. Teach data science and artificial intelligence. Our college provides spacious classrooms with good ventilation and well-equipped computer and electronics laboratories. When it comes to Wi-Fi, the signal strength is quite good. But the quality of the food is not up to par.
Faculty: The faculty is friendly with us in sharing their knowledge at any point in time, but there'll be many leaves from the faculty. And coming to my course (DSAI), the curriculum is designed in a way to explore the areas of machine learning, data analytics, and related technologies. Our semester exams are not so tough, but moderate.
Other: My main reason to choose this course is to develop core skills in currently trending technology (Artificial Intelligence).

IIIT Dharwad - The Misleading Campus.
Placements: 75 percentage of students in my course have been placed into various companies. The highest package is around 35 LPA, the lowest package is around 3 LPA and average package is around 9 LPA. TCS, Wipro, Infosys are few companies recruiting from our college. 40% students got internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure in the college is pretty good. The Wi-Fi speed in incredible. The lab computers are lacking and the classrooms are half decent. The library is practically non existent. The hostel facilities are pretty bad. The food taste and quality needs improvement.
Faculty: The faculty are good and the cirruicullum is decent. They are qualified in PhDs and are quite knowledgeable. Teaching quality can be improved upon. The course is curriculum relevant and makes students industry ready. The semester exams are at a moderate level difficult.

IIIT Dharwad's review with advantage and disadvantage.
Placements: 30% of students who were placed last year. You can check the placement scenario on the official college website. The highest package was 39 Lacs (off campus); on campus, around 15–17 Lacs, the average package was 10–12 Lacs, and the lowest package was 5–6 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is way better compared to other IIIT's.
Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and libraries are great. Hostel rooms are good.
Food quality is good but can be better.
The canteen is good.
Medical faculty members—doctors available only on Sunday.
Almost all sports equipment is available. Online gaming competitions are also conducted.
Faculty: Faculty (core subjects) are great. Few subject faculty are good—not that good. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant. Yes, it does make the students industry-ready. It is not that tough to get good marks; one can get good marks if he or she can listen to the to the class and understand concepts. There is a relatively high mark. So, the pass percentage depends on all the students.
Other: Well, I did not choose this course but I got so inspired to do it. But it is best as there are not that many assignments and a chill course compared to other colleges. Everything is sorted out in this course. Here, the events will be very few (almost 1-2 in one semester).
Extracurricular activities: one can build sports quality as here there are more opportunities in sports .

Campus placements are good but do not reach the level of expectations.
Placements: I am in 2nd sem, some of our seniors placed in core electronics company. One of my super seniors entered in ethical hacking like stuff, and one of the seniors got an internship in IIIT Allahabad in core ECE. One got a US internship in the CS branch. One got an internship in NVIDIA. Exact percentage I cannot say.
Infrastructure: Electronics subjects are quite difficult than others branches; there are labs for 2 courses in electronics. • Labs are good with the best Wi-Fi. • The library has books for academics, novels, GATE, GRE, and for JEE also for partial droppers. • Classrooms have LCDs and a good environment. • Food is good enough, till now (1st March 2024) it is purely veg, but after some time, the mess committee will add non-veg also (but there will be a separate mess for non-veg). • Canteen is there, and it is good enough. • Our college is doing very well in sports; there are teams with the best players for inter IIIT sports. • We have a GYM also on our campus with almost all equipment (it is open 24*7). • Medical facilities are also good enough. • Hostels are newly built, so there is no issue of rates, lizards, etc. • Good cleanliness in hostels and campus.
Faculty: • Teachers are very supportive.
• Almost all professors have Ph.D. degrees.
• As we all know that the curriculum of IIIT is good. You can also check the curriculum of all 3 branches on our college website.
• For electronics, exams are quite difficult, but if you give 2 hrs daily for understanding, you will go through exams easily.
• Minimum 85% attendance is required to sit in exams.

Not at all happy with the campus.
Placements: Very few candidates are being placed in this academic year 2024. infosys, tcs and some other companies have visited our college. The highest package was around 35 Lacs. The lowest package was around 5 Lacs. Average placement in this college is around 15 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Classrooms in the campus are very wide and have seating capacity of 70 students. There are multiple labs in the college and different electronic labs consisting of various equipments. Wi-Fi facility in the campus and college is good. Canteen present in the campus has variety of snacks, fruits and various food items. Medical facilities are good and there is a doctor available in the campus every thursday. Sports facilities are not good and equipments need to de improved.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and have a lot of experience in teaching industry. Teaching quality is good. Yes courses are relevant. And very useful at the time of placements. Semester exams in this college are very easy. One day before the exam is more enough to pass in the examination.

IIIT Dharwad admissions are done on entrance-basis.
