Overall, this college is great for students who are willing to work hard.
Placements: Almost 50 percent of students were placed in all the streams. CSE and its branches had more than 50% placements, and it was average placements this year, lower than last year. The highest package for my stream was 35 LPA. Students who have completed web development and other coding languages strongly in subjects got internships in good companies.
Infrastructure: Labs are in very good condition. They have lots of computer labs with high-speed LAN wires and other labs like the Chemistry lab, Electrical and Electronics lab, Physics lab, all in very good condition. The equipment is new and properly working. Hostels are good, but the food quality is okay; sometimes they cook good food, but sometimes they don’t.
Faculty: Some faculty members are good, but some are not good at teaching. Although the content covered is up to the mark for good placements and skill development, obviously, a student has to work hard on their own for the skills taught in the course. The curriculum is relevant as of now. The semester exams are medium difficult and not very easy; it depends on the faculty too.
Other: I chose this course because it was the best available option out there according to my JEE rank. Events in this college are not on a grand scale but are enjoyable.

Satisfied with the infrastructure, sports facilities, and placements of 2023.
Placements: The overall placement of the year 2024 was 63.6%, which is not official and of 2023 it was around 87%. The amount for the highest package was 46.5 lacs per annum and the average package stood around 15 lacs per annum. The lowest was around 5 LPA. Top recruiters were Amazon, Flipkart, Google, TCS and all other FAANG companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of IIIT UNA is very good as compared to other IIITs established in the same years. It has its permanent campus, 4 hostels for all years, academic block, admin block, gym, music room, football ground, 2 basketball courts, 2 basketball courts, tennis court, and around 9 badminton courts, 2 in each hostel. All the hostels are well-equipped with Wi-Fi and speed is good; washing facilities are provided in the hostels, which charges no extra cost; a common room is also there for table tennis. The mess food of our hostel is good as compared to other colleges; it has a decent menu and has a mess committed for any concern. Academic block has a library, classes, and labs; all are well-equipped and up-to-date. All facilities are well qualified and are Ph.D. holders, and the foreign return curriculum you can know by visiting our college website.
Faculty: Our college follows a strict curriculum and a strict 75% attendance policy. All the faculty members are well qualified and are Ph.D. holders. Many are foreigners, but they will not give you as much importance as any other college. But staff and lab assistants are quite helpful and help us to demonstrate and perform experiments properly. Semester exams had a relatively simple marking scheme and are quite easy and mostly questions come from the PPT provided by the teachers.
Other: The main reason I choose IT over CSE is the comparatively easier curriculum than CSE; IT doesn't have hardware parts. The first year is comprised of Physics and Chemistry like in classes 11 and 12 and core subjects are not taught in 1st year; these subjects are boring and less fascinating. The coding culture of our college is not good. Before joining this college, I heard many positive reviews about the coding culture at IIIT Una, but ground reality was different. No hackathons are conducted, and everyone is interested in sports only. Our events comprise MRIDAND a cultural fest, YALGAR a sports fest, MERAKI, ROBO DRIVE, PROG-O-THON, etc.

Not a value-for-money case, it feels.
Placements: Last year, 85% of students were placed. This year, placements are ongoing. Jio hired 7-8 people, and some other companies have also come. The average CTC last year for the IT branch was 16 LPA, with the maximum package of 46.50 LPA offered by Amazon. Amazon was the top recruiting company last time. Some other companies included Apache, BharatPe, Jio, and LinkedIn.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities provided by the college are better compared to many NITs and IIITs. It has its own campus built on 80 acres. Hostels and classrooms are well-equipped. Wi-Fi is provided, but it is slow in hostels, especially on Sundays. The library is too small. The food is decent, sometimes good depending on the mood of the workers. Recently, a canteen was opened with some good options available.
Faculty: Teachers are mostly young and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is below average. The course contains Biotech, which is irrelevant to the IT branch, but in the second year, many good courses are available that are relevant. Semester exams are not that difficult to pass; just make sure you have 75% attendance.
Other: The campus is built away from the main city Una, but bus service is available, so you can access it.

