The GATE 2025 admit card for admission to the MTech course will be available for download from Jan 7, 2025. Additionally, the GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Main 2025 Session 1 exam for admission to BE/BTech courses is scheduled to be held between Jan 22 and Jan 29, 2025. For BArch and BPlan courses, the exam is to be conducted on Jan 30, 2025.

The total tuition fee for BTech CSE is INR 8.8 lakh for four years as per an unofficial source. IIIT Ranchi has a decent infrastructure and offers campus facilities. It provides a hostel to both girls and boys who come across to study here in IIIT Ranchi. The campus includes a sports complex, Computer Lab, and Electronics Lab. IIIT Ranchi college review.
Placements: Placement is fairly good enough here. The highest package was 83 LPA, the lowest is 7 LPA, and top recruiting companies include Atlassian, Nvidia, Jio, Infohedge, etc. Students are mostly offered SDE roles here in these companies. Internships are not provided by the college; you have to do it yourself.
Infrastructure: The course curriculum is good in general; it is revised as per current market trends and needs. Every year, it gets updated. We have very nice classrooms, Wi-Fi is there in all of the campus, and we have a library as well. The hostel has Wi-Fi, tables, chairs, and good sports facilities, and you can have fun for sure there.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful throughout the course, and they are highly qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is relevant as it is based on current market trends. Semester exams are of moderate level here. It is easy to pass the exams if you focus on the class notes and in the class.
Other: I wish that facilities are improved in the near future, like getting a new main campus, as it is operating from some other place now. They can also improve mess facilities, as it is jeopardized, tbh.

Overall, our college is decent. You can come here without any hesitation.
Placements: Placement in our college is decent. In 2023, placement was very good, but in 2024, placement was not that good due to the recession. The highest package in 2024 was 28 Lacs, and the average package stands between 13-12 Lacs. The placement rate was also not that good.
Infrastructure: The hostel of our college is good, but our mess is not very good. Proper hygiene is not maintained in our mess, and dogs lick the plates. Also, food is not served on time. The taste of our food is very bad, especially paneer. Paneer tastes the worst. Our college has decent labs.
Faculty: The professors of our college are very supportive. Most of them are Ph.D. holders from respected institutions in our country. The curriculum of our college is according to modern trends, and it mainly focuses on making our students industry-ready. The level of our semester exams is moderate.

Review of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi.
Placements: The placements have been really great as of 2023, but as per the reports, it has declined a bit in 2024. We can't say exactly how good or bad it is until official reports get published. The percentage of students getting placed is quite decent (above 90%). The percentage of students getting internships is average. Recently, a third-year student got an internship in Google.
Infrastructure: To be fair, the hostel we are currently living in is quite decent, but we'll be moved as it is not a permanent campus. The permanent campus may be in operation from 2026. Classrooms are okay-ish; it would be better if we had a permanent campus. Wi-Fi speed is decent, not that bad. The library is not very grand, but availability is not an issue. Labs are decent. You'll not be devoid of technological facilities in academics.
Faculty: Some of the teachers are well qualified and very good at their job, also very passionate, but the same cannot be said about others. Some of the very qualified teachers teach like we already know everything, leaving too much room for doubts. The curriculum is the same as all the IIITs, outdated if you may say so. Exams are of a decent level, not very tough, not very easy. But at the end of the day, it's YouTube from where you'd be studying.
Other: Crowd is decent that is obvious as they are top 2-6% in all of India, but campus life is quite bland. Gender ratio is too bad. Worse than any other IIIT or NIT.

Real Review of IIIT Ranchi.
Placements: This year up to 30 students got placed. The highest package this year is 30 LPA. Recently, a few days ago, 2 students placed in Nvidia Company with the highest package, and the lowest package is about 7 LPA. Many companies visit our college like TCS, Microsoft, Nvidia, and many more. Top roles offered by the company are Software Developer.
Infrastructure: We got Wi-Fi facilities in our hostels and in our academic building. We also have computer labs and analog labs. A library is also there. The quality of hostels is good, but the quality of the mess is a little bit bad; it has bad quality. Medical facilities are also there.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified and knowledgeable. They help students with their problems, and somewhat class is also interactive. The course curriculum is very relevant; it makes students ready for industry level. Semester exams are a little bit tough, but it is relevant.
Other: Events and fests do not occur in our college, but recently I heard news of the coming of the founder of 'Take U Forward' to our college. The surrounding is good. Connectivity is also good as many sources are available to reach the destination.

Real review of IIIT Ranchi.
Placements: The highest package is 22 LPA in 2024, and the lowest is about 5.3 LPA. About 25% of students in their fourth year got placed. Students got internships on their own. Major roles offered in our course are software engineers. Many companies visit to our campus like Infosys, TCS, Flipkart, etc.
Infrastructure: In our hostels and academic buildings, Wi-Fi facilities are available, and classrooms are big enough in which 80 students can sit. There are 2 labs in our college, one of computer science and one of electronics and communication. Mess food is bad, and mess is not hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and qualified and have vast knowledge in their subjects. Course curriculum is very tough. Yes, it makes students ready for industry. In a year there are 2 exams, two are midterm exams, and two are end semesters. Semester exams are a bit difficult.
Other: Events and fests do not occur in our college. Connectivity and surroundings are good.

Placements: The placement is overall good. There is recession time and placements are decreasing everywhere, even in the top IIT 's but it's good that we're aware of our placements. The highest package this year is 28 LPA off campus, with an average of 12 LPA and a median of 9 LPA. This year's placement has decreased if we compare it to the last year .
Infrastructure: The course syllabus is a little hectic. You have to study to maintain a good GPA. Well-equipped labs are also available. Since we do not have a permanent campus, we have to manage our hostels in the Khelgaon housing complex. Flat-wise system is there as a hostel.
Faculty: The faculty here are well educated and hold Ph.D. degrees. They are very friendly and will help you work on your interests. They are very helpful and take care of you not only academically but also personally. They take care of the students regularly. They always try their best to provide help.
Other: Please don't join the college by searching on YouTube, Google and Instagram. Everything looks beautiful in the photos.
