Yes, CAT 2023 dates for admission to IIM Ranchi are out. To apply for the CAT exam, candidates are required to create an account, fill the CAT registration form and pay the exam application fee. The 2023 CAT form have to be submitted by a certain deadline after which no application will be accepted. For 2023 CAT exam, CAT registration will go on between Aug 2 and Sep 20. The exam will be conducted on November 26, 2023. Students are required to appear for the CAT 2023 exam in Computer Based Testing mode at allotted test centres. CAT exam 2023 for IIM Ranchi admission will be held in three slots. These are as follows:

Morning slot: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Afternoon slot: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM

The 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) offered by IIM Ranchi is a highly competitive programme that combines undergraduate and postgraduate education in management. To be eligible for the programme, candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in aggregate. In addition to the academic eligibility criteria, candidates must also appear for an entrance exam to qualify for admission to the IPM programme at IIM Ranchi. The entrance exam for the programme is usually conducted in the month of April and is called the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT). The IPMAT exam is a computer-based test that assesses the candidate's aptitude in quantitative ability, verbal ability, and logical reasoning. The exam consists of two sections, each with a duration of two hours. The first section tests the candidate's quantitative ability and data interpretation skills, while the second section assesses their verbal ability and logical reasoning. It's important to note that IIM Ranchi also considers other factors such as past academic performance, extracurricular activities, and personal interview performance in the final selection process for the IPM programme.

To be considered for the MBA programme at IIM Ranchi, individuals need to complete the CAT form. If an applicant has already submitted the CAT form, there is no need to fill out a separate form for IIM Ranchi. The procedure for applying to CAT involves the following steps:

1. Visit the official website.
2. Click on the 'new registration' option.
3. Provide personal information such as name, date of birth, nationality, phone number, and email ID for registration.
4. Use the received ID from the email to log in and access the application form.
5. Fill in personal and academic details.
6. Upload a recent passport-sized photograph and a scanned copy of your signature.
7. Choose the desired courses and select IIM preferences.
8. Indicate your preferred test city for the exam center allocation.
9. Make the payment for the application fee using a credit/debit card or net banking.

The CAT also serves as the entrance exam for the MBA-HR and MBA in Business Analytics programmes offered by the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi.

IIM Ranchi's final CAT cutoff 2023 was 94 percentile for the General category students. Cosidering the previous year's trends, it is estimated that the final CAT cutoff 2024 for IIM Ranchi will range between the 94 and 95 percentile. The interview process of IIM Ranchi is held under CAP (common admission process). The candidates who qualify for CAT are further invited to the personal interview round. The PI is conducted virtually and exact dates and information for the same is communicated to the shortlisted candidates in due course. The personal interview round is conducted to assess the candidate’s leadership skills, subject knowledge, problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