Faculties are good, fabulous placements in 2023, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: My batch consists of total 65 students and the recent batch have around 75-77 students. Currently, CSE's highest package is around 32 LPA, the lowest is around 6 LPA and average is somewhere 10 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, TCS, etc. Many students got internships through off-campus and can do research internships in the college.
Infrastructure: Various facilities are provided in our infrastructure, like full campus Wi-Fi and labs with modern and latest PC systems. We also have a VR and AR lab along with a machine learning lab. The hostel is also good; three sharing rooms are provided along with high-speed Wi-Fi; a canteen and medical facilities are also available. Mess food quality is good and better than other NITs and IIITs.
Faculty: Faculties are good, and some are damn good in their field, but a few faculties are not that good, and the teaching style is also boring. Course curriculum is according to the needs of modern industry with more practical and hands-on experience courses. Semester exams are fine if you know the concepts; you can easily solve them.
Other: I chose my college as it was the best college and branch I was getting at my JEE Main rank. Some more programming frameworks, like AWS and Azure, should also be present in the course. Fests are good. We have three fests: first is our technical fest Meraki, cultural fest Mridang, and sports fest Yalgaar.

Average placements but top notch facilities.
Placements: In the 4th year (batch 2020-2024), about 45 percent of the seniors got placed on campus. The highest package of the CSE branch was 33.19 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA and the average was 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Deloitte, Nvidia, Amazon, and American Express. About 70 percent of 3rd-year students got internships this year. The top roles offered are for either full-stack development or data science.
Infrastructure: The facilities in this college are of top quality as they were newly built in 2020. The labs are new, and all apparatuses work properly. The classrooms are fully spacious, with Wi-Fi, AC, and theater facilities available. The library is also available from 9 to 5 daily but students use the study rooms in the hostels more. Hostels are also very good as compared to other engineering college hostels. They are cleaned regularly (once a week) and the bathrooms are cleaned daily. Both cold and hot water are provided in the hostels. Various games like badminton, tennis, volleyball, basketball, cricket, and football are provided.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful every year. Most of them hold PhDs in their respective fields of study. They teach using both the chalk method and presentations too in the classroom, which helps us, as in many institutions professors just read the slides but here most of the professors are not like that. The course curriculum is new and is updated every year with a focus on industrial skills. As the college is autonomous, the professors and Holds decide the syllabus themselves rather than depending on some other universities. This helps in keeping the curriculum well updated with time, as many NITs even now teach useless subjects in engineering. The semester exams are medium-level for most of the subjects. About 95 percent of students pass the exams easily and most of the non-passers are due to a lack of attendance. Only 1 percent of those who fail the exam.
Other: The sole reason I chose this college was due to my low JEE rank (about 25k), in which I could not get into any NIT. Also, it has good infrastructure and hostels. Improvements in placements are required as of now. Fests was quite underwhelming due to financial issues. The sports festival and technical fest were good but other cultural events like DJ night and Star Night were horrible. For connectivity, the college is situated in a village called Pandoga, and it is near Jaijon Mod. It is about 10 km from Una city. Any bus going to Gagret from UNA will pass through Jaijon Mod, which will be the stop for this college .

IIIT UNA is a rapidly growing college.
Placements: The placements are quite decent. The growth in placement statistics is significant, increasing from an average of 9 to 14 Lacs last year. Almost 90% of students were placed, with the highest off-campus package being 60 Lacs and on-campus package being 40 Lacs. The average package was 14 Lacs. Recruiters like Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Deloitte, etc., visit every year. Almost 100% of students secured internships, with roles offered in software and electronics.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available, though not very stable. Labs are well-equipped with most facilities, and classrooms are decent. Lecture halls are also present. The library has a good collection of books. Hostels are well-equipped with rooms sufficient for 3 students, each having 3 almirahs and 3 hangers. Two badminton courts are located inside the hostel, and there is a mess within the hostel premises. The mess food is decent, with a menu decided by the student council. Facilities like 1 cricket, 1 tennis, 1 football, 2 volleyball, and 2 basketball courts are available. Medical facilities are provided in Transmit House. Each of the three hostels has an indoor games room, and additional hostels are currently under construction.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, with many holding Ph.Ds, and some are pursuing Ph.Ds. They possess ample knowledge about their subjects. While some teachers may lack effective teaching abilities, students can always clarify doubts by approaching them personally. Teachers are available in their cabins from 8:30 to 17:00 on weekdays. The first-year course may not be very relevant, covering subjects like PCM and communication. Practical sessions are included, and grading is relatively flexible, without a fixed passing percentage.
